About the role

As the Fundraising Events Manager, you will lead, shape and deliver an exciting portfolio of fundraising events, including virtual challenges, our Annual Golf Day, and Headway’s prestigious Annual Awards. You will also steward supporters through major third party events, such as the London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon, providing the best supporter experience.

The role will lead and develop the Fundraising Coordinator, providing effective line management to ensure high performance and professional growth.

Working closely with the wider Fundraising Team and the Communications Team, you will ensure every event is safe, engaging and memorable, and that every supporter receives an exceptional journey with Headway.

With an established events calendar and opportunities for innovation, this role offers the chance to make a tangible impact while helping to grow an events income stream currently worth approximately £360,000.

What you will do

• Develop a forward‑thinking events strategy that increases participation and income.
• Oversee and deliver Headway’s events programme, alongside the Fundraising Co-ordinator.

Job Purpose:

The Face to Face Fundraising Logistics Coordinator (FFLC) supports the delivery of MSF UK’s F2F Campaign by coordinating logistics for the Festivals and Events programme and providing dedicated logistical support to the separate Private Sites Campaign.

Reporting to the Face to Face Fundraising Festivals and Events Manager (FFFEM), the role coordinates logistical planning for Festivals and Events, including supplier liaison, bookings, equipment movements, stock control and compliance administration. The FFLC is also responsible for managing Private Sites bookings (excluding Scotland) and works closely with the Face to Face Private Sites Manager (FFPSM) to ensure the timely booking and smooth operational delivery of the Private Sites Campaign. 

The role supports liaison with festival and event organisers, venues and suppliers to ensure logistical requirements such as access, deliveries, equipment and scheduling are prepared in advance and delivered effectively. The FFLC coordinates the F2F stock across Festivals, Events and Private Sites and is accountable for the effective use of a delegated Private Sites and stock budgets, ensuring expenditure is monitored, recorded and aligned with agreed forecasts. 

Working with the FFFEM, FFPSM and the F2F Safeguarding Lead, the role ensures logistical, health & safety and safeguarding requirements are prepared ahead of activity, with all documentation completed and recorded. The FFLC also contributes to the development of the Festivals, Events and Private Sites diary by researching and progressing new opportunities, maintains regular communication to ensure issues are identified and addressed promptly.

Support Coordinator

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Haringey Team in London.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.

Position: S11352 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Home-based, Haringey. However, regular travel will be required as part of this role (will include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role

Reporting to Service Delivery Coach, key responsibilities will include:

• Organise and facilitate effective service communication for the benefit of stroke survivors and carers in understanding and achieving their goals.
• Ensure that timely, confidential and accurate records are kept on the CRM data base and all data is in line with the retention policy and GDPR compliant.

You will have experience in:

• Providing person centred support to empower vulnerable people or people with a disability or long-term health condition and their carers
• Nurturing emotional resilience needed to handle a variety of calls, potentially dealing with complex and challenging situations whilst working in your own home
• Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse audience including anyone experiencing communication difficulties via a combination of face-to-face visits or meetings, telephone calls, emails or letters, and digital methods (such as video calls)

This role requires regular travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The role

The Community Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Community is living the mission of L’Arche, by providing excellent and sustainable care and support services, support for  spirituality, and engaging with our neighbours and the wider community around us.

The Community Leader will:

• Lead the Community by responding to the needs, choices and context of our members while being faithful to the L'Arche UK Vision and Values, the L'Arche International Identity and Mission Statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan.
• Maintain and enhance high-quality, person-centred care, support, and housing for people with learning disabilities, both at home and in our day services in partnership with the Registered Manager, the Team in London, the National Leadership Team, individual circles of support, and external partners; 
• Ensure the Community's financial sustainability through robust financial planning and management, including setting budgets, controlling spending, maximising occupancy, negotiating care contracts, growing day services, and spotting fundraising opportunities;
• Foster a culture that maximises the voice and power for people with learning disabilities, building listening and collaboration between Community members with and without learning disabilities;
• Contribute to the national work programmes of L'Arche UK, as part of the National Council, collaborating with Community Leaders of other L'Arche Communities, to share skills, best practice, and resources

Key essential criteria

• Senior leadership experience in support to adults with learning disabilities (or transferable skills and experience in a closely related field);
• Experience in leading, managing, and developing an organisation or large teams to deliver results, maintain compliance and quality, and to respond to risks and opportunities;
• Good financial planning skills and experiences of successfully managing a substantial budget;
• Ability to think strategically and work collaboratively to develop and implement community plans;
• Experience of living or working alongside people with learning disabilities and/or autistic individuals;
• Passionate about person-centred support and the values and mission of L'Arche;

Manager (Chief Executive) – Chorlton Good Neighbours

About Chorlton Good Neighbours
Chorlton Good Neighbours is a small, well-loved neighbourhood charity with roots back to the late 1960s, working to reduce loneliness and support older people across Chorlton and adjacent neighbourhoods. Our work is local, practical and volunteer-led: befriending, home visits, transport, weekly activities, monthly teas, intergenerational groups and occasional day trips are all delivered with warmth and care.

Our volunteer base is extraordinary - around 100 volunteers support drivers, befrienders, activity leads, admin roles and trustees - and in 2024–25 we supported 474 people in total. Funding is a mixed model of public grants, local donations and modest earned income and the charity holds healthy funds to deliver our work.

This is a practical, hands-on, delivery-focused leadership role: you will lead a neighbourhood organisation through planned transition, preserving the community culture that makes CGN trusted, while introducing proportionate systems and succession approaches that secure its future. You will also spend substantial time supporting and supervising volunteers and facilitating activities alongside strategic duties.

As our next Manager (Chief Executive), you will:

• Strategy & Impact: Lead the development and delivery of a clear long-term strategy that sustains CGN’s neighbourhood impact and reduces social isolation amongst older people.

• Governance & Finance: Strengthen proportionate financial controls, grant monitoring and reporting while working closely with trustees including the Treasurer.

• Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day delivery of volunteer-led services and introduce accessible procedures and safeguarding arrangements.

• Income Generation: Support fundraising and bid activity to secure multi-year funding and diversify local income streams.

• Community & Partnerships: Act as CGN’s visible ambassador, maintaining and developing relationships with Manchester City Council, NHS partners and local organisations.

• Volunteer Development: Recruit, induct and support volunteers and facilitators, building a resilient volunteer pipeline and clear role pathways.

• Brand & Profile: Promote CGN’s offer across local channels to maintain footfall, attract new supporters and celebrate members’ stories.

• Premises & Risk: Work with trustees on lease and premises issues and maintain a robust risk register to protect continuity of service.

Who you are

• An experienced, hands-on manager with significant experience of running small, community-facing charities or local services and a hands-on approach to operational delivery.

• Demonstrable expertise in recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteers, with confidence in DBS/safeguarding practice and volunteer supervision.

• Highly organised with strong event/activity planning skills, practical problem solving and attention to detail.

• Financially literate - comfortable with budgeting, grant monitoring and basic financial controls and able to work with volunteer finance leads.

• An excellent communicator: approachable, diplomatic and skilled at building trust with older people, volunteers, trustees and statutory partners.

• Values driven, emotionally resilient and committed to inclusivity and dignity in later life.

• Desirable: experience of Age-Friendly programmes or befriending schemes and local credibility or knowledge of Manchester/South Manchester.

As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.

You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Alongside direct support, you will actively engage with health and social care professionals, neurology clinics and wider partners to strengthen local awareness of PSP & CBD and enhance referral pathways across the region.

This is a key role in maintaining continuity, quality and momentum within our Helpline service during a period of maternity leave and you will be reporting to the Helpline and Support Services Manager.

Hours of Work & Annual Leave

• 35 hours per week -  this may include working some unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.
• 28 days plus bank holidays. Pro-rated for part time role.

The main office is in Milton Keynes, and we have a hybrid working policy with most staff spending one day a week in the office and the remainder working from home. There is flexibility in the arrangements that need to be agreed upon with the line manager.

Key Responsibilities

• To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
• To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
• To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
• Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
• To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
• To carry out a maximum number of proactive calls to people affected by PSP & CBD within the region as directed by the Helpline Manager.
• Develop and maintain the existing database of key health and social care professionals and regional services.
• Attend outreach events to build the profile of PSPA services amongst health and social care professionals.
• Work with the Director of Policy and Influencing to identify ways in which services and care can be improved for families affected by PSP & CBD in the region.
• To signpost to PSPA Support Groups and services.
• Liaise with external services to signpost to local support.
• Take an active part in the delivery and planning of information and support events, which may include the possibility of overnight stays and weekends.
• Liaise with the fundraising team to signpost to fundraising activities.
• Liaise with the Volunteer Coordinator to maintain and build volunteering in the region.
• To attend and contribute constructively to team and other meetings as required.
• To ensure the implementation of policies, procedures and quality standards as defined by PSPA.
• Contribute to the development of literature and articles for PSPA Matters.
• To undertake any other tasks, by agreement as required, in support of the work of PSPA.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

• Experience in delivering helpline and/or information and support services
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to listen actively understanding different points of view
• Ability to keep accurate records
• Willingness to undertake training and continuing personal development
• Experience of and sensitivity to communicating with audiences from a range of backgrounds
• Strong IT skills, with experience in MS Office products and customer relationship management software
• Flexible and reliable attitude and the ability to self-organise and to work without direct supervision
• Good communication skills, both oral and written and excellent telephone manner
• Ability to manage difficulty questions, emotions and situations in a calm and confident way.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of PSP & CBD or other neurodegenerative diseases and/or experience of working in the NHS
• An understanding of Safeguarding and an ability to follow relevant policies and procedures
• Knowledge of healthcare or social care systems.
