About the role
You will be the local leader for Shelter’s Community Services, leading the team in implementing Shelter’s strategy locally, delivering the local response to the housing emergency and empowering the local community in Dorset to fight for home.
You will take the lead on the delivery of services and contracts to provide consistently high levels of performance, planning and delivering service development strategies, including seeking business development opportunities that align with our strategic aims, both across Community Services and in partnership with the Lead Solicitor.
Also, you will promote and direct systems change activity, so we better understand what is influencing people’s experience of homelessness and bad housing and have effective plans to influence change.
You will act as an ambassador for Shelter in the local area, representing the organisation through media, networks and local stakeholder engagement.
Alongside this, you will plan and implement resourcing plans for your Hub, including staffing, volunteers and engaging people with lived experience and will manage the Hub Leadership team. Ensuring there are multiple and ongoing opportunities for people with lived experience of homelessness and bad housing to be part of Hub development, activities and learning is a key element of this role, as well as upholding and promoting a learning culture with the Hub.
About you
You will have a proven working knowledge of homelessness, housing and related issues affecting local communities. You have sound experience of managing and delivering contracts, partnerships and services along with experience of being involved in implementing and reviewing change management, whilst demonstrating excellent budgeting and financial reporting skills.
The ability to proactively develop and maintain key relationships and having impressive analytical skills to use insight and evidence to present data, manage performance and to identify and implement systems change are vital to this role, as are impressive interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

To develop and grow the NCJAA network and develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.
Job summary
The coordinator is responsible for overseeing all work and development of the NCJAA and sits within Clinks’ National Influencing & Networks directorate . The coordinator will work with a range of different stakeholders, including the NCJAA Advisory Group and the wider membership, to improve policy and practice in relation to arts-based work with people in prison, on probation and in the community. This includes maintaining and strengthening the NCJAA as the leading national network for arts organisations and individuals that work in the criminal justice system.

1. Duties and key responsibilities
Strategy and planning
· Work closely with Clinks colleagues and the NCJAA network to develop and deliver the NCJAA annual work plan which include a range of activities that will raise the profile and promote the work of the arts sector in the CJS, including events, publications, training, mentoring, research and networking opportunities
· Work closely with Clinks colleagues, the NCJAA advisory group, chair and wider network to help inform and shape the future direction of the NCJAA and its strategic goals, paying particular attention to its role, sustainability and emerging opportunities
· Coordinate the quarterly arts forum in collaboration with the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) arts seat holder and government representatives
NCJAA project management & delivery
· Provide leadership for the NCJAA in the arts and CJS sectors
· Deliver the projects set out in the NCJAA’s annual workplan
· Coordinate the functioning of the advisory group of the NCJAA, including its quarterly meetings, minutes and election
· Manage work as required by NCJAA’s role as an Arts Council England Sector Support Organisation, including how we effectively capture and measure the NCJAA’s impact as the leading national arts and criminal justice network
· Provide regular and relevant reporting information as necessary to ensure all NCJAA projects and activity are working to the agreed timetable, budget and are achieving agreed outputs and outcomes, reporting any exceptions promptly to the Director of Support and Development

Stakeholder and external relations
· Work closely with HM Prison and Probation Service and other government departments and agencies to promote communication and partnership between Government and the arts in the criminal justice sector e.g. working with and supported by Clinks’ policy team, participate in meetings of the Reducing Re-offending Arts Forum convened jointly by Clinks and HM Prison and Probation Service
· Work within Clinks’ National Influencing & Networks directorate to ensure the experience and knowledge of arts and cultural organisations working in criminal justice is reflected in Clinks representation and influencing work with national government
· Assist colleagues working in the arts sector to interpret the emerging criminal justice environment and develop sustainable opportunities

Income generation
· Work with Clinks colleagues responsible for income to identify funding sources, submit funding applications and monitoring reports when required, both for specific NCJAA projects and for the future funding of the work as a whole to ensure the sustainability and future development of the NCJAA
Budget
· Work with Clinks colleagues responsible for finance to maintain financial oversight of the overall NCJAA budget and all relevant project budgets to support the NCJAA work to progress effectively

The Role:
This role is a part-time permanent contract designed to provide admin and practical support around donor-facing events and comms. It has been created to support reaching ambitious targets in our 20th anniversary year and beyond, contributing to the P&P team's goals of driving £2 million in income growth across the business plan to 2028.

