You will be helping to run the social media channels of our CEO and Founder, Dr Luke Gamble, working as part of the Marketing Team at animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS). Your role will help raise awareness of the charities work, which in turn will mean more animals receive life-saving veterinary care.
You will take the lead on communication through our social media platforms for Luke, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. You will work closely with our Senior Marketing Executive and wider marketing team to create content tailored for each channel to ensure high levels of engagement, and audience growth.
This is a new role and offers a great opportunity for the right candidate. This role would be based at our office in Truro, Cornwall.

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.
We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi, Cambodia and the Galápagos Islands. We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Since the project began, over seven million dogs have been vaccinated against rabies and over thirteen million children have been educated in rabies prevention, protecting the lives of people and animals.
Last year, WVS helped an animal every 14 seconds. We trained over 4,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,700 parcels of veterinary supplies to 261 charities in 71 countries.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Create engaging and informative content for Luke’s channels, including producing day to day content plans and supporting on campaigns.
- Work with the WVS film team to develop an annual content calendar and overarching strategy for the YouTube channel, tailored to appropriate audiences.
- Work with Luke to produce regular engaging video content.
- Analyse engagement data to provide insights and continuously improve communications.
- Manage the social media accounts on a day-to-day basis, including responding to comments and messages.
- Identify and liaise with influencers, brand ambassadors, and collaborators.
- Support the wider marketing team with campaigns and activity.
- Some evening and weekend working, to include travel, will likely be required.
Essential Skills & Experience

Job Summary

Role outline and purpose
The Head of External Relations leads strategic engagement and influencing activities to ensure hunger and hardship remain a priority for key external audiences, to build the breadth and depth of support needed to help end the need for food banks. This role engages and influences target stakeholders in government, business, civil society and faith communities to prioritise hunger and hardship in their decisions and actions.
This role is part of Trussell’s Prioritising Hunger and Hardship programme, the goal of which is to keep hunger and hardship at the forefront of conversations and decision making – both amongst the public and key individuals and organisations relevant to our cause. This role is focused on the successful delivery of the overall programme outcomes, contributing to the fulfilment of our long-term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.
Role responsibilities
· Leading the organisation’s external influencing strategy to shape key conversations, decisions, and activities among target audiences to ensure hunger and hardship remain a national priority. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation focused on influencing and advocacy with relevant stakeholders (e.g. policymakers, advice sector, local authorities).
· Develop and maintain high-impact senior relationships with key parliamentarians, civil servants, faith leaders, youth organisations, the wider charitable food sector and other partners to build strategic support and unlock change.
· Oversee targeted engagement programmes that deepen collaboration with, and activate, key stakeholders and organisations to build and amplify the long-term wide-ranging support needed to end the need for food banks – including youth and wider civil society organisations, charitable food providers and faith communities.

Title: RAD-P Project: Policy Review Consultancy

BACKGROUND
The Realising the African Disability Protocol (RAD-P) project seeks to strengthen the participation of persons with disabilities – particularly the most excluded – in governance and decision-making structures in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The project aims to ensure that persons with disabilities influence inclusive policies and local development processes in alignment with the African Disability Protocol (ADP).
RAD-P focuses on building the capacity of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), particularly OPD umbrella organisations, to undertake policy analysis, advocacy, and effective engagement with government duty bearers. The project places strong emphasis on women’s leadership, youth participation, and gender equality within the disability movement, and promotes collaboration between OPDs, civil society organisations, and government institutions.
As part of this work, OPDs in Zambia have pre-identified key national policies for review. Sightsavers is therefore seeking a consultant to support OPDs to review these policies, strengthen understanding of disability-related policy frameworks, and develop clear policy messages to influence disability inclusion.
What the consultant will be focusing on: Policy review & OPD Capacity Building
The consultancy will support OPDs in Zambia to:
- Review selected national policies through a disability inclusion lens
- Strengthen understanding of global, regional, and national disability policy frameworks
- Build practical skills to conduct policy reviews independently
- Develop evidence-based policy messages and advocacy strategies to influence stakeholders
The assignment is designed to be highly participatory and capacity-building in nature.
Responsibilities
The consultant will:
- Design and deliver training sessions for OPDs on policy review methodologies
- Facilitate practical, hands-on policy review exercises using pre-identified Zambian policies
- Provide an overview of relevant global, regional, and national policy frameworks, including UNCRPD, SDGs, and the African Disability Protocol
- Support OPDs to identify gaps in reviewed policies and develop disability-inclusive recommendations
- Work with OPDs to develop key policy messages and an engagement strategy for influencing duty bearers and stakeholders
- Document the process and produce a comprehensive final report

The successful consultant will demonstrate:
- An advanced degree in Social Policy, Development Studies, Law, Disability Studies, or a related field

Sculpt is a UK-based charity with over 20 years’ experience, who support young people to shape their own future. Pagham Harbour is a glorious and peaceful nature reserve, one of the few undeveloped stretches of the Sussex coast. Watch Black-tailed Godwits and Little Egrets by day, then linger when skies are clear for an amazing sunset.
One of the highlights of summer at Pagham is our tern colony on Tern Island. The sound of chattering terns drifts across the languid waters mingled with the harsher squawks of the Black-headed Gulls. Common, Sandwich and Little Terns all nest on the island and it is a delight to watch these elegant seabirds fishing in the harbour, hovering briefly before diving into the water for small fish.
About the Role
As a Reserve based Seasonal Fundraiser at Pagham Harbour, you’ll work alongside our friendly staff and volunteers to welcome visitors, share the importance of this extraordinary site, and inspire them to support the RSPB’s vital conservation efforts.
The role is target-driven and requires confidence, resilience, and enthusiasm - but for those who thrive on purpose and people, it’s truly rewarding.
This position may be well suited to students or individuals seeking a recurring seasonal role each year.

What We Need from You:
- Passion for people and conservation - we’ll teach you the rest!
- Resilience and positivity when facing challenges.
- Confidence speaking with members of the public and working toward clear targets.
- Comfortable working outdoors and often independently.
- Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month.
- Fundraising, sales or customer service experience (desirable, not essential).
Additional Information:
- Fixed-term, Until Early September 2026
- The successful candidate will attend an in person induction and training at the HQ in Sandy, Bedfordshire (travel and accommodation expenses covered).
