Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will lead the charity legacy and in-memory fundraising, ensuring gifts in wills continue to fund our life saving service for generations to come.

This is a strategic and hands on role, offering the freedom to shape and develop a high-performing legacy programme while delivering exceptional supporter care.

As a Legacy Giving Manager you will:

• Delivering and evolving a legacy giving strategy to grow future income
• Managing the administration of legacy gifts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Stewarding legacy pledgers and in-memory supporters with empathy and professionalism
• Growing and promoting our Free Wills programme, working with local solicitors and partners
• Developing engaging campaigns and materials that reflect our mission and local impact
• Monitoring performance, trends and risks across legacy income
• Keeping up to date with sector developments and changes to probate or fundraising practice
• Working collaboratively with fundraising, marketing, supporter care teams and volunteers

To be successful, you must have experience:

•  Proven experience in legacy and/or in-memory fundraising

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Manage and grow a personal portfolio of major donors through full-cycle relationship management, including regular face-to-face meetings with donors and prospects
• Identify, cultivate and steward prospects to secure five-figure gifts and long-term support
• Convert event-based and transactional supporters into deeper, strategic donor relationships
• Develop and deliver tailored stewardship plans, reports and donor communications

Job Description 

Communications 

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues 

• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach. 

• Manage the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc. 

• Use a range of platforms to distribute print and electronic content including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, leaflets, posters reports, e-newsletters, and Kineara’s website 

• Work closely with IT and business managers to ensure smooth running of internal communications 

Fundraising 

• Develop positive relationships with a range of stakeholders providing funding to charities, including in the third sector, public sector, and the business sector, to raise awareness and promote our work 

• Write grant and tender applications, and manage and coordinate work of external consultants supporting grant writing process where applicable 

• Manage and administer online fundraising platforms, and develop accessible, persuasive campaigns for public donations.

Impact 

• Work closely with Operations Manager and practitioners to embed outcomes, create frameworks for monitoring and evaluate Kineara’s projects; and produce yearly evaluations and Impact Report of Kineara’s services

This role is perfect for an experienced and passionate fundraiser specialising in individual giving and looking to be part of an ambitious organisation focused on improving animal welfare globally.

You will be working as part of the Marketing Team at animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), helping to raise funds to support the charities work, which in turn will mean more animals receive life-saving veterinary care.

As Individual Giving Manager, you will report to the Head of Marketing and take the lead on growing individual giving income. You will focus on retention to increase every supporter’s tenure and lifetime value while ensuring the right audiences are targeted to broaden support.

This is a new role and offers a great opportunity for the right candidate. There is some flexibility for hybrid working, but the role will require time at the Head Office in Cranborne, Dorset.

About Us

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Since the project began, over seven million dogs have been vaccinated against rabies and over 13 million children have been educated in rabies prevention, protecting the lives of people and animals.

Last year, WVS helped an animal every 14 seconds. We trained over 4,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,700 parcels of veterinary supplies to 261 charities in 71 countries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Working with the wider Marketing team, devise, plan and lead the execution of fundraising appeals to meet agreed targets, growing voluntary income from both cold and warm audiences.
• Grow one-off and regular giving income, identifying opportunities for acquisition and long-term donor development.
• Build on existing programmes to create outstanding donor care programmes to increase long-term support.
• Manage the Fundraising and Admin Assistant, who will support you in developing campaigns and communicating with supporters.
• Attend networking and other events to raise both charity’s profiles and meet agreed targets.
• Promote compliance with GDPR, fundraising regulations, and best practice in supporter care.
• Some evening and weekend working, to include travel, will likely be required.

Summary of the role: 

The Head of Income Generation & Marketing is a key member of Muslim Aid’s Leadership Team, responsible for executing the organisation’s fundraising and marketing strategy and overseeing all marketing and communications activities across the organisation. The post holder will lead the delivery of income generation plans, providing strategic direction and hands-on operational support to their direct reports to maximise income across all sub-department income streams. They will be accountable for growing and sustaining revenue from a diverse portfolio of supporters across the UK, ensuring income targets are met or exceeded.

