This role is being advertised as a Shop Manager but on appointment your job title will be Community Shop Manager.

This role is a chance to bring bold ideas to life as well as being a manager giving you the chance to take creative control of visual merchandising within the shop.
If you have experience of leading a team whilst empowering and motivating individuals this could be the role for you!
About you
You will need to be an active team player and be able to demonstrate how you’ve managed and motivated a team previously beyond expectations and experience of providing excellent customer service in a face-to-face role.
Have a good knowledge of recruiting and developing a diverse team and how you have supported and motivated teams to progress and how you would bring these skills into this position.
You will need to have good communication skills to engage with the local community to seek out new opportunities to increase the shops contribution to help further Shelter’s cause. You will develop your own and your teams’ interests in merchandising the shop attracting customers and continually develop yours and your team’s knowledge of Shelter, who we are and what we do.

About the role
The Turn2us Programmes Team runs place-based programmes to address the symptoms of and tackles the causes of financial insecurity. The Barking and Dagenham Programme has been running for three years working across multiple locations in Barking and Dagenham to design solutions to financial insecurity with residents and convene local stakeholders to drive systems change. This role will continue to work in partnership with local organisations and residents to develop and manage an innovative, high impact programme of support that includes lived experience, grants, and information so that people living in financial insecurity have the opportunity to build financial security and thrive in the places where they live.
About you
We are looking for someone experienced in managing programmes with complex projects, partnerships, and power dynamics and key stakeholders across the social, public, and charitable sector.
The candidate should be a strong communicator, collaborative, and able to translate complex ideas values to diverse audiences, and skilled in people management. They should be knowledgeable in embedding principals of EDIB, safeguarding, and GDPR.
Candidates should have a proven track record of financial accountability and community-led or community action programmes through collaborative and co-produced approaches.
The candidate should be committed to social justice, accountability, driving change, and empowering communities.
We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. Please note that all employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 1 day a week.
Some roles may be required to be in the office more often than others and this will be agreed with the hiring manager upon starting at Turn2us.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated SEND Family Support Coordinator to join our Carers Support Service in Milton Keynes to play a vital role in supporting unpaid carers who look after children and adults with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and learning difficulties by reducing isolation, building resilience, and helping carers feel supported, connected, and empowered.
As a Family Support Coordinator, you will:
Educated to NVQ Level 3 or above in social work, health, education, or equivalent experience is essential. Experience of working with individuals and/or families with SEND and learning disabilities is desirable.
The salary for 21 hours per week is £15,910.49 per annum.
