Main Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the charity operates within a robust governance framework and maintains high standards of compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. This role will lead on policy development, governance reporting, administration progression and process improvement to support strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Governance and Compliance
- Maintain and update governance policies and registers, and development of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Act as the primary liaison for Board governance matters, including preparing Board papers, ensuring timely reporting and minuting.
- Monitor compliance with charity law, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate annual policy reviews and ensure staff adherence.
- Risk and Audit
- Maintain and update the organisational risk register for quarterly Board review.
- Support internal audits and external compliance checks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
- Operational Efficiency
- Review and streamline operational processes to improve efficiency, including IT and telephony, authorisations, filing and recruitment.
- Support budget monitoring and reporting in collaboration with Finance.

- Prepare governance and operational reports for the CEO and Board.
- Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for governance purposes.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing Officer to join our Innovation and Insight Team within the Giving Directorate. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to support the directorate's work, ensuring effective promotion of giving and fundraising initiatives. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of a strategic communications plan for the Giving Directorate.
- Deliver comprehensive communication to key stakeholders including Giving Advisors, Dioceses, and Churches, through, but not limited to, the management of Directorate websites and digital platforms.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns to promote giving and fundraising across the Church of England (e.g. Generosity Week)
- Develop and share a bank of case studies and examples of local impact, sharing the stories of what's happening on the ground.
- Act as a marketing consultant for the Parish Share Project, assisting dioceses in their communication with churches.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Digital Communications departments particularly, as well as other NCI departments, to align directorate efforts with the wider organizational strategy and to utilize national communication channels for Giving marketing campaigns.
- Alongside directorate members, partner with external agencies on joint campaigns (e.g. Farewill)
- Partner with the Senior Data Analyst, to conduct market research and analyse data to inform marketing and communication strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Giving Advisors, Churches, Cathedrals, and Dioceses. This will also incorporate the development of a new customer service portal.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in marketing and communication.
- Oversee the production of marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency and high-quality output, including the maintenance and creation of directorate brands and sub-brands and associated resources (e.g. powerpoint templates, promotional flyers)
- Provide regular reports and insights on campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- As part of the wider Directorate output, provide presentations where necessary to key-stakeholders including General Synod, Diocesan Consultation Forum, and the Giving Advisor Network.
- Offer support and training to members of the directorate and the wider giving network in how to adapt and utilise national resources.

Success in the role demands good understanding of the devolved nature of the Church of England, and the ability to work effectively across it. The post-holder will be expected to develop material and presentations that are consistent with Christian principles and theology, and as such, should be a member of the Church of England, or in sympathy with the mission and ethos of the Church.
The role may require travel throughout the UK and may also require occasional work on weekends. The role is based within a remote team and weekly travel can be expected during high delivery periods. The role is not based at Church House, but you will need to attend some meetings and training at Church House, and so must be willing to travel to London 1-2 times per month.

Role purpose
Adoption UK is undertaking a major digital transformation, initially focused on CRM and website development. We’re looking for a talented digital and data enthusiast to lead this transformation programme and subsequently oversee our ongoing digital development. You’ll refine and implement Adoption UK’s digital strategy, leading our digital transformation project to successful completion. Key accountabilities
- Lead the refinement and implementation of the charity’s digital strategy.
- Lead a project team to successfully deliver change in line with the agreed project timeline.
- Manage the governance and assurance framework for delivering our website and CRM digital transformation programme.
- Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation and with current and future digital partners. Use these networks to:

- Experience of building relationships with, engaging, and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Able to engage effectively with both technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Experience working at a senior level to deliver change or implement strategy.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to changing circumstances and tight timelines.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in an organisation that uses agile development methodologies.
- A strong understanding of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) principles and approach, and of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) principles, audit, and compliance.

About the Department
The Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership was set up in 2017 with the mission to 'develop inspirational leaders who are called, connected, committed to deliver the Church of England vision for education'. Since then, it has operated a wide range of leadership development programmes, networks, research, conference and events, and published a range of key leadership resources to equip school leaders at every level to put their vision into practice.
Part of this provision has been as a very successful national provider of NPQ programmes. Beginning in 2017 with the delivery of NPQs for Headteachers, our suite of programmes has now expanded to include programmes for Specialist Teachers, Senior Leaders and also Executive Leaders. More recently, a partnership between the Church of England and the Catholic Education Service is also enabling programmes to be delivered more widely as together our school provision represents around 34% of the sector.
In 2025, the department will launch three new national programmes: Flourishing Leaders, Flourishing Teachers, and Flourishing ECTs (in partnership with UCL). These programmes respond to growing demand for high-quality, values-led professional learning and represent a significant expansion of our work across the education sector.
About the role
We are seeking a Programme Officer who will support the Church of England Education Office's Professional Learning Team. The role is part of a wider team of Programme Officers who support a variety of functions across both the NPQ suite and the Flourishing programmes. Programme Officers work across different portfolios, supporting delivery through directly contracted Delivery Partners and via our National Programme delivered by the Education Office.
Working collaboratively, Programme Officers take on different areas of responsibility to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality programmes across the country. This role offers the opportunity to develop project management and programme delivery skills in a holistic and supportive environment.
Internal-facing Support
- Maintain the integrity of data within Salesforce and other systems. Trouble-shoot errors when seen.
- Support the effective programme management, launch and delivery of NPQs and Flourishing programmes.
- Lead on administrative tasks relating to the delivery of the programmes, including participant recruitment, onboarding and ongoing participant management (e.g. processing withdrawals and deferrals, supporting participant assessments).
- Provide event administration support, including scheduling, online meeting setup, and updating learning platforms (e.g. Blackboard).
- Assist with the preparation of reports on recruitment, engagement, and quality assurance.
- Provide administrative support across delivery functions, including inbox management, form creation, and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement by collecting and organising feedback from participants, facilitators, and partners to inform programme development and enhance delivery.
- Be prepared to work flexibly across the team, supporting different areas of programme delivery as needed to respond to changing priorities and ensure smooth operation.
External-facing Support
- Provide high-quality, courteous and caring first-line support for participant and partner queries via shared inboxes.
- Support the Learning Technology team with online event administration and technical support.
- Assist applicants and sponsors with the application process and IT-related queries.
- Use data systems, to identify and support Delivery Partners who have participants who are at risk of falling behind, in order for them to take swift action to ensure support is put in place and their participants are able to catch up in a timely manner.
- Support the onboarding and coordination of Coaches and Facilitators across all programmes.
- Act as the first point of contact in online sessions, supporting facilitators to use key features of Zoom and Teams (e.g. breakout rooms) and answer queries from participants, coaches and facilitators.
- Maintain accurate records of contractual milestones and deliverables for external partners.
- Liaise with Delivery Partners to ensure timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks and meeting of their contractual milestones.

Key Responsibilities
Legacies:
· To develop a comprehensive legacy fundraising strategy and workflow, in collaboration with the Director and the Fundraising Committee.
· To work with colleagues to raise the profile of legacy fundraising, including production of materials, social media content, website development, etc.
· Work across the charity to ensure legacies are integrated across relevant channels to reach key audiences
· Build a portfolio of case studies in conjunction with the Deputy Director to showcase how legacy giving has impacted the community
Trust and Grants
· Identify and research a pipeline of potential Trust and Grant funders to secure financial support for the charity
