About the role 

We're looking for an ambitious, delivery-focused Network Delivery Manager to lead our national network of schools and drive the high-quality programmes that power our work. This is more than a delivery role — it's your opportunity to lead network growth and programme delivery for a growing national charity. You'll shape how we engage and retain schools, lead and develop a team of Programme Leaders, and broaden your expertise across network management, programme delivery, and organisational growth. 

Working closely with the Senior Education Manager, the Education and Impact Manager and colleagues across the organisation, you'll grow participation across our school network, build strong and trusted relationships with schools, teachers and partners, ensure our flagship programmes run brilliantly, and create the engagement that enables more children and young people to become active citizens.

The Learning team at The Trust is looking for a Digital Learning Manager to join our established team. Responsible for engaging with stakeholders to identify learning needs, and then creating high-quality, engaging digital learning content to upskill and empower our staff, volunteers and delivery partners to better support young people.

This fully funded role runs until 30th September 2027 and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a major employability programme supporting young people across the UK.

You will lead a small team, ensuring that we effectively engage with our stakeholders, understand their needs, and work with them to create digital learning content that delivers against learning outcomes, working right across the training cycle. You’ll also be responsible for managing a Learning Management System, ensuring that learning content is accessible to the right groups of learners. The role sits within a small but dedicated team, who are committed to delivering work of the highest quality. This means that you’ll also need to be hands-on with the creative process, from storyboarding and scripting through to camera set-up, filming, graphic design, and editing. You’ll also lead in the evaluation and continuous improvement of our digital learning products, tracking data and lead times to ensure the best experience for both stakeholders and end users. As this is a fixed-term role, we’ll be looking for someone with direct experience in the same or a similar role in order to smoothly transition into this fast-paced and dynamic team.

The Winchester Beacon has been supporting individuals experiencing homelessness for almost forty years. The organisation provides a safe and welcoming accommodation for up to 22 individuals, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day across 4 sites. Residents receive personalised support through regular one-to-one meetings with a Support Worker to plan steps towards positive change and independent living.

Role Description

This 0.6 part-time hybrid role (22.5 hours per week) of Facilities Manager is based in Winchester with some flexibility for remote work. The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance, safety and functionality of the organisation’s main site and off-site residences. Responsibilities include coordinating repairs and maintenance, managing contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and performing regular site inspections. The role also involves maintaining records, managing budgets related to facilities, and collaborating with staff and stakeholders to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including performing inspections, coordinating repairs and engaging with contractors.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational and budget management skills to effectively oversee resources and documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience in managing multiple sites and troubleshooting facility-related issues is advantageous.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and in a hybrid work environment.
• A commitment to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and knowledge of housing-related services is a plus.

Finance Manager

We are delighted to share this new and exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the organisation. This is a part-time role offering hybrid and flexible working.

Position: Finance Manager

Location: Manchester/Hybrid (min 1 day per week in the Manchester office)

Salary: £50,455 pro-rated to 21 hours (actual £30,273)

Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

As Finance Manager, you will own the delivery of financial compliance, reporting and planning for the organisation. Reporting to the COO, you will provide leadership within the finance function, ensuring the accurate and timely production of management accounts, budgets and forecasts. You will focus on technical review, strategic financial analysis, Board reporting and business partnering with senior stakeholders, supporting effective organisational decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

Management Reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Review and quality-assure monthly management accounts.
• Provide strategic commentary and analysis for the COO and CEO.
• Lead the annual budget process and reforecasting cycle, setting timelines, assumptions and formats; direct the Financial Controller in the preparation of supporting schedules and present final outputs.
• Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, pricing and scenario planning, providing recommendations to the COO and Leadership Team.

Board & Subcommittee Reporting and Governance

• Prepare financial performance, planning and reporting papers for the Board, Audit and Risk Committee, and Leadership Team.
• Work with the COO to develop, review and maintain financial policies and procedures.

Line Management and Finance Delivery

• Line manage the Financial Controller.
• Manage the relationship with external bookkeeping support.
• Act as the escalation point for complex finance queries.

Financial Control and Systems

• Design and maintain robust financial controls, processes and reconciliations.
• Drive the ongoing development and effective use of Xero to improve efficiency, reporting and quality.
• Ensure tax compliance across VAT, payroll and corporation tax returns.

Statutory Accounts

• Prepare annual statutory accounts (the financial section of the Annual Report).
• Review year-end working papers and analysis, responding to technical and judgement-based audit queries.

Business Partnering

• Act as finance business partner to senior budget holders and Leadership Team members.
• Set standards and frameworks for business partnering delivered by the Financial Controller.
• Meet regularly with senior budget holders to review financial performance, challenge assumptions and support decision-making.
• Lead complex financial analysis and provide advice to support departmental and project decisions.
• Provide financial input into organisational strategy, pricing and business development.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent)
• Proven experience in leading the delivery of high-quality management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to support organisational decision-making
• Strong governance and financial control mindset, and proficiency in developing, maintaining and improving financial systems, policies and processes
• Effective business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credible relationships and provide professional financial advice to senior budget holders and the Leadership Team
• Sound knowledge of statutory financial reporting, external audit processes and tax compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and confidently to a range of audiences
• Exceptional organisational skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail while effectively managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines
