The Research Officer is key to the ongoing success of this work. You will be hands on from day one supporting group facilitators, conducting background research on key issues and industries, collating and analysing Insider insights, and supporting Partnership Leads to build our network and ensure the Insider voice is heard where it is needed the most.
This is not a conventional campaigning, research or policy role. It combines outcome-focused research with dynamic operational support. You will need to be a clear communicator, highly organised, and skilled at prioritising relevant areas of focus. It’s an exciting time to join the team as we have recently expanded in response to sustained year-on-year growth and our ambitious five-year organisational strategy. As a Regional Fundraiser you will lead on developing and managing relationships with a great network of supporters across the Wales and West Midlands region — including individuals, community groups, and corporate organisations.
You will play a key role in delivering our community fundraising strategy by identifying new opportunities, nurturing long-term relationships, and inspiring people to take action and raise vital funds. As a Regional Fundraiser, you will proactively build a strong pipeline of supporters, delivering tailored stewardship journeys that deepen engagement and increase lifetime value. Whilst the post is homebased, the ideal candidate will be based in the Wales and West Midlands region, as there is regular travel within this area and to our London head office. You may have multiple community engagements in one area on the same day, and some locations can be remote with limited public transport options, particularly in Wales.
Wales is a bilingual country, with both Welsh and English used routinely. Whilst the ability to speak and write in Welsh is not an essential requirement for the role, an understanding of the importance of Welsh language and culture is desirable.

You will have an understanding of community fundraising across both relationship management and new business development with proven success of building and sustaining stakeholder relationships.

There are over 5,000 members of the Haemophilia Society, including people and families living with bleeding disorders, as well as healthcare professionals. The charity’s supporters help fundraise the costs that are vitally needed to be able to offer membership – and services such as events and printed publications – entirely free to all members.

About the role
The Finance Manager will ensure the smooth, accurate, and compliant day-to-day financial operations of THS. You will oversee transactional processing, payroll, local group accounting, management of our partner charity accounts, creating monthly management reports and year-end audit preparation.

Knowledge & Skill Requirements
· Accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CIPFA, AAT).
