We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work. Good social skills are essential as is the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative.  The ability to work closely with and relate well to all Cathedral staff, ministry team, congregation, volunteers, visitors, and members of the general public will also be required. 

The two Assistant Vergers and Precinct Officers carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of the Head Verger and Precinct Manager.  Work includes: the careful setting up and delivery of all liturgical matters; ensuring a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all working in, visiting, or using the Cathedral and Cathedral House and precinct and ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the Cathedral for all.

Essential experience and skills

• A flexible attitude and willingness to take on a range of duties including practical ‘hands- on’ work.
• Attention to detail and an ability to assess priorities including when under pressure.
• Understanding of liturgy or willingness to learn.
• Ability to be a good team player and work collaboratively with Ministry Team and Lay Staff.

• Have an open and welcoming attitude to all including volunteers and members of the general public.

Service Delivery
• Act as the main point of contact for all financial wellbeing and grants-related enquiries.
• Conduct research to provide up-to-date information and practical guidance to help unpaid carers maximise

• Deliver benefits checks using Money Helper tools and support carers in navigating the welfare system.
• Provide tailored financial guidance, signposting to appropriate services, and assisting carers with benefits

For the past 8 years, we’ve been delivering financial education programmes that set children up for life. But we have so much more to do to ensure no child misses out.

We will prioritise financial literacy in education and aim to increase funding for financial education programmes. We are looking for a relationship-driven Corporate Fundraiser to manage and grow our corporate partnerships and support our mission to improve financial education for children and young people across the UK.

This role will focus primarily on account management of existing corporate partners, most of whom are based in London and work within the financial services sector. Corporate partners support the charity through donations, participation in a collaborative supporter group, and employee volunteering.

A key part of the role will be coordinating our corporate volunteering programme, particularly school-based volunteering sessions where corporate employees deliver financial education workshops. You will manage the end-to-end process, working closely with corporate partners, schools and internal colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery.

You will also support new business development, helping to identify and secure new corporate partnerships, and will use Salesforce to manage relationships, pipelines and reporting.

We are looking for applicants with an excellent knowledge of spatial and ecological data analyses, and monitoring and GIS will be essential for this role. Our preference is for a candidate with experience in fieldwork and biodiversity conservation. You will have good communication skills, be able to work independently as well as in close collaboration with colleagues and be able to translate technical reports and assessments to a wide range of audiences. Playing a pivotal role in this transformation, the Head of Acquisition will drive sustainable income growth through innovative, data-driven acquisition campaigns targeting new supporters, donors, lottery players and legacy pledgers that deepen engagement and bring the charity’s brand story to life. You will have experience in developing strategic investment cases and multi-year acquisition strategies, grounded in data insight and performance engagement. About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator within Restless Development’s UK Fundraising team. The fundraising team’s income has grown year on year and there is huge potential to continue to grow this further and create impact at scale.

The Senior Fundraising Events Coordinator will be primarily working on the Schools Triathlon programme and managing all PR & social media comms, and also supporting on both merchandise and sponsor management. The Schools Triathlon is the UK’s largest fundraising and sporting event for children aged 7-13. Its aim is to encourage more children into sport while also teaching them the importance of fundraising. Over the years, the events have raised over £3.4m for Restless Development and local charities and over 9,000 children have taken part. We are aiming to deliver 15 events in 2026 and significantly expand the series.. 

We are looking for an energetic team-player, proactive individual with great interpersonal skills who is happy to learn and get stuck in. 

Key responsibilities

Deliver and event manage high-quality Schools Triathlon events in 2026 and beyond 

• Throughout September to February, present assemblies for the Schools Triathlon to inspire school-age pupils to sign up and take part in the Schools Triathlon series, and motivate them to fundraise by delivering a fun and engaging presentation.
• Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders from host schools throughout the year, in person and online; as well as with participating schools through the delivery of assemblies and in comms prior to the event day. 
• Work with our event delivery partners to deliver 15 events throughout April, May and June 2026, ensuring that the event logistics, host school requirements, participant details are finalised and managing host school relations.
• Respond to enquiries from parents and guardians on our dedicated inbox and mobile phone when needed.
• Develop a good working relationship with the Triathlon Committee, made up of Restless Development staff and volunteers, while still keeping the appropriate members informed and bringing in support as and when needed.
• Update on relevant KPIs and income where needed
• Support the Senior Fundraising Manager with recruitment of regional volunteers when needed

Schools Triathlon social media & PR 

• Lead on all social media activity for the Schools Triathlon across  our social media channels
• Lead on liaising with external PR and Host school stakeholders to deliver exceptional PR across the Schools Triathlon event series
• Lead on being the main contact for all Host School marketing teams, ensuring effective working relationships are in place and maintained to an excellent standard
• Report monthly on KPIs, ensuring effective tracking for social engagement across all channels
• Work closely with the Comms team, to ensure best working practices and collaboration is in place
• Together with the Head of Fundraising, lead on the drafting and development of the Schools Triathlon parent comms

• Manage the Schools Triathlon website, ensuring that it is up to date and relevant.

We are looking for an exceptional, value-driven candidate who can hit the ground running as our Legal Education Officer, working closely with the Director and the rest of our small and dynamic Right to Remain team.

The person must be someone who understands the Right to Remain ethos and is prepared to bring their whole self to our organisation. Needless to say, the role requires an impeccable grasp of the asylum and immigration system and its operation on the ground, including how it impacts our community of people seeking asylum, refugees, migrants, their families, friends and allies. You will be working closely with the Director and the rest of our small and dynamic Right to Remain staff team: another Legal Education Officer based in Leeds (generally) covering the North, the Organiser based in Manchester leading our mighty These Walls Must Fall, and the Engagement Officer based in London. Context and Background

The NSPCC's mission is to end cruelty to children. In order to carry out its charitable work, we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of its annual income. Within Income Generation, our aim is to provide maximum resources for the NSPCC and children by working together to create the best possible donor experience by building long -term relationships to create a supporter experience which is different, better and more rewarding than that of supporting any other charity.

The Mass Participation Team (MPT) is an important part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships department within the Engagement and Fundraising directorate. MPT is responsible for attracting new supporters through our mass participation events and products to maximise fundraised income, and to optimise onward journeys to retain supporters within the NSPCC family.

The Mass Participation Team focuses on three areas of fundraising;

• Third party events – sporting and challenge events organised by third party suppliers, where we market spaces, recruit participants and support them in raising money in aid of the NSPCC. For example, the TCS London Marathon, Cardiff Half Marathon, Ultra Challenge series, skydives, bespoke treks.
• Schools Fundraising – a suite of fundraising products tailored to schools across all educational settings, including Number Day, the Kindness Challenge and Classmaster.
• DIY fundraising – supporters who choose to organise their own fundraising event or activity. Whether they take part with family or friends, at work or at school, we support them through stewardship and fundraising materials to help them reach their fundraising goals.

Job purpose

The role of the Fundraiser is to manage a number of events in the third party events portfolio. The Fundraiser will be responsible for working as a proactive member of the team to ensure that the participation levels and net income from each event/activity are maximised. The key aspects of the role are:

• To project manage specific event activities, co -ordinate cross fundraising activity, develop materials, keep track of budgets and evaluate as appropriate

Content Designer, Digital Team.

4 Fixed-term contract roles: 2 contracts of 23 months, 2 contracts of 12 months.

This is an exciting opportunity to join The National Lottery Community Fund as a Content Designer.

You’ll mostly work on content to help people understand and apply for funding. This includes content for our website, as well as for application forms, emails and other guidance. You’ll also have the opportunity to help improve our content and user experience across the whole service.

You'll be part of our Digital team. We’re a multi-disciplinary team, working to user-led design principles. You’ll work with other designers, researchers, developers, and colleagues from the rest of the Fund to design content that meets user needs and reflects our values.

You’ll join a thriving group of designers who love sharing knowledge and experience. We’ll offer you support to widen your design skills, and opportunities to take part in training and communities of practice.

The responsibilities of the job include:

• designing and writing clear, user-focused content
• using research, feedback, and analytics to inform and improve content
• working collaboratively with designers, developers, and researchers
• collaborating with colleagues outside our team who do not have a user-centred design background
• making sure content meets accessibility standards
• building and deploying content on our website content management system
• contributing to our design community

Interview Details

Interview Date: 25, 26 February and 2, 4 March 2026

Format: Virtual interview

Location: Hybrid working, anywhere in the UK. Choice of home or office working (offices in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, or Newtown). Some in person meetings, including quarterly away days across UK locations.
