We are looking for a People Services Officer to join our small and busy People and Organisation Development team to provide an effective HR administrative support service to the organisation with a particular focus on recruitment, onboarding, dealing with enquiries, supporting learning and development activities and keeping accurate records. 
 
The role involves working closely with the People and Payroll Manager and contributes to the wider People and Organisation Development team in supporting the delivery of its services across the organisation.
 
To be the right person for this role, you will need to have:

• Previous experience in HR administration, particularly supporting recruitment and onboarding, and confidence using a recruitment and/or HR information system
• Excellent IT skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Complete the Debt Advisor classroom training course

• Create a client budget from information gathered by local CAP staff, reviewing documentation, identifying further queries and applying guidance to expenditure

• To advise clients on their best options to deal with their financial difficulties. This includes formulating a strategy to become debt free, as well as broader advice relevant to their financial situation 

• Pass Stage 2 sign off for advice creation 

• Identify potential enforcement action against clients, negotiating with creditors to establish sustainable plans for repaying debts (or holding further enforcement action)

The role

As Manager of Philanthropic Giving, you will lead myaware’s trusts, foundations and high-value philanthropy fundraising, driving sustainable income growth through a strong and well-managed funding pipeline. You will shape and deliver strategies to secure both restricted and unrestricted income, manage the full bid lifecycle, and build long-term relationships with trusts, statutory funders and high-net-worth individuals.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership and trustees, you will develop compelling funding propositions, steward funders through excellent reporting and engagement, and represent myaware at meetings, events and networking opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records through our CRM system, track performance against targets, and contribute to income planning and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor and Trusts & Foundations fundraising. You will have experience securing significant gifts, building and stewarding long-term funder relationships, and writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

You will be comfortable working independently, using CRM systems, and engaging senior stakeholders, including trustees and high-level donors. Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

About the role:

You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. Previous experience is not required as you will receive robust training prior to working directly with clients. You will also receive ongoing support to ensure that you can provide victims with quick responses to meet their needs and help them cope and recover.

These roles are based in our Victim Care Unit in Ashford. You will be working shifts Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm or 12pm and 8pm. Shifts are designated on a rota basis and scheduled well in advance so you can plan ahead. You will be working within a supportive team that is part of a large independent charity which offers the opportunity to develop skills to enhance your ongoing personal development.

We are helping a university students' union find a new Finance and Resource Director as they embark on a period of restructure in the Senior Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic finance leader to join a complex, values-driven organisation in Hull. Position Overview

As the Finance and Resource Director, you will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. You will provide strategic leadership across Finance, Facilities, and Health and Safety. Main purpose of the role

Following a period of financial transformation, we are seeking a highly experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and timely financial information to both the Finance Team and the wider Community. 
 
The Bookkeeper will:

• Prepare weekly bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items prior to month-end close;
• Process and maintain petty cash reconciliations, credit card transactions, cheques, and paying-in slips, ensuring all receipts are accurately recorded in the accounting system;
• Process weekly purchase ledger invoices and payment run;
• Process donations, grants, legacies and other income, allocating incoming payments to invoices;

• Proven experience in a bookkeeping role;

STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention work disrupts the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

The Fundraising Officer sits within our Development & Communications Team and will support on growing and delivering our fundraising and partnership pipeline. The Fundraising Officer will lead on donor administration, support the preparation of applications to trusts and foundations, contribute to individual giving initiatives, and help build philanthropic and corporate partnerships.

This is a varied role for someone who is a strong writer, both persuasive and strategic, and who is motivated to connect STOP THE TRAFFIK’s mission with funders and partners who share our vision and act as long-term investors in prevention.

This role will be responsible for:

Funding Development & Applications

· Research potential funding opportunities to develop a consistent pipeline of relevant trusts and foundations, and write/submit applications for these opportunities.

· Create supplementary documentation needed for applications including budgets, MEL frameworks, timeline documents and theory of change frameworks.

Relationship Management

· Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing funders, partners, and individual donors through regular communication and stewardship.

Individual Giving & Activity Fundraisers
