About the role

Coram Children’s Legal Centre is looking for a new Paralegal to join our dedicated, friendly and highly experienced Immigration & Asylum team.

The successful candidate will assist solicitors and senior caseworkers in providing legal advice and representation to primarily legal aid funded clients, including children and young people, parents, carers and others in relation to their immigration & asylum needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people who is seeking to progress their legal aid career in the charity sector. Our immigration lawyers work closely with colleagues in other teams in the Legal Practice Unit (community care, family and education law), as well as with other departments within the Coram group, including Coram Voice and the Policy Team. As well as conducting casework for individuals, our immigration & asylum team undertakes strategic litigation for the wider benefit of children, young people and families, and has participated in several interventions in the higher courts.

The successful candidate should be highly organised and able to use their initiative to complete tasks independently, however we also offer excellent supervision and training opportunities, and we support all our employees in their career progression.

Role Summary:

The Programme Development Officer is responsible for ensuring that The Girls' Network develops high-quality, consistent, and impactful programmes for girls and young women across all regions. Working closely with the colleagues in the Programme team, volunteers, and education establishments, the post-holder will support the development and continuous improvement of our mentoring, workshop, and ambassador offer. They will ensure that programmes are grounded in best practice and aligned to organisational strategy. The role:

This role covers the current post-holder's maternity leave for an anticipated 15 months. As Financial Controller you will lead CSE's finance team, directing and overseeing the finance function in compliance with appropriate accounting standards and practices, company and charity law.

You will provide timely, accurate financial and management information to support strategic decision-making and effective budgetary control by our Senior Leadership Team, Trustees, project managers and other budget holders. You will line manage the Finance Manager and Finance Assistant and be a member of CSE's Senior Management Team.

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will work alongside the wider Operations Team to provide operational support that underpins delivery of our charitable mission. This is a fast-paced role and we need someone who can get up to speed with minimal delay.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Take responsibility for day-to-day accounting, invoicing, payroll, VAT returns, payments and banking, credit control and cash management, including timely monthly management accounts.
• Line manage the Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.
• Co-ordinate the annual budget cycle and mid-year budget refresh alongside the Director of Finance & Operations and SLT.
• Attend monthly SMT meetings to share the previous month's financial results and handle related queries.
• Prepare accurate, accessible reports on organisational, team, staff and project financial indicators to support timely decision-making.
• Maintain the organisation's financial records to appropriate accounting standards and prepare documentation for the annual audit and other statutory reporting.
• Liaise with CSE's auditors to enable an effective and timely annual audit.

Essential attributes for this role include:

• Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent accountant.
• At least seven years' post-qualification experience, including at least five years in a financial management role.

About the Role

This is a varied and influential role within the organisation's Networks and Engagement team, with responsibility for supporting regional volunteer networks across the UK and internationally, alongside the Young Engineers Network (YEN).

The position combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, ensuring regional and volunteer networks are effective, well-supported and positioned to maximise member engagement.

You will work closely with senior volunteers, committees and board members, while also managing and developing two direct reports.

This is not a committee administration role. Instead, you'll take ownership of ensuring volunteer networks are functioning effectively, identifying opportunities for improvement, leading strategic projects and helping shape the future structure of the orgnisation's regional engagement model.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic oversight and support to UK and international regional networks. Work closely with volunteer committees to ensure effective governance and engagement. Support and develop the Young Engineers Network (YEN). Lead strategic projects relating to volunteer engagement and network development. Review and improve the effectiveness of regional structures and ways of working. Build strong relationships with senior volunteers, board members and colleagues. Lead annual planning and activity processes across networks. Support membership growth, retention and engagement initiatives. Line manage and develop two team members. The Pool Worker role is responsible for providing high quality, person-centred housing related support to young people aged 16-25 who are leaving care, homeless, or at risk of homelessness. The post holder will work closely with service users to help them develop independent living skills, sustain accommodation, and achieve their goals in education, employment, training, and personal development. Key responsibilities include delivering support and safety planning, conducting one-to-one keywork sessions, maintaining accurate records, carrying out housing management duties such as rent collection and tenancy administration, and working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure service users receive coordinated and effective support. The role also promotes service user involvement, community engagement, and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures.

The Deputy Fitness Centre Manager is a role that is largely based on site (80:20 split) and the post holder will work a minimum of 14 hours per week at front of house, leading delivery. The Outreach Officer plays a key role in raising awareness of services, strengthening community

The British Academy – the UK’s national body for the humanities and social sciences - is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team in the Resources directorate, providing key financial support to business units within the Development team and our trading subsidiary Clio Enterprises Limited (Clio), whose primary purpose is venue sales in regard to our premises, 10-11 Carlton House Terrace.

The role

The Finance Business Partner role works closely with other members of the Finance team and in particular business partnering with colleagues from Venue Sales and Development. The Finance Team is a friendly team, part of the Academy’s Resources Directorate comprising Finance, HR, IT and Facilities along with Clio. We take great pride in supporting our colleagues in the Academy, providing an accurate and prompt service to all customers to the department. This is a key opportunity to establish relationships and make an early positive impact.

A core duty of the role is to take the lead in financial management and reporting for both Clio and the Development team. This will include:

• Providing financial analysis and advice and working with colleagues from each team to monitor performance, return on investment, and achieve key financial targets,
• Supporting milestone tasks such as budgeting, forecasting and financial statements.
• Understanding day-to-day operational transactions to cover periods of absence of other colleagues, including the import of sales data to the finance system and ownership of the debtor ledger.

You will have previous experience of working within a finance team in a similar role with an accounting qualification (AAT or similar) being preferable. You will have a keen attention to detail as well as a proactive approach to problem solving in terms of planning, prioritisation and demonstrating resilience when faced with adversity. You will also be an effective communicator, being able to collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders

Sheffield Cathedral is inviting applications for the role of Community Organiser, a new post within the Cathedral Resourcing Project, at an exciting moment in the Cathedral’s mission, civic life and partnership with communities across Sheffield.

At the heart of a changing and creative city, Sheffield Cathedral is both an ancient holy place and a living centre of worship, welcome, culture and public engagement. We are seeking to grow as a civic, relational and faith-rooted institution: not acting for communities from a distance, but acting with communities through trust, shared leadership and common action.

This new role is for a relational, disciplined and justice-minded organiser who can listen deeply, build trust across difference, identify and develop local leaders, and help people move from shared concern to collective action. Working in the Citizens UK tradition of broad-based community organising, the Community Organiser will help embed organising across the Cathedral, its parish partnerships and its civic relationships, contributing to the co-creation of Sheffield Citizens Alliance.
