The funds we raise also support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre. The Campaign Manager will lead the development and delivery of engaging, audience-focused campaigns that raise awareness of the charity, increase understanding of cancer support services, promote grant-giving programmes, and help drive fundraising growth across the region.
The role will focus on bringing the charity’s impact to life through powerful storytelling, creative campaigns, and compelling content that demonstrates how the charity supports people affected by cancer and invests in hospitals, healthcare services, and local communities.
Working across fundraising, services, and communications, the Campaign Manager will develop integrated campaigns that inspire support, strengthen community engagement, and increase the visibility and reach of the charity.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Development & Delivery
• Develop and deliver multi-channel campaigns that support the charity’s strategic priorities and objectives.
• Create awareness campaigns that promote the charity brand, support services, fundraising activities, and grant-giving programmes.
• Lead campaign planning from concept through to delivery and evaluation.
• Ensure campaigns are audience-focused, emotionally engaging, and aligned with the charity’s values and tone of voice.
• Coordinate campaign timelines, budgets, assets, and stakeholder input to ensure successful delivery.
Demonstrating Impact Through Storytelling
• Develop compelling campaign content that demonstrates the real-life impact of the charity’s work.
• Showcase how fundraising supports people affected by cancer, healthcare improvements, hospital services, community initiatives, and wellbeing programmes.
• Gather and develop case studies, patient stories, supporter testimonials, videos, photography, and impact data.
• Work sensitively with beneficiaries, families, healthcare professionals, and grant recipients to capture authentic stories.
• Translate complex healthcare or grant information into accessible and engaging public-facing content.
Supporting Fundraising Growth
• Create campaigns that help increase fundraising income and supporter engagement.
• Support community fundraising, events, corporate partnerships, individual giving, and appeals through targeted campaign activity.
• Develop supporter journeys and engagement campaigns that encourage donations, participation, and long-term loyalty.
• Identify opportunities to broaden audience reach and attract new supporters.
Awareness of Services & Grant-Giving
• Increase awareness of the charity’s support services among people affected by cancer, carers, healthcare professionals, and local communities.
• Promote grant-funded projects and partnerships across hospitals and community settings.
• Work collaboratively with service delivery teams and healthcare partners to communicate outcomes and opportunities effectively.
• Support campaigns that improve access to services and reach underserved audiences.
Content & Communications
• Develop campaign content across digital, print, social media, email, video, PR, and advertising channels.
• Work with designers, photographers, videographers, agencies, and suppliers where required.
• Ensure all campaign materials are accurate, accessible, inclusive, and on brand.
• Contribute to website content, newsletters, impact reports, and social media storytelling.
Monitoring & Evaluation
• Monitor campaign performance and provide regular reporting on engagement, reach, conversions, and impact.
• Use audience insights, analytics, and feedback to optimise campaign effectiveness.
• Evaluate return on investment and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Relationship Management
• Build strong relationships across fundraising, services, healthcare partners, community organisations, and external suppliers.
• Act as a positive ambassador for the charity at events, meetings, and partnership activities.
• Support collaborative working across teams to maximise campaign impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Business
· Support the development of a new business pipeline by researching, approaching and engaging prospective corporate partners across a range of sectors
· Contribute to securing income through corporate sponsorships and donations, supporting Back Up’s services and special events
· Work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop and tailor partnership propositions and offers
· Support the identification and securing of corporate sponsorship for Back Up special events
· Assist in securing gift in kind and pro bono support to help deliver the charity’s work
· Support the onboarding of new partners, including completing due diligence in line with Back Up’s ethical fundraising policy and assisting with partnership agreements and stewardship plans
Account Management
· Deliver high-quality relationship and account management for Legal Panel members and sponsors, supporting agreed engagement and stewardship plans
· Promote opportunities for partners and sponsors to increase their involvement and impact, including volunteering, fundraising, events, donations and grants
· Support delivery of Legal Panel and Sponsorship agreements, including coordinating meetings, attending events and ensuring strong partner visibility
· Produce and share clear reports and updates on activity, outcomes and impact with partners and sponsors

Collaboration and Promotion
· Build strong, positive working relationships across the organisation to support effective delivery of corporate fundraising plans

· Collaborate with the Public Fundraising team to ensure partner and sponsor engagement opportunities are shared and promoted

About the Sickle Cell Society (SCS)
The Sickle Cell Society (SCS) is the only national charity in the UK that supports and represents people affected by a sickle cell disorder. We provide information, advice and support to enable people to improve their overall quality of life. Over 18,500 people in the UK have a sickle cell disorder, an inherited condition that predominantly affects people of Black African and Black Caribbean heritage; and to a lesser extent people of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South Asian and Central/South American heritage.
Job Purpose:
To assist the Fundraising Manager in the delivery of the Sickle Cell Society’s (SCS) Fundraising Strategy and on-going development to achieve its fundraising priorities and targets. An exciting and varied role we are seeking a strong team player, and someone with the confidence and initiative to help develop and grow charitable income. The post holder will be someone with a ‘cando’ attitude and the enthusiasm to want to learn and get things done. You will be responsible for the membership and donors’ database (Beacon) keeping up to date and reporting back on results, whilst ensuring data compliance and implementation of data. You will be highly proficient in the use of business IT systems in particular Microsoft Excel to analyse data, and you will also have at least one year’s experience, or equivalent, in producing detailed and insightful reports.
The post-holder will be a confident communicator and collaborator with proven relationship building and creative and innovative fundraising skills. You will also support the development of our fundraising communications, monitoring performance across all channels driving best practice and income growth. The Fundraising Manager – Trusts is responsible for developing trust income. There is a robust pipeline in place, and huge scope to look beyond the pipeline and work with the service delivery teams to identify new funding opportunities. This role will focus on larger funding bids, and exploring the potential for funding for Sight Scotland Veterans. The role supports the organisation’s purpose to make a significant impact on the lives of people living with visual impairment in Scotland by maximising fundraising income to deliver brilliant services and create a positive impact on our ability to deliver for the long term.
This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior trust fundraiser level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a trust and grants pipeline, creating compelling applications and directly delivering income success.This role will line manage a Trusts Fundraiser (a brand-new post to Sight Scotland), so this could be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to take on people management for the first time.

About The Bike Project
The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees. We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.
The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of committed staff, an online bike shop and two workshops, one in London and one in Birmingham.
To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.
We are now working towards our ambitious goal - that every refugee, wherever they are, can access the transformative power of a bike. Alongside this, we are strengthening our processes and procedures to ensure we are work efficiently and sustainably.
To help us do this we need people that are full of ideas, who love problem solving and are not afraid to suggest new ways of doing things to achieve the best possible results for our community.
Role and Responsibilities
This role will suit someone who can adapt or work in a fast-paced environment, who can prioritise activities based on the expected amount of income they generate.
As Fundraising Officer, you’ll play a key role across a wide range of fundraising activities, including supporting Trusts and Foundations grant applications, managing our challenge events programme, leading DIY fundraising initiatives, assisting with individual giving appeals, delivering supporter events, and ensuring high-quality donor stewardship. You’ll work closely with colleagues to engage supporters, drive income, and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
Skills and Qualiifcations
We’re looking for a proactive Fundraising Officer with strong digital skills and experience using fundraising platforms such as Raisely. You’ll have a track record in campaign delivery, event management, and donor communications, with excellent copywriting skills and the ability to adapt messages for different audiences. Previous fundraising experience is essential, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently to achieve results.
Location
Hybrid - At least two days per week on site in our London office (Brixton) and Deptford workshop, the remainder of your hours can be worked remotely.
