This 6 month contract will cover a permanent recruitment period, working hybrid based, with 3 days per week in Abingdon and the rest of the week working remotely.

Working closely with the CEO to ensure the charity’s ambitions, as described in the Strategy to 2030 and the 2026–27 Plan on a Page are delivered, the role holder will proactively lead integrated fundraising, marketing, and communications work. The role is pivotal in aligning planning and tactical decisions to build a sustainable income engine, strengthening the charity’s profile, performance, and impact at scale.

Role Description

1. Income strategy and delivery

Lead the development and delivery of a clear, evidence-based income growth strategy, diversifying and growing income streams to deliver the charity’s agreed income ambitions and reduce reliance on any single source.

2. Integrated fundraising, marketing, and communications

Hold full accountability for all fundraising, marketing and communications activity, ensuring strategy, brand, propositions, campaigns, and channels are integrated, coherent and focused on measurable impact.

3. Supporter growth and engagement

Grow and deepen relationships with supporters, including donors, volunteers, ambassadors and advocates, increasing participation, loyalty, and lifetime value in line with our strategic ambitions.

4. Insight, data, and performance discipline

Use insight, data, and performance management to inform decision-making, strengthen propositions, improve return on investment, and give the CEO and Board a clear grip on income and engagement performance.

5. Leadership, culture, and capability

Lead and line-manage all fundraising, marketing and communications staff, setting clear priorities, expectations and accountability, and building a confident, high-performing culture aligned with the organisation’s values and Principles.

6. Organisational leadership and profile-raising

Act as the organisation’s most senior income and external-engagement leader, working closely with the CEO and trustees to raise the charity’s profile, influence, and credibility, contributing actively to collective leadership and strategic delivery.

Experience

Substantial senior-level experience across most areas of income generation, including at least two from:

• voluntary income (e.g. trusts & foundations, legacies, individuals, community)
• marketing and communications
• supporter or audience growth and engagement
• digital fundraising or campaigns
• brand, proposition, or programme development

Proven experience of successfully leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing people, including line management and leadership through influence/matrix working to deliver shared outcomes.

Experience demonstrating a strong understanding of integrated income and engagement models, with proficiency in leading fundraising, marketing, and communications as a joined-up system rather than discrete functions.

A proven record of developing and implementing income or growth strategy aligned to organisational purpose, values and long-term direction, including delivering measurable results or step-change improvement.

We are looking for a part time Gift Aid Lead - 21 hours per week for an incredible social welfare charity.

You will be contracted to the Borough hub with a minimum expectation of one day per week working in person.

The Charity:
A long standing National charity, dedicated to providing life long support from advice services to rehabilitation. The role

• This is a specialist role at the centre of how they manage and maximise Gift Aid across the organisation.
• You'll take ownership of monthly claims covering over £100m of fundraised income, ensuring everything is accurate, fully compliant with HMRC requirements, and supported by a clear and robust audit trail.
• Working across multiple directorates, you'll help embed consistent, high-quality processes so Gift Aid is properly considered, correctly applied, and efficiently delivered at every stage.
• A key part of the role is interrogating and improving the quality of Gift Aid data identifying gaps, increasing declaration coverage, reducing errors, and ensuring income is correctly assessed before claims are made.
• You'll also act as the main point of contact for HMRC queries and audits.
• Alongside the technical side, you'll work closely with teams across fundraising, income processing, data and finance to make sure Gift Aid is fully understood and embedded in day-to-day activity.
• This includes reviewing processes, strengthening controls, supporting supplier compliance and developing clear guidance and training where needed.
• You'll also act as the organisation's authority for Gift Aid sign-off on new campaigns and income streams, helping ensure everything is set up correctly from the start and aligned with HMRC rules and internal governance.

The candidate
You'll bring strong technical knowledge of Gift Aid and HMRC regulation, alongside confidence working with complex data, CRM systems and financial reconciliations.
Accuracy, structure and calm attention to detail are essential.

Salary: Grade B: £25,877.80 per annum. The band goes up to £26,257.79 per annum, however, this is dependent on annual performance reviews. Plus £650 Anti-Social Hours Allowance

Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week, Covering Monday to Sunday. Shift working between 8am and 8pm, flexibility with aim to work hours over 4 days

Job Purpose:

To support the delivery of Oasis Community Housing’s Sunderland Emergency Accommodation Project. The service has six self-contained flats and operates 24-hour staffed supported housing for Adult Males who are experiencing homelessness. The project prides itself on being a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). Our Volunteer Coordinators recruit and support our amazing volunteers in the local area, promote the benefits of volunteering and raise the awareness of our centre and Blue Cross.   

Our fostering service is an integral part of the rehoming process, supporting the delivery of our strategy by increasing the service so that Blue Cross can help more pets. 

As a Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for recruiting and supporting a diverse team of volunteers. Working closely with the Centre Manager and Assistant Managers, you will ensure that our volunteers are fully integrated into the team, ensuring that the team welcome and collaborate with these wonderful people.   

In addition to this, you will be building relationships with local communities and partners, promoting the benefits of volunteering to provide more targeted support. 

This role is part time over a 2 week rota:

About the role

We’re looking for a Head of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) with experience of designing and embedding organisational DEIB strategies and leading culture change at a senior level to join our CEO Office.

This is a pivotal leadership role at a critical moment in our DEIB journey. You will lead the development of our next DEIB strategy, building on our ‘Brave, Not Perfect’ commitments and driving forward meaningful, measurable change across the organisation. Our client is a national children's health and disability charity providing specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children living with complex, lifelong conditions. Across the UK, more than 250 nurses support over 50,000 children and their families, helping them navigate treatment, coordinate care and access the support they need.