What do we want?
We are looking for a new sessional Youth Practitioner to work alongside the Youth Programme team to develop and deliver our Nike-funded schools programme across East London.
You need to be passionate about getting young people moving, in particular girls and young women, and believe in the power of excellent youth work. You'll have a good understanding of the barriers and challenges faced by young people living in East London.
What you’ll be working on:
Supporting our movement programmes
You’ll deliver fun and engaging sessions in schools to young people aged 11-18, alongside teachers and other coaches.
You’ll work with the Youth Programme Lead and other Youth Practitioners to design movement programmes, with a focus on running and movement whilst also bringing other sports, games and wellness activities.
You’ll support the development of our programmes targeted at 8-18 year olds outside of schools.
You’ll undertake administration tasks such as planning sessions, ensuring evaluation forms are completed and uploading data to our database.
You’ll complete any other business required by management and pitch in to help with other tasks at busy times during the year.
Working with young people and their families
You’ll develop and maintain relationships with young people and parents.
You’ll support young people's attendance at approximately 5 races per year (weekends)
You’ll work with the Youth Programme Team to plan and deliver activities over half-term and summer holidays.
You’ll ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld for all young people.

About the Team
The High Value Partnerships department is crucial to achieving Shelter’s charitable, raising over £20 million a year through relationship-based fundraising with businesses, high-net-worth individuals, legacy pledgers, trusts.
This role will sit in a newly formed sub-team of Corporate Partnerships. The Corporate team has been successful in developing high value, long term and sector leading partnerships with companies such as IKEA, B&Q, HSBC UK and M&S.
About Breaking the Cycle
Breaking the Cycle is an access to banking programme for people with no fixed address. Access to banking is a key tool in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Shelter works with the financial services sector, to help them to better serve the needs of vulnerable customers and access basic banking products.
Breaking the Cycle is delivered with a network of charity partners and local organisations who serve vulnerable individuals, including those who experience rough sleeping, living in temporary accommodation, seeking asylum and surviving domestic abuse, to access a bank account. Through the network we ensure more people access the help they need to become financially included.
Breaking the Cycle is currently delivered in partnership with HSBC UK. In October 2025, HM Treasury announced an ambitious new Financial Inclusion strategy and identified Breaking the Cycle as a key programme to achieve their objectives. This will result in a significant expansion of Breaking the Cycle to an additional 5 major high street banks on a 12-month pilot period.
About the role
Reporting to the Senior Partnership Manager (Breaking the Cycle), this role will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Breaking the Cycle programme. The Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day management of two financial institutions, management of existing charity partners and onboarding new charity partners, as well as monitoring due diligence and safeguarding procedures. This role is fundamental to ensuring the programme runs smoothly.

You may have experience related to, or a background in, partnership/account management that will help you to deliver partnerships and build strong, productive working relationships. Experience in data management would also be valuable.

We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide floating support across our housing services. You will play a key role in ensuring our properties remain safe, secure, and welcoming throughout the night.
Your primary responsibility will be to undertake mobile duties across our Brighton, Hove and Worthing sites. You will start and finish each shift in Brighton, where the organisation’s works vehicle is based. As part of the role, you will provide break cover for static night staff and may be required, on occasion, to cover a static shift at one of our 24‑hour staffed properties.
During each shift, you will visit all properties and help maintain a safe, secure and supportive environment. This includes demonstrating strong communication skills, maintaining accurate records, carrying out building checks, monitoring CCTV, reporting and responding to safeguarding concerns, and ensuring all health and safety requirements are met in line with organisational policies and procedures.
The role also involves working proactively to minimise the impact of antisocial behaviour on residents and neighbouring communities. This may include one‑to‑one interventions with young people, including those experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring medical assistance.
This role is primarily lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision making and in following procedures. As part of your induction programme, you will have the opportunity to get to know the different teams and services, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.
This is a dynamic and varied role for someone who is organised, self-motivated and is happy to lone work for most of their shift.
Ideally, you will have experience working with young people, those considered vulnerable, or individuals with multiple and complex needs, and be able to demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young people. You will have an understanding of the needs of single homeless clients aged 16–25, along with the ability to engage, motivate, and inspire others, and a strong commitment to making a positive difference to people’s lives.
You will have clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT and keyboard skills, and the ability to work independently and self-motivate. You will be an effective communicator, able to deliver robust and clear handovers and build strong working relationships with colleagues. In addition, you will have the ability to deescalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour in a calm and appropriate manner.
