About the team​

The Policy team is a small, collaborative and collegiate team looking to expand. We have a unique set-up, sitting separately to but working closely alongside the Communications team as part of the wider Public Affairs team. We influence key decision makers through direct engagement with senior officials, commissioning and sharing research and insight and supporting coalitions which include our portfolio charities to take their voice to decision makers to secure policy and funding commitments.

The team also works across the organisation, presenting insight to inform our investment decisions and making a compelling case to generate new financial commitments for our work.

About this role

The Research and Evidence Officer is a new and exciting role at Impetus, an organisation at the forefront of youth policy. Impetus is evidence led and impact focused and we take this approach to our policy and public affairs activity. 

The successful candidate will provide the robust data and insights needed to help us build a better understanding of young people’s experiences across education and employment, support colleagues by providing accurate data, analysis and insight that informs policy development and communication designed to improve their outcomes, and support the team to create compelling cases for change tailored to a range of audiences. They will be line managed by the Head of Education Policy but work across both employment and education policy domains. 

We are a busy team doing interesting and exciting work. Day-to-day you might be extracting insights from government published data, providing evidence for a policy briefing, drafting a report for a policy audience, or working with colleagues from across the team to communicate research findings in impactful ways, following agreed templates, processes and quality standards, and seeking clarification where needed.

We are looking for someone with a commitment to supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to get the support they need for a fulfilling life, whatever that means to them. You will have good knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, have the skills required to analyse a range of data sets, including confidence applying quantitative research methods to conduct primary and secondary analysis of large and complex datasets, and the ability to present research findings clearly.

Key responsibilities
• Monitor monthly data releases and new research published across our areas of interest and record relevant information accurately following agreed templates and systems
• Use quantitative and qualitative research skills to support and contribute to the delivery of a range of research projects and reviews, conduct data analysis, and generate robust evidence across relevant policy areas and portfolio partner activity
• Translate complex data accurately into accessible reports, briefings, summaries, papers, presentations, and other content ensuring accuracy, clarity and adherence to organisational templates and approval processes
• Use research findings to provide accurate evidence and summaries that support colleagues in developing policy positions, evaluating proposals, and proposing evidence-based solutions
• Prepare accurate briefing materials and background notes to support senior colleagues on relevant policy areas ahead of meetings and events (speaking events, roundtables, and senior-level stakeholder meetings)
• Collaborate with the Communications team to develop content for external priority audiences to maintain and grow the profile of policy work, by preparing draft summaries, data points and visuals in line with agreed templates and style guides
• Support the policy team in gathering, organising, summarising and using evidence from portfolio partners
• Support internal team processes by monitoring an allocated set of information sources, providing content for internal and external newsletters, ensuring information management systems are kept up to date and accurate (e.g. briefing packs, team calendar)

• A strong commitment to improving outcomes for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, and an understanding of the barriers they face across education and employment

• Ability to support the development of research tools including surveys, interview guides, and tailored data collection plans
• Experience of analysing data and evidence (quantitative and qualitative), including working with large or complex datasets ensuring accuracy and following agreed guidance
• Experience using statistical or data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, R, Stata, SPSS, or similar)

Architects play a crucial role in our society. They design the buildings and environments where we live and work. The Architects Registration Board (ARB) is the professional regulator of architects. We maintain a Register to protect the public, so that anyone using an architect’s services, or a building designed by an architect, can be reassured that the design has been developed by an appropriate expert. 

The successful applicant will be a key member of the Qualifications Team, helping to deliver a rigorous cycle of quality assurance for educational standards and the prescription (recognition) of qualifications required to become an architect in the UK.This includes processing applications for a prescription from a variety of institutions, drafting comprehensive advisory notes, seeking clarifications from schools and presenting decision-critical papers to the Board for approval. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the prescription process and our workflow systems.

Islamic Relief UK (IRUK) is recruiting for the position of Senior Graphic Designer to be based from its Waterloo Office, London. The organisation is currently operating to a hybrid working model.

As a key member of the Creative Content team, the Senior Graphic Designer will lead on and produce all aspects of creative design and branded materials. Responsible for ensuring heightened creativity and brand consistency, the Graphic Designer will act as a brand guardian, leading creativity across the organisation to elevate IR’s brand.

The Graphic Designer will lead on creating engaging designs for a variety of briefs from ideation through to concepts development, design and final creative products for Islamic Reliefs fundraising, marketing, advocacy, UK programmes campaigns and initiatives. 

They are responsible for producing a diverse range of high-quality, innovative, and engaging digital and print materials that showcase IR’s progressive humanitarian work both nationally and internationally.

The role involves creating and developing visual assets across multiple channels, including direct mail packs, posters, leaflets, project booklets, fundraising materials and emergency appeal communications, social media graphics, digital ads, event marketing materials, advocacy campaign assets, website visuals, and published reports. The post holder will also occasionally support video production for campaigns.

Title: Group Programme and Events Lead

Reports to:  Associate Director of Business and Operations  

Based: Remotely – however must travel as and when required to meetings and events.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm; Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. (Hours may vary on event days or when event planning calls are scheduled outside of standard working hours)

Job Purpose: To organise the planning and implementation of Programmes & Events and maintain a high level of accuracy and detail throughout.

