The Role

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Engagement, you will be responsible for:

• Creating, delivering, and evaluating our Individual Giving
• Building a diverse and sustainable portfolio of individual giving income streams, including regular giving, appeals, raffle, lottery, digital fundraising, mid-level giving, and legacy gifts.
• Planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns that integrate with marketing, communications, and retail initiatives.
• Using data and insight to drive performance, monitor results, and develop strong cases for support.
• Supporting branches and volunteers in delivering individual giving initiatives.
• Developing supporter journeys that encourage loyalty, growth, and long-term engagement.
• Ensuring all activities comply with fundraising legislation, best practice, and data protection law.

This is a hands-on role, that will allow you to take ownership of your programme while collaborating across the Trust to deliver impactful campaigns and initiatives.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the organisation’s individual giving strategy to meet income targets.

Person Specification:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in individual giving or supporter fundraising, with proven success in programme management.
• Experience in planning and delivering multi-channel supporter acquisition and retention campaigns.
• Strong knowledge of donor stewardship principles and engagement strategies.
• Ability to analyse data to inform campaign development and measure effectiveness.
• Excellent organisational skills, with a proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable creating compelling marketing materials for digital and print channels.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection, and supporter management systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships across levels and teams.
• Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
• Demonstrates a passion for environmental causes and supporter-centred fundraising.

Our Policy and Campaigns Manager will have a strong track record of delivering successful campaigns and projects, ideally within the environmental NGO sector. This exciting role will involve managing and supporting our network of volunteers and local campaigners and working in partnership with other organisations and coalitions to make a real difference for London’s environment.

Initiative, enthusiasm coupled with an understanding of the planning system and related green space issues in London are all important for this post, which offers scope for future career development within an established charitable organisation.

As Volunteer and Community Support Officer you will support the London & South East Area Manager and Regional Managers with volunteer recruitment, documentation of training (such as DBS, references, Food Safety Level 2, First Aid), giving our volunteers a fantastic experience, guest outreach and giving extra support to our London & South East projects as and when required to aid development within the region.

As well as projects across London, our projects include projects across the South Coast and South East and this role will require regular visits across the area.

As Data Officer, you will support the Head of Finance and Operations across a range of important day-to-day tasks, with a particular focus on income reconciliation, accounting preparation, the maintenance of our Salesforce CRM database, as well as using the CRM to run reports.

You will take responsibility for keeping Save the Rhino's data clean, accurate, and audit-ready — carrying out regular imports, cleaning routines, and backups, and producing reports that help colleagues across fundraising and communications to do their jobs effectively.

Alongside this, you will contribute to key financial processes including Gift Aid claims, VAT returns, and monthly management accounts, developing a solid grounding in charity finance. For the right person, this combination of data and financial responsibilities offers an unusually broad grounding - ideal for someone early in their career who wants to develop skills across both disciplines rather than specialise immediately.

You will be methodical and detail-oriented, comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, and confident following established and documented procedures while flagging issues when you spot them. You will be a collaborative team player, supporting colleagues across the organisation and keen to learn and grow within a small, committed team.

This is a new role for Save the Rhino, and it is one that might appeal to individuals with different experience and backgrounds. We are open to this role being full time (35 hours per week) or part time (28 hours per week). The hours agreed will reflect the experience of the successful applicant — a more experienced candidate may be able to deliver the full scope of the role in fewer hours.

What does this role do?

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will:

• work closely with specialist teams in HR to improve people practices.

First stage interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for week commencing 29th June 2026, followed by second stage interviews the following week. This role is a fixed term contract until June 2027.

Could this be you?

Ideally qualified to CIPD level 7 (or with equivalent experience), you will have previously worked in a similar role and will have a proven track record of resolving key people issues through a thorough understanding of departmental activities, and tailoring advice to managers.  You will have significant experience in successfully resolving a wide variety of complex ER issues with the ability to build and maintain strong partner relationships, as well as also the ability to communicate complex and sensitive information to diverse audiences.

We’re recruiting an Events Coordinator to help run our city-centre climate action hub, called Imagine Leeds. Imagine Leeds is an innovative venue where people come together to plan and take action on climate, nature and social justice. It is part of the Climate Action Leeds Network, which was established in 2020.

This post is part of a three-year funding package of £493,000 to support community climate action in Leeds. The funding comes from the National Lottery, Leeds Community Foundation, Bunzl, the University of Leeds and North Star Coffee Roasters. Climate Action Leeds is run by a partnership made up of Voluntary Action Leeds and Leeds Love It Share It CIC.

We are looking for a hard working person who is experienced in organising and delivering events, so we can run an engaging series of events on topics relating to sustainability and social justice.

The successful candidate will help coordinate the day to day activities at Imagine Leeds. The venue provides space for events, meetings, co-working, exhibitions and networking. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective running of this well-loved venue, ensuring that it can continue to serve Leeds’ vibrant community of changemakers and facilitate engagement with thousands of people across the city.

Key outcomes for this role are:

• Bringing together a range of people and organisations to contribute to our mission imagining (and then creating) a more sustainable Leeds, that is zero carbon, nature friendly and socially just.

  • Supporting people using Imagine Leeds for their meetings and events, including tech setup, accessibility and inclusion, and opening and closing the venue.

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Imagine Leeds and its users’ activities in the venue.

  • Helping to take care of Imagine Leeds to ensure the venue has a professional look and feel, including tidying and cleaning, and offers a supportive environment for space users.

  • Sharing responsibility for the security of Imagine Leeds, including its equipment, stock and facilities.

  • Helping to improve the systems and processes used at Imagine Leeds, to ensure smooth operation and satisfaction of key stakeholders, regular users and visitors.

• General support and duties

  • Attending team meetings, Imagine Leeds Steering Group meetings and programme-wide meetings and events.

  • Providing information about Imagine Leeds for reports and funding bids.

• Your skills, experience and creativity will help the Trust to drive income and supporter acquisition through effective appeals, mailings, storytelling and campaigns, tailored donor journeys and supporter engagement.
• Working closely with colleagues in the Marketing & Communications team and across our fundraising functions, you will help to develop targeted communications and journeys for a wide range of supporters and be a champion of first-class supporter care across the organisation.

About you:

• You’ll be an excellent copywriter with a passion for inspiring and engaging new and existing supporters. We’re looking for somebody to champion a first-class supporter experience across the Trust, with strong technical writing skills, a results focus and the ability to bring our work to life through storytelling.

• Handling reactive repairs and fixing issues quickly and safely
• Completing planned maintenance tasks and routine inspections
• Carrying out health & safety and compliance checks
• Liaising with and overseeing specialist contractors when needed
• Keeping clear records of work carried out using basic IT systems

What We’re Looking For

• This role would suit someone from a trade background (e.g. joinery, plumbing, general building maintenance or similar) who enjoys practical, hands-on work:
• Proven experience in building maintenance or a relevant trade
• Able to turn your hand to a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks
• Good working knowledge of health and safety on site
• Practical problem-solver who can work independently and use initiative
• Organised and able to manage your own workload across multiple sites
• Friendly and approachable – comfortable working around staff and site users
• A reliable, “can-do” attitude with pride in your work

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel regularly across the North East (and occasionally Cumbria)
