The role
As Director of Care, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, management, quality and performance of our care services.
You will:
- Provide strong, visible and inspirational clinical leadership across all care services.

About you
We are looking for an exceptional clinical leader who combines strategic vision with strong operational management and a genuine passion for children's palliative care.
You will be a registered nurse with significant experience in paediatric palliative care and senior-level leadership experience. You will have a strong understanding of clinical governance, CQC requirements, PSIRF and safeguarding, together with experience of leading service development and change.
You will bring:
- NMC registration as a Children's or Adult Nurse.
- Significant experience of palliative paediatric nursing.
- Senior-level experience of management, strategic thinking and service development.

You will be comfortable using data, insight and evidence to drive decision-making and have a track record of stakeholder engagement and identifying opportunities for innovation and growth.
You will also bring experience of impact measurement, evaluation, quality assurance or performance frameworks, with the ability to use evidence to demonstrate value and improve services. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, alongside the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and work across organisational boundaries. An understanding of the needs of older people, the wider ageing sector and the role that data, learning and collaboration play in delivering social impact would be advantageous.

This vital role within the Landmark Trust’s fundraising team focuses on delivering excellent supporter engagement across the Landmark Friends, Lundy Friends and Marisco Club supporter schemes. You will manage the day-to-day administration of these groups with the highest standards of supporter care and deliver a programme of small events and communications to engage and retain these supporters. Working closely with the Development Manager (Patrons) and other colleagues in Development, you will also support the delivery of events for the Landmark Patrons, and other supporters as needed.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in giving high-quality customer service, with strong communication skills and a keen attention to detail. You will be comfortable speaking to supporters on the phone and at in-person at events, drafting personalised letters and emails, and managing various administrative tasks. While fundraising experience isn’t essential, you will bring experience of a customer-facing or supporter-focused role, excellent organisational skills and, ideally, of working with databases. An interest in the charity sector, and heritage in particular, would be an advantage.
This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone looking to develop a career in fundraising and supporter engagement within a unique heritage organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supporter engagement, stewardship and recruitment
- Deliver excellent supporter care, responding to enquiries, welcoming new Friends and Lundy supporters and building relationships to ensure that all supporters feel valued and appreciated, and to grow and retain the Landmark and Lundy supporter base.
- Support donor stewardship activities, including drafting timely thank-you communications, responding to email and telephone enquiries, assisting with the production of regular newsletters, and impact stories.
- Work alongside the Development Manager (Patrons) to promote all the Landmark Trust’s supporter schemes to existing Landmark contacts and new audiences.

Event coordination and delivery
- Work alongside the Development Manager (Patrons) to:
- coordinate the regular programme of online talks for all supporter schemes
- plan, coordinate and deliver the regular programme of in person events for Landmark Friends, including site visits to Landmark properties and other places of interest.
- Support the Development Manager (Patrons) with the delivery of the Patrons event programme.
- Work within the wider Development team to assist with the planning and delivery of other supporter events, as required e.g. during the fundraising phase of a project.
- Manage event logistics including invitations, RSVPs, guest lists, internal safety and briefing materials and liaising with venues.
- Represent the Landmark Trust, with other members of the Development team, at events.
Data management and administration
- Maintain accurate supporter records within the CRM system, ensuring that data held is accurate, up to date and in line with current best practice in the sector.

Communications
- Support the creation of engaging content for all supporter schemes across email, digital, and print channels.

Role Overview:
The role will be carried out in the finance department, which is situated within Battersea Park. The role will be reporting to the Head of Finance. Regular duties would initially consist of, but not be limited to, the below. They will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they are in line with development needs.
Central Services ensuresthe company operates smoothly and assists in working towards Enables strategic direction. Supporting the various services that make up Enable, Central Services consists of small and high output teams including Human Resources, Marcomms, Operations and Finance. Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes, delivering to the agreed timetable.
- Line manage the Finance Officer, providing guidance, objective setting, appraisal and performance management.
- Prepare and post all month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments and payroll journals.
- Post deferred and accrued income entries in Sage Intacct in line with the organisation’s revenue recognition policy.
- Run monthly depreciation, post fixed asset journals and maintain the fixed asset register.
- Process internal and external recharges.
- Review the bank and credit card reconciliations prepared by the Finance Officer and the debtors control account reconciliation prepared by the Credit Controller.
- Check the trial balance against the management accounts and prepare management accounts narratives and variance commentary for review by the Head of Finance.
- Compile and analyse financial data to create accurate and timely reports for management review.
- Take responsibility for all balance sheet reconciliations other than the debtors control account (prepared by the Credit Controller) and the bank and credit card accounts (prepared by the Finance Officer), ensuring reconciling items are investigated and cleared promptly.
- Review payment runs prepared by the Finance Officer ahead of approval by the Head of Finance, deputising as approver in the Head of Finance’s absence.
- Approve routine accounts receivable credit notes in line with delegated authority; credit notes above the delegated threshold and all write-offs are approved by the Head of Finance.
- Support the Credit Controller with receivables adjustments, write-offs and account queries.
- Apply accounting policies in line with relevant accounting standards and ensure they are followed across the organisation, escalating any issues to the Head of Finance.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements under the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
- Support the annual audit, preparing working papers and responding to auditor queries.
- Prepare and submit ONS returns.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
- Business partner with cross-functional teams, providing financial expertise, guidance and training as required.
- Provide recommendations to minimise risk and improve financial performance: identify areas for improvement, propose solutions and implement agreed changes.
- Provide Sage Intacct training and support to non-finance users.
- Act as the first point of contact for junior members of staff with operational and technical queries.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Accountant - ACCA/ACA/CIMA.
- Experience operating at Management Accountant level within a charity or not-for-profit environment.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting systems. Strong IT literacy, Microsoft Excel in particular.

