As Community and Hospitals Fundraiser at Northamptonshire Health Charity, you'll engage with people in our hospitals, in workplaces, and in the community, helping to transform local healthcare through meaningful relationship building and fundraising.

About us

We're the charity that supports the NHS across Northamptonshire. By raising funds for Northampton General Hospital, Kettering General Hospital and the community and mental health services provided by Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, we help provide the equipment, environments and patient experiences that enhance care beyond what NHS budgets alone can fund.

About the role

As our Community and Hospital Fundraiser, you'll be a friendly and familiar presence across Northampton General Hospital, Berrywood Hospital and communities throughout South Northamptonshire. Most of your time will be spent out and about on wards, in workplaces and at community events, building relationships and inspiring support for the charity. You'll be approachable, visible and passionate about helping people make a difference to local healthcare.

What you'll be doing

• Building strong relationships with NHS staff, ward teams and department leads, helping the Charity become a trusted and familiar presence across our hospitals.
• Connecting with local businesses, schools, clubs and community groups, growing support for the Charity across Northampton and South Northamptonshire.
• Inspiring people to get involved, whether that's playing our lottery, taking part in an event or supporting a fundraising campaign.
• Delivering engaging talks and presentations that bring our impact to life and show how supporters make a difference.
• Keeping accurate supporter records and ensuring every new supporter enjoys a smooth and positive experience.
• Working towards clear recruitment and income targets, taking pride in the difference you make.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people and building meaningful relationships. You'll be confident striking up conversations, comfortable asking for support and have the skills to foster long term support.

You'll be able to work independently, think on your feet and build rapport with a wide range of people, from senior clinicians and NHS colleagues to community groups, local business leaders and supporters. Most importantly, you'll bring warmth, enthusiasm and a passion for making a difference to local healthcare.

The details

• 35 hours per week (part-time and flexible working requests considered)
• £30,000 per annum plus benefits
• 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become permanent
• Based across Northampton General Hospital, Berrywood Hospital, Northamtpon and South Northamptonshire
• Regular evening and weekend events required
