About the role
There are 2 Policy Officer roles in the Health and Care Policy team available. The team focuses on shaping the future of the health and social care system in the UK to ensure the best care for all, by supporting more evidence-informed policy and decision-making. One officer will work across a range of thematic areas, and one will focus initially on technology and AI, with the opportunity to work across other areas further down the line. The Policy Officer will work on a mix of short and longer-term projects, including supporting in-house policy analysis and research, as well as helping to scope and develop ideas for externally commissioned research. This will involve a range of different approaches, including synthesising qualitative and quantitative research evidence; analysing policy documents and grey literature; qualitative methods such as key informant interviews and thematic analysis; and other approaches involved in policy-focused research. Reporting to the Grants Compliance Manager, you'll lead the financial management of your own portfolio of grants, supporting due diligence assessments, reviewing financial reports and budgets, monitoring compliance, and helping to strengthen the financial management capacity of Grantee Partners. You'll work closely with colleagues across the Grants Support Team, Finance, Operations and Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation, providing practical advice and support throughout the grant lifecycle.
AmplifyChange is a bilingual fund, and this role has a particular focus on supporting French-speaking Grantee Partners across Africa, South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Fluency in spoken and written French is therefore essential.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines financial analysis, relationship management and organisational strengthening. You'll build trusted relationships with Grantee Partners while helping to safeguard grant funding and support the delivery of high-quality projects.
The role includes some international travel to visit Grantee Partners and support compliance activities will be required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Brief role description
The Nova Support Team (NST) Client Advisor plays a key role in the NOVA Support Team, acting as the first point of contact for veterans who have served in the UK armed forces and are at risk of, or are involved in, the criminal justice system. They provide timely initial advice, guidance and support, assess individual needs and connect veterans to appropriate services.
The role includes receiving and triaging referrals, making prompt first contact, completing initial registrations and maintaining accurate and detailed records on the case management system to support effective casework.
Who we're looking for
We are seeking a compassionate and people-focused individual who can build trust and communicate clearly while supporting veterans with a range of complex needs.
You will have experience and guiding and supporting individuals with strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to provide accurate advice and direction. You will also be highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases effectively while handling sensitive information with professionalism and care.
You will be proactive, IT confident and able to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will also bring an understanding of the justice system, experience using Salesforce, or a similar CRM system, and a resilient, adaptable approach.
This is a fixed term position for about 2 years. The contract end date will be confirmed at the offer stage.