The role includes mentoring and leading Management, supporting them to implement effective fundraising activity, achieve ambitious income and renewal targets year on year, and deliver high-quality stewardship experiences for supporters.

About the Role:

1. Design and deliver MA’s cross organisational fundraising and marketing strategy with a focus on sustainable and reliable unrestricted income generation. This will include key activities, areas of required investment, KPIs and milestones as well as the projected growth of fundraising income
2. Increase and diversify existing and new revenue streams specifically digital, CSR and private philanthropy.
3. Drive delivery against income targets by setting clear, ambitious, and achievable operational targets for each income stream, ensuring teams are supported to meet objectives aligned with Muslim Aid’s vision, mission, and strategic goals.
4. Provide effective marketing leadership for the organisation in collaboration with key stakeholders and drive forward transformational integrated marketing activities and campaigns.

• Oversee the management and administration of Gift Aid, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, to maximise MSF UK’s income
• Manage Gift Aid income across multiple income streams ensuring that MSF UK remains compliant with HMRC regulations
• Lead on delivering regular Gift Aid communications to supporters following HRMC best practice; identifying opportunities and developing strategies to increase Gift Aid income.

Salary:  £46,784.49 - £57,181.04 per annum

Salary is offered in line with our pay framework and typically starts at the entry point of the band. Salary increases are considered annually and are subject to our appraisal and performance review process.

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Gift Aid Manager is to oversee the management and administration of Gift Aid, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, to maximise MSF UK’s income. This includes responsibility for managing the Gift Aid and tax reclaim processes across multiple income streams, ensuring claims are submitted in a timely manner, and that MSF UK remains compliant with HMRC regulations. This role requires a specialist understanding of Gift Aid regulations.

They also act as the main point of contact with HMRC on complex matters relating to Gift Aid and reclaiming tax, providing solutions or advice on more complicated Gift Aid queries to the wider Fundraising team. The Gift Aid Manager will lead on planning and delivering regular Gift Aid communications to supporters.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in managing end to end Gift Aid claims and processes within the charity sector.
• Strong working knowledge of HMRC Gift Aid regulations, practices and procedures and other relevant HMRC guidelines.
• Knowledge and understanding of Gift Aid compliance in charity environments.
• Experience of working with 3rd parties on Gift Aid claims and processes.
• Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level including the ability to produce and manipulate pivot tables.
• Experience of working with Power BI KPI dashboards.
• Working knowledge of a fundraising database or CRM system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics CRM or similar CRM) and managing large datasets.
• Proven experience of monitoring and checking processes and developing process improvement and project management experience.
• Experience in providing Gift Aid training and support to staff or volunteers.
• Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.
• An excellent level of numeracy, combined with accuracy, attention to detail and an ability to follow defined processes is a must
• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record in managing a busy workload to deadlines whilst maintaining a systematic and organised approach
• A proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in line with established schedules ensuring accuracy in the information provided
• An excellent communicator with training experience and the ability to deliver complex information to a variety of internal stakeholders in an accessible and relevant way.
• Ability to build excellent working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
• Self-motivated, flexible and able to work without close supervision within a team environment

About the role 

We are looking for a Data Selection Analyst to join our Customer Experience Data Team. As a Selections Analyst, you’ll play a key role in delivering accurate data selections to support fundraising and marketing communications. Through analysis you will help shape and enhance fundraising efforts, informing targeting and testing, ultimately influencing how we engage with and support our community of donors, volunteers and supporters. 

In this role, you will work with the product teams to inform targeting in order ensure their communications reach the right audience and achieve the most effective results for Guide Dogs. You will analyse campaign performance and provide insightful recommendations to fundraising managers, helping them make informed decisions to maximise income opportunities. Your ability to present clear and actionable data analysis will be essential in driving the success of fundraising campaigns and contributing to the organisation's growth.

Skills we are looking for

Significant knowledge and experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel and Power BI would be key to succeed in this position. Knowledge or working experience on statistical packages, preferably Apteco FastStats or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
