Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for a Trust Executive to join an established fundraising team and play an important role in developing income from charitable trusts and foundations.

Working closely with the Trusts Manager and Head of High Value Relationships, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of small and mid level trusts, helping to secure income against agreed targets and supporting the wider trusts and foundations programme.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in trusts fundraising who enjoys research, writing and relationship building and is looking to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative fundraising environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage applications to small and mid level trusts, including prospect research, cultivation and applications.
• Research prospective trusts and foundations and build a strong pipeline of potential supporters.
• Identify opportunities to develop existing donor relationships and increase income through effective account development.
• Produce high quality and engaging funding applications, proposals, reports and other communications for trusts and trustees.
• Support the Trusts Manager with the administration and coordination of larger funding partnerships when required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure accurate and timely information is available for applications and reports.
• Maintain accurate records of trust income, expenditure and supporter activity using the CRM system.
• Ensure prospect pipelines, supporter engagement and fundraising activity are accurately recorded and maintained.
• Contribute to small trust mailings and wider fundraising communications.
• Support donor cultivation and fundraising events where appropriate.
• Ensure relevant processes and documentation are kept up to date.
• Undertake general administrative duties to support the effective delivery of the trusts programm

You will have:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to grammar, structure and detail.
• Experience of trusts fundraising, including prospect research and developing funding applications.
• Excellent proofreading and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with a systematic approach to your work.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and manage competing priorities.
• Strong research, investigative and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and external contacts.
• Experience using CRM databases and maintaining accurate records.
• An understanding of data entry and financial processing.
• A genuine commitment to the organisation's cause and the people it supports.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £38,399 per annum
• Contract type: Permanent, full-time
• Location: London, hybrid working , 2 days in the office
