OCD-UK is entering an exciting new chapter as we look ahead to the next phase of our growth. We want to develop, strengthen and future-proof our fundraising income – and that’s where you could come in as our new Fundraising Development Manager.  This is a unique opportunity to lead income generation at a pivotal moment for our charity and to shape how we fund our work in the years ahead, you will expand our ability to generate income from our community fundraisers. 

This will be a challenging but rewarding position within a small friendly and dynamic charity, with clear growth ambitions and a determination to make a real positive impact for children and adults affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

You will bring ambition, clarity, ideas and organisation to help generate fundraising income. You will lead on all aspects of fundraising for our mass participation event places, with a focus on our London Marathon places for 2027 and beyond. You will also help to develop new income campaign streams for the charity, including building and mobilising a network of fundraisers, to drive individual giving, sponsorship and fundraising activities.

In addition, you will also lead on preparing small grant bid-writing through persuasive communication with high-quality grant writing to unlock new opportunities to secure funding to help bring charity projects and ideas to life. 

This role isn’t just about processing fundraising applications and writing funding bids from behind a desk. It’s about being a visible, energetic advocate for the OCD-UK community.  You will champion our work as well as supporting other colleagues in their duties where your time allows.

East London Apartments provides 24 hour accommodation based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness as well as individuals who have been diagnosed with severe and enduring mental health conditions who are under the Care Programme Approach (CPA).

About the Role

As a Triage and Early Interventions Officer (TEIO), you will carry out comprehensive assessments of impact and risk to inform the development of individualised, structured support plans, delivered in line with VS's Service Model.

You will also contribute to the delivery of the local helpline and undertake a range of administrative duties. These include processing invoices, supporting the management of social media channels, and completing health and safety checks. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for service users referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed
• Carry a caseload of service users who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld
• Empower service users to enable them to make informed choices about their future options
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service

We are looking for a qualified Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) to join our friendly and committed team.

Your role will be to support women practically and emotionally as they go through the criminal justice system.

Overall Objectives

To work within a multi-agency setting to provide a proactive service to adult victims of sexual violence within and outside the criminal justice system to:

• Risk assess and maintain client safety
• Help clients access their rights
• Monitor and keep clients informed of case progress and provide support through the criminal justice system
• Help clients access health and other services they require
• Build ongoing relationships with loved ones of a victim/survivor engaged in the ISVA service
• Provide an information point for loved ones on the CJS

Applicants who are not yet ISVA‑qualified, but who have relevant experience working within the criminal justice system and/or sexual violence services will also be considered. In this case, the successful candidate would be supported to complete the ISVA qualification.

During the training year, the salary would be £28,000 per annum, reflecting the cost of training and supervision. On successful completion of the ISVA qualification, the salary would increase to £30,000 per annum.

The salary for a qualified ISVA would be £30,000 – £32,000, depending on experience.

Responsible for developing and delivering Bright Shadow’s long-term income strategy, you will play an important role at the heart of our organisation. As well as managing our funding pipeline and relationships with funders and donors, you will build a diverse and sustainable funding portfolio to support our ambitious creative programme for people living with and affected by dementia.

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure the effective management of our resources. This role is central to maintaining our financial health and supporting our strategic goals. You will ensure all financial processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient. You will work closely with our Director to ensure all financial processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient. 

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES INCLUDE: 

Invoicing and Payments 

Cash and Monitoring 

• Update monthly actuals and track variances within the cashflow. 
• Support project teams with maintaining and reporting on budgets in line with funder requirements.
• Contribute to the development of budgets for fundraising proposals.
• Continuously review financial systems to ensure efficiency and best practice

Bookkeeping 

• Carry out weekly and monthly bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries in QuickBooks and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the production of quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required.
• Oversee Gift Aid claims and processes.

Independent Examination, Annual Report and Accounts 

• Prepared and organised all documentation for the Independent Examination, ensuring compliance with statutory and Charity Commission requirements. 

• Supporting the Director in responding to examiner enquiries and year-end processes. 

• Reviewing financial records, reconciled balances, and drafted sections of the Annual Report. 

• Coordinating with internal teams and external advisors and assisting with implementing examiner recommendations.

About the Nightlight Crisis Service

Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been delivering Nightlight, part of Hertfordshire’s crisis alternatives pathway, for the last 8 years. We are proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House.

We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.

As a senior member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

The objectives of HMN’s Nightlight Crisis provision is to:

• Improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• Provide 24/7 365 support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• Increase early access to help for people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to other services provided by HMN and other third sector and statutory providers.
• Remain a source of independent support for all service users.
• Provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.

About the Role

As a member of the HMN Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Service Manager for our Crisis provision across Hertfordshire (Nightlight), you will be leading the total provision of our 24/7 365 week Crisis House, Daylight, Helpline and Crisis Cafés. You will also oversee our A&E Liaison Project, supporting staff operating in A&E to divert individuals into community crisis provision.

You will ensure the provision is safe, effective and person centered; be accountable for achieving KPI’s, data reporting to Commissioners and the wider SMT & CEO, and develop the service using evidence based data, strategic thought & planning.

The successful candidate will be highly proficient manager with proven knowledge, skills and abilities as a leader and manager and have experience of developing and delivering mental health services within a health and social care setting, strong experience of managing the delivery of contracts, working to deadlines and achieving outputs, significant proven knowledge and skills around services working with adults with mental health needs and demonstrable understanding of relevant legislation and policies such as the Data Protection Act, Safeguarding and Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Safeguarding Children and the Mental Health Act and they will have a willingness to travel to locations across Hertfordshire.
