We’re looking for a People and Culture Manager to shape and lead Amala's first dedicated people function, ensuring our global team is supported by rigorous and human-centred people practices. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and our international leadership team to manage the end-to-end team member lifecycle and continuously foster a deep sense of belonging across our remote workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead end-to-end hiring and design onboarding programmes that strictly adhere to Safer Recruitment requirements.

• Performance & Development: Manage the annual review cycle and coach managers to have meaningful, development-focused conversations.

• Policy & Culture: Act as a custodian of Amala’s culture while maintaining compliant HR and policies and the Single Central Record.

• Compensation: Maintain our job grading framework and lead salary benchmarking against the NGO sector.

You will be successful if you have

• CIPD Level 5 qualification and proven HR management experience within an NGO or mission-driven organisation.

• The ability to navigate the nuances of supporting globally distributed teams across different cultures and time zones.

• A human-centred mindset that balances rigorous HR compliance with empathy and a commitment to team wellbeing.

This is a leadership role with real scale, real accountability and real impact. As Services Manager, you’ll lead a multi-site service supporting young people across Greenwich - shaping environments that are safe, consistent and genuinely geared towards helping young people move forward with confidence.

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for children and young people living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers. Supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community.

The role is home-based but you will be required to attend regular clinics in London including GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital). About the role

Reporting in to the Central Supporter Engagement Advisor, the Church Engagement Support Officer will focus on inspiring and engaging churches, Christian Aid groups, and the public across UK to support Christian Aid’s mission.

The post-holder will build and maintain relationships, maximising participation in appeals and campaigns, providing fundraising support, and managing feedback to uphold Christian Aid's reputation, and will ensure donations and gifts are processed efficiently in the CRM system to meet donor requirements and maintain accurate supporter information for effective contact, building relationships based on trust and openness.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Church Engagement Support Officer include:

• Build trust-based relationships with supporters to deepen their connection with Christian Aid’s mission, proactively engaging with new and lapsed churches to inspire them to give, act, and pray.
• Provide high quality stewardship to supporters making donations, processing payments quickly, effectively, and accurately, and manage associated data with care and diligence.

What will I be doing?

Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid have for over 45 years supported women and children with services around domestic violence and abuse. Could you be a part of our team as we continue our mission to end domestic violence and abuse? 

The region’s leading charity in tackling violence against women and girls, BSWA offers a helpline, webchat, drop in and and community support as well as emergency accommodation in six refuges across the area.

Projects supports women in the criminal justice system, in healthcare settings, and throughout the community, offering support to women and children experiencing domestic violence. Alongside this, we also have staff offering training and consultancy to businesses and health and social care professionals alike, raising awareness on gender based violence issues.

Key Responsibilities -

To provide specialist expertise on DVA within the Public Protection Unit (PPU) and the local policing unit (LPU) across Coventry and Solihull police stations, covering Solihull Borough. This role will support the improvement of police practice by providing tailored guidance, advice, and professional support to officers and staff, strengthening their understanding of safe, trauma informed and appropriate interventions with women and children affected by DVA.

To provide information, support and signposting for women accessing WMP disclosing experiences of domestic violence/abuse.

Influencing professional practice, including delivering training and awareness sessions 

Carrying out needs and risk assessments and support of women experiencing abuse

Hours of Work

17.5 hours per week. Term time only.

Hybrid working - one day a week in hospital and home based.

Annual leave entitlement:

5 weeks a year plus one day for each additional year served up to a maximum of 6 weeks (pro rata for part-time employees) As this is a term time contract, annual leave is taken outside of term time. The annual leave entitlement pay is included in your salary and paid over 12 months.

 Main Duties

1. To work with families with disabled children using Great Northern Children’s Hospital, providing in-person information, advice and support around issues faced by families with children with disabilities.

2. To support parents to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make decisions which are right for their families.

3. To build strong relationships with hospital partners, funders, Contact volunteers and voluntary sector partners.

4. Focus on developing and enhancing our work with hospitals, aiming to reach more families early in their journey with their child’s disability.

Cross functional duties:

1. Work in partnership with health, local government, and voluntary agencies to ensure those families’ social, emotional, and practical needs are recognised and responded to wherever possible.

2. Work with the By Your Side team to seek ways to improve partnership working with other agencies and hospitals to provide a seamless and co-ordinated service to children and families.

1. Contribute to representing Contact’s work in the hospitals at a strategic level, where appropriate.
2. To work with colleagues to produce appropriate information and publicity materials for families and professionals.

