About the role
Coram Children’s Legal Centre is looking for a new Paralegal to join our dedicated, friendly and highly experienced Immigration & Asylum team.

We are seeking a dynamic senior campaigns and communications officer to drive our public impact. You will lead communications for our high-profile FairChecks campaign for criminal records reform, coordinate our popular podcast, and elevate the digital presence of Transform Justice. Our Prayerline call takers are all volunteers who have a passion for prayer and an intimate relationship with Jesus that desires them to see breakthrough in people’s lives. This role, as part of our staff team, will ensure that our volunteers as well as our callers have a safe and positive experience of telephone prayer ministry.
In order to fulfil this role, you must be computer literate, able to monitor the call management system, analysing dropped calls and call waiting times but also ensuring that volunteers are able to log into and out of the system successfully. You will also need excellent people skills as you will be the primary point of contact should a volunteer have a difficult call and need prayer and support themselves, with escalation to the team leads when necessary. Kingston Street Pastors is a churches initiative which has been operating since 2006 deploying Christian volunteers in the town centre in the night time to Care, Listen and Help. We enjoy excellent relationships with key stakeholders in Kingston’s night time economy including our local council, police and businesses. Within the wider Street Pastors movement we have made significant contributions over the years to develop policy and practice and have worked closely with neighbouring Street Pastors initiatives and with the Ascension Trust. For governance purposes Kingston Street Pastors operates as an affiliated project of Oxygen, a Kingston based youth work charity.
Our key strategic priorities are to maintain and build on the positive relationships we have with our local council, the police and businesses in the night time economy, taking advantage of opportunities for collaboration, accessing funding and other forms of support. We are perennially focused on the recruitment of new volunteers to serve as Street Pastors and Prayer Pastors to sustain and grow our capacity to deploy teams to the streets.
About the Role

Location: North London
Salary: £22,620 per annum
Hours: 30 hours per week
Contract: 1 year fixed-term contract with possibility of extension
This is a rewarding and varied frontline role where no two days are the same. You will be involved in rescuing and supporting vulnerable animals, coordinating veterinary treatment and ongoing care, supporting fostering and rehoming pathways, responding to welfare concerns and helping deliver community welfare initiatives across the Branch area.
You will work closely with members of the public, volunteers, fosterers, veterinary partners, local Inspectorate teams and external agencies to help deliver high-quality welfare support to animals in need. The role will also include supporting the Branch Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programme for stray and feral cats, assisting with animal transport and admissions, maintaining welfare records and helping strengthen frontline animal welfare provision across North London.
We are looking for someone with previous experience in animal welfare, rescue or a similar environment who is confident handling cats and other domestic animals, able to manage varied casework calmly and professionally, and committed to delivering high standards of animal welfare with empathy and compassion.
The role will include some occasional evenings and weekends in line with operational needs.