The role: Arrhythmia Alliance Group is recruiting a Group Programme and Events Lead on a full-time, permanent, remote basis. Your skills will be essential in strengthening the charities profile through programmes and event planning and coordination.

You will support the organisation with its’ programme and events portfolio by developing healthy, professional, relationships at all levels. You will also showcase initiatives taken and their key impact in making a real difference in people's lives.

Main responsibilities:

- Plan, coordinate, attend and execute charity programmes and events.

- Research and oversee all event logistics, including agendas, venue selection, room allocation, contract negotiations, transportation, accommodation and catering arrangements.

Operations Lead

Salary: £32-£36k/year, depending on circumstances (5-day week equivalent is £40-45k/year)

Overview

High energy costs are a nightmare for millions of UK households, while huge profits are made at our expense. Poor housing and heating systems are a key part of the problem, along with dependence on polluting, climate-changing fossil fuels. FPA is a campaigning organisation that sets out to attack the root causes of fuel poverty along with the specific injustices facing people and communities. We want to see the UK’s energy system decarbonised as rapidly as possible, with a just transition for communities and workers that includes affordability. 

Working closely with pensioners groups, trades unions, disabled campaigners, tenants’ organisations and others on the frontline of fuel poverty, we’re using protest and direct action to fight for real, sustainable solutions to the cold homes crisis. We are looking for a committed operations person and fundraiser who shares our passion and values, to oversee systems and processes which support our strategy and core team to do their best work.

About the role

Fuel Poverty Action (FPA) was started in 2011 by climate activists who wanted to ensure that the green energy transition doesn’t happen at the expense of those with less social and economic power. Rather, they saw the break with fossil fuels as an opportunity to end the scourge of fuel poverty in the UK - a chance to rethink priorities and design inequality out of the energy system.

We are seeking a new, well-organised Operations Lead to slot into this structure, to take care of administrative and operational functions and support the Directors with fundraising: bids, budgets and reports, managing relationships with funders and cultivating a donor pipeline.

This role would suit someone familiar with the operational and HR elements of running a company or organisation, somebody with management experience who is caring and collaborative and comfortable juggling a varied workload.

Critically, we are seeking someone who shares our political vision, as reflected in the Energy For All manifesto (link in attachment). 

Key responsibilities

• Administration: Managing the email inbox; maintaining up to date contacts and mailing lists; developing and refining systems, processes and platforms to support internal and campaign activities.
• Information management: Ensuring high standards of record keeping, data protection and secure information storage across the organisation, enabling staff and members to share and access resources and know-how. 
• Fundraising: Creating and implementing a three-year fundraising plan; managing existing donor relationships and completing reports; working with directors/fundraising volunteers on grant bids and budgets.
• Line management: Providing light touch management for at least one colleague.
• HR functions: Overseeing recruitment and onboarding of new staff and freelancers, overseeing HR policies and contracts, identifying training needs and opportunities.
• Strategic thinking: Inputting into FPA’s long and short term strategic plans, with an eye to the setting and monitoring of appropriate targets.
• Writing and editing: Including overseeing the production of our Annual Report.
• Events: Organising online and in-person events and meetings, including annual strategy days and a 2026 conference.

Compensation Policy 

We’ll compensate team members on the following basis:

• All salaried team members are contracted on the same terms and conditions

• We have a 30 hour week maximum for all team members - most commonly worked as 4 x 7.5 hour days

This Fundraising Lead role (Maternity Cover) is central to our strategy - designed to secure sustainable income through community engagement, partnerships, and bold, values-aligned funding. Key Responsibilities

Fundraising & income generation 

· Trusts & grants: Research, write, and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations, and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

· Corporate & individual giving: Work alongside Service Delivery Manager and Deputy Service Manager to develop relationships with corporate sponsors and individual donors, creating engagement opportunities.

· Donor stewardship: Manage and nurture relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting and impact updates.

Southall Black Sisters (SBS) is seeking a Strategic Caseworker to help turn the lived realities of Black, minoritised, and migrant women into systemic change.

Rather than providing direct advocacy, this role focuses on working closely with the Communications, Policy & Strategic Litigation Manager and the Advocacy Team to identify patterns of injustice from SBS’s casework, develop evidence-based challenges, and support legal, policy, and campaigning interventions. An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join the Borde Hill team to work on the Reinventing Borde Hill project. This role will be responsible for managing the Community Growing Garden at Sugworth Farm, part of our new 2-acre biodynamic market garden which produces seasonal fruit and vegetables to supply the new restaurant, café and farm shop at Borde Hill.

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, the project includes an Activity Plan including a range of learning, community and volunteering activities, and this new role will have responsibility for overseeing community engagement both at the Community Growing Garden, and across the Parkland and main Garden.

Your role will focus on two key areas: overseeing the seasonal growing at the Community Growing Garden with volunteers and community partners, and developing and delivering an annual site-wide community engagement programme.

You will work closely with the NLHF Project Team, as well as the Green team. You will lead on liaising with local schools, community groups and charities, encouraging and facilitating participation in the Community Growing and wider site community programmes. Your passion for learning, community engagement, horticulture and nature will be key in ensuring this programme succeeds in delivering the ambitions set out in the Activity Plan.

Although funded via the Lottery project, this role is permanent as we are committed to continuing it after the funded project; we intend to continue the wide range of the activities that your role will nurture and develop.