1. To work with parents of disabled children using Great Northern Children’s Hospital, to provide information advice and support to meet their need.
2. Provide in-person drop-in information services for parents of disabled children who attend Great Northern Children’s Hospital. nb the specific hospitals/locations may change as the project develops).
3. The service is in-person, with additional online support.
4. Ensure the provision of good quality information and support to parents and professionals working with families.
5. Respond to enquiries via phone, social media, email and through the drop-in service for information and advice from parents, signposting on to other organisations where appropriate.
6. Work in collaboration with hospital and hospices staff, and colleagues in other By Your Side services (e.g., Midlands, London and Scotland) to continuously promote and improve the By Your Side service for families, developing and growing a network of partners
7. Actively gather information on local services and explore the most effect ways to disseminate this across the designated location(s).
8. Deliver and contribute to the design of information workshops (delivered face to face or virtually) to parents and professionals.
9. Maintain accurate up to date records of work.
10. Participate in external family and information events to promote the work of Contact.

Founded in 1897, LSE Students' Union is one of the oldest Students' Unions in the UK and is the representative and campaigning body for students at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Like other Students' Unions, it also funds and facilitates student activities on campus, including 250+ societies, 40+ sports clubs through the Athletics Union (AU), the Media Groups, and the Raising and Giving (RAG) charitable fundraising initiatives.
 

What’s the job?
 

LSE Students’ Union has one of the largest and best offerings of student clubs and societies (including RAG and the media groups) in London, which shapes and impacts on almost every student’s experience of LSE. The post-holder for this role will support the Student Leaders within these Societies in delivering their activities throughout the year, and provide impactful development opportunities for them in doing so. The person who takes on this role will also communicate effectively with, and offer exceptional customer service to the diverse range of students and staff who engage with the Students’ Union in this area, such that a positive and rewarding extra-curricular experience is championed for all.

It is important that you have good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide excellent customer service, to ensure that our students/groups receive the best possible experience from our support. You must have a keen eye for detail and an organised approach to your work, as you’ll be handling sensitive data/information, and have various competing priorities at any one time. Reporting to the Heads of Complaints and working closely with the Systems department, the purpose of the Complaints Officer position is to handle complaints made to IPSO in a personal, authoritative and efficient manner and to assist in the operation of IPSO’s pre-publication and privacy notice services.

About the role

This is a role for someone who is articulate and efficient, with excellent communication and analytical skills, and an interest in news and how it is regulated.

IPSO has a strong commitment to staff development, and the role benefits from a well-structured and stimulating programme of progression. Starting with drafting responses to complainants whose complaints are not being taken forward, the successful candidate will progress to investigating complaints, drafting rulings for external publication, and mediating between complainants and publications.

You will also be trained to staff, on a rota basis, IPSO’s pre-publication and privacy notice services, which provide 24-hour confidential advice to editors and journalists on matters relating to the Editors’ Code and protect members of the public and public figures from potential intrusion and unwanted press attention.

The key role responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and investigating complaints to IPSO to determine whether they fall within its remit and raise a potential breach of the Editors’ Code of Practice;

Skills and experience

Efficient, effective and empathetic, the right candidate will have a strong analytical ability that they can convey both verbally and in writing. You will have excellent writing skills, and experience of drafting important documents to a high level. You will also have experience of dealing sensitively and professionally with people from a range of backgrounds. Complaints Officers are trusted with a high level of autonomy in their work – so demonstrable time management and organisational skills are required.

A personal interest in current affairs and the news industry is a must, but there is no need for a degree or qualification in this area.

What we can offer you

There is a competitive starting salary of £41k, plus another £2k after 24 months of service. ST Giles Trust have been delivering interventions to high-risk young people in the borough through the Community Harm & Exploitation Operation Group since 2012. Through the VRU My Ends Consortium, SGT will work in partnership with consortium partners lead by Active Communities Network, to support vulnerable Southwark Young people to address concerns around group offending and related violence.

About this key role
Holding a caseload of up to 12 clients at any one time, our successful candidate will provide a client-led holistic support service that responds to individual’s needs, including supporting with housing, finances, benefits work and debt advice, parenting, health, ETE and criminal justice, and appearing in court.

We will rely on you to complete initial needs assessments with clients and to support them to develop individual support and risk management plans and regularly review them to assess progress.  You will be expected to promote inter-agency collaboration in the assessment and planning process, and to develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, while ensuring you close cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for young people that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support is also a key aspect of the role.

What we are looking for

• Proven record of engaging successfully with challenging people, for example people who have complex needs or are reluctant to discuss their needs
• Strong experience in working as part of a multi-agency team
• Experience of using support plans and of calculating risk and implementing safety procedures for vulnerable clients
• To have a relevant qualification to a good standard or be working towards one
• Sound understanding of issues facing this client group
• Excellent interpersonal, prioritisation and communication skills, verbal and written.

West Sussex Parent Carer Forum (WSPCF) is an independent organisation for the parent carers of children and young people aged 0-25 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).  We support parent carers by providing information, signposting, and training that equips them in their lifelong caring role and empowers them to participate in shaping services for their children and young people.  WSPCF is hosted by local Sussex based charity Amaze.