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the organisation’s financial management, planning, reporting and compliance for The Old Market Charitable Trust, as well as its trading subsidiary, TOM Bar Ltd.
As the senior finance professional within the organisation, the postholder will provide strategic financial leadership to the Executive Team and Board, ensuring financial sustainability while supporting artistic ambition and commercial growth.
Strategic Finance & Leadership
- Act as the organisation’s lead finance professional and trusted adviser to the co-CEO’s and Board.
- Lead annual budgeting, business planning and financial forecasting processes.

Financial Management
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and cashflow reports.

- Lead annual statutory accounts preparation and audit process.

- Oversee all banking, investment and financial control arrangements.
Commercial & Operational Support
- Analyse profitability across productions, events, venue hires, bar operations and other commercial activities.
- Develop financial models for new artistic projects and partnerships.
- Support contract negotiations and procurement decisions.
- Work with department heads to improve financial literacy and accountability.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory and reporting requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures.
- Manage VAT, payroll, pension administration and taxation matters.
- Prepare financial reports and papers for Board and committee meetings.
- Support organisational risk management and governance processes.
Team Leadership
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and processes.

Essential Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) or significant equivalent experience.
Essential Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance management role.
- Experience producing management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
- Experience presenting financial information to senior stakeholders or boards.
- Experience managing audits and statutory reporting.
- Experience implementing or improving financial controls and systems.
- Experience in arts &culture organisations AND/OR Experience working within a registered charity.
Essential Skills & Knowledge
- Strong financial planning and analysis capability.
- Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience with cloud accounting systems (Xero preferred).

Our EDIA Officer is responsible for the implementation and delivery of our equality, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility (EDIA) strategy. Working in partnership with senior staff, our EDIA committee, and Trustees, you will advance the Society’s EDIA aims and objectives, providing expertise and knowledge to ensure the development of evidence-based EDIA programmes of work.

What you’ll be doing …
You will be designing, planning, and delivering projects aimed at improving outcomes for our fellows and student members, other key stakeholders, and the wider geoscience community. In line with our EDIA Strategy, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on activities and progress alongside the EDIA Committee, producing an annual report.
Beyond this, you should expect to be fostering relationships with key stakeholders and external partners to ensure that the Society continues to embed itself as an inclusive and equitable role model, and leader throughout the wider geoscience community on a global scale.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage the implementation and promotion of EDIA related activities across the Society, aligned with our EDIA Strategy.
- Oversee the implementation and evolution of the Society’s EDIA Strategy, working with the Director of Science & Engagement to secure support from senior stakeholders across the organisation and the wider geoscience community.
- Ensure that EDI requirements remain fully linked and part of the Society’s overall strategic vision.
- Work collaboratively with, and support, relevant stakeholders to deliver existing EDIA programs.
- To act as the custodian and liaison for Society EDIA matters, representing the Society externally where required.
- Manage relationships and foster engagement with external EDIA focused organisations, affiliations, networks, committees and groups (including but not limited to the D&I Progression Framework, DiG-UK, UGUK, AGU Inclusion and Representation in Geoscience Task Team, TIDE, the Equator Project, and Hidden Histories).
- Ensuring that the Society is at the forefront of EDIA as a leader within the global geoscience community.
Activities:
- Work alongside the Director of Science & Engagement to develop interventions and outcomes for specific EDIA Strategy objectives as ascribed.
- Review policies and procedures to enhance EDIA opportunities, ensuring all relevant guidance documents, policies, and processes are reflective of current legislation and supportive of a culture of inclusion.
- Monitor and report on EDIA Strategy progress to key stakeholders, when appropriate, celebrating success, and identifying key opportunities for improvement.
- Working with other team members, research on current and emerging trends in the EDIA landscape to apply and promote initiatives and share best practice.
- Update and develop EDIA resources for internal and external stakeholders, in a variety of formats, on key issues and/or developments as appropriate.
- Attend, lead and/or develop meetings relating to EDIA.
Collaborative working:
- Networking appropriately, maintain and developing relationships with EDIA professionals and organisations, sharing best practice and new ideas.
- Lead the coordination of EDIA related projects with external stakeholders and partners to support the delivery of key deliverables (e.g. AGU Task Force, Equator project etc.)
- Working alongside the EDIA Champion on Council, attend and provide secretariat support for the Society’s EDIA sub-committee, reporting into our External Relations Committee where required.
- Policy – working with the Head of Policy and Communications in developing EDI related consultation responses, briefings, public statements.
- Progression Framework - engage in working groups of the framework and carry out the benchmarking process at the Society in partnership with the Director of Science & Engagement.
- Funding – working in partnership with the Funding team to administer our EDIA and Community grants
- Working alongside the rest of the ‘This is Geoscience’ project team at the Society, contribute to the project’s aims and objectives ensuring that EDIA is appropriately centred in the campaign.
