We're looking for an exceptional relationship-builder and communicator with a proven track record of securing five- and six-figure grants from Trusts and Foundations. You'll be confident translating complex data into compelling funding propositions and using your outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills to inspire support for our mission.

The post of Biodiversity Data and Evidence Officer is a central and varied role within EcoRecord, that will include making use of GIS mapping and specialised databases to analyse and digitise ecological data. We are seeking an experienced and technically strong finance professional to lead our Financial Accounting and transaction processing functions. This is a senior role within the Finance / Resources directorate, reporting to the Director of Resources and playing a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of the College’s financial accounting arrangements.
The postholder will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the financial accounting and transaction processing teams, supporting statutory reporting, technical accounting, treasury management, tax compliance, financial systems development and effective financial control across the group. About the role
You will lead the preparation of annual financial statements for the group and single entity, ensure timely submission of regulatory returns, and provide expert advice on technical accounting matters including FRS 102, Charity SORP, OSCR requirements, VAT and other tax matters. THE ROLE
The postholder will support the Prevention Coordinator to ensure events are delivered safely and effectively.
They will offer information, advice and guidance to people facing issues that are currently or may soon affect their housing security — delivering swift, impactful interventions that help reduce the risk of homelessness, and advocating and mediating on clients' behalf as they navigate complex bureaucratic systems. This role involves building meaningful relationships with some of the most vulnerable people in our communities, connecting them with the Welfare Benefits, Housing Allocations, Citizens Advice, mental health and substance misuse support they need and deserve.
The postholder will work closely with a wide range of partners, including homelessness service providers, local authorities, and healthcare and wellbeing organisations. They will carry a varied caseload, conducting assessments and working creatively to navigate the complex and challenging issues that can lead to clients becoming homeless, supporting them to engage with services. Working closely with SPEAR's Homeless Health Link Team, they will support colleagues with client-facing work and carry a caseload of clients requiring homelessness prevention support.
This role will be spread across 4 days per week.

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Support and Governance, the role works alongside the Fundraising Supporter Services and Standards Manager, Retail Operations Manager and Retail Support & Projects Manager.
The Commercial Directorate incorporates Fundraising and Retail Operations alongside other Commercial activities such as the International Learning Academy at Sue Ryder. The role will focus predominantly on fundraising operations compliance and provide leadership and assurance guidance for other commercial operations.
You will lead the development and implementation of a compliance framework across all fundraising operations at Sue Ryder which includes, maintaining awareness of external legal and regulatory requirements, engaging stakeholders to review and update policies, work with subject matter experts to create compliance processes and training.
You will also build and maintain reporting and other mechanisms which clearly identify where assurance is available or where not, providing leaders with data to focus on improving compliance.
