What You’ll Be Leading

You’ll take charge of a portfolio packed with exciting community and third‑party events, from 5K (and maybe 10K!) runs to large‑scale challenge experiences. Working closely with the Senior Community Fundraising Manager, you’ll help shape our events calendar, influence key decisions, and constantly push performance to the next level.

About the job

This is a great opportunity for a proactive and passionate person who lives in the mid/north of the county to empower and amplify the voices of parent carers across West Sussex. You will help deliver events and activities, encourage parent carers to get involved, especially those whose voices are less often heard, and provide friendly, accessible information and signposting to families. You will be a ‘people-person’ with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to plan and prioritise your own work.

 This is a part‑time, flexible, hybrid role where lived experience really matters.

Ace of Clubs is at an exciting stage of growth, with increasing impact across our services. To continue delivering high-quality support to people experiencing homelessness—while ensuring long-term financial sustainability—we are seeking a dedicated Funding and Finance Co-ordinator.

This is a pivotal role, supporting the co-ordination and administration of our income, fundraising activity, financial management, cost efficiency, impact data, and funding reporting. You will contribute directly to the organisation’s sustainability, growth, and financial accountability, working closely with our Volunteer Treasurer and the Director - who provides strategic oversight whilst remaining actively involved in the day-to-day operations. 

You will help co-ordinate and develop a range of income streams and funding projects, including individual giving, community fundraising, events, corporate partnerships, and trusts and foundations. The role also involves supporting new fundraising opportunities, monitoring impact and fundraising data, stewarding donors through engagement and communications, and assisting with funding applications and reporting.

Alongside this, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial administration of the charity. This includes tracking income across multiple platforms, monitoring expenditure, and producing reports to support forecasting and strategic planning.

You will also support the administration and review of core organisational contracts, such as utilities, insurance, IT, and HR, helping to ensure value for money and operational efficiency.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and partners, you will help gather and present impact data across our services, tailoring this for both internal use and external stakeholders.

This is a varied and rewarding role, suited to a highly organised administrator with strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel), excellent written and numerical ability, and a keen eye for detail. You should be comfortable working with data and finances, whilst also engaging confidently with a wide range of people—including donors, partners, volunteers, and guests. An understanding of, and empathy with, the homelessness sector is essential.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. About this role

This role is a 12‑month maternity cover, supporting an important phase of delivery and development within the Philanthropy team. The postholder will work closely with colleagues to maintain momentum in new business activity while contributing to strategic account management and stewardship. 

The Head of Development is a senior role within the Philanthropy Team, with a primary focus on new business development. This includes identifying, cultivating and securing new funding relationships across trusts, foundations, corporates, co‑investment partners and high‑net‑worth individuals. 

Alongside new business delivery, the role also provides strategic account management for a small portfolio of high-value partners, ensuring smooth transitions from acquisition into long term stewardship. 

This role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy, with both roles contributing to the success of the Philanthropy Team. The Head of Philanthropy leads on deep stewardship and retention, while the Head of Development focusses on new income generation and building relationships with new funders and partners. 

The postholder will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Philanthropy Directors as well as Senior Research and Insights Manager, contributing specialist expertise, strong delivery and sound judgement, while operating within agreed strategy and governance frameworks.

​Key responsibilities:

New business development

• Support the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships and Development Director on the development and delivery of the new business plan in line with the fundraising strategy
• Works with the Senior Research and Insights Manager to identify emerging funding trends, opportunities, market opportunities and best practice
• In collaboration with the Development Director and Growth and Insights Director, lead the delivery of agreed cultivation strategies for priority prospects, proactively progressing relationships from qualification through to solicitation and conversion, leveraging senior stakeholders, board members, donor advocates and wider networks
• Develop and deliver compelling cultivation strategies and tailored pitch plans for priority prospects, including designing and building new donor acquisition vehicles (e.g. committees, cultivation events and targeted communications), working collaboratively with colleagues across Impetus
• Lead and support high-level meetings, pitches and negotiations with prospective donors, positioning Impetus as a credible and strategic partner
• Work with trustees, senior leaders and pro bono supporters to leverage networks and secure introductions to new prospects

• A strong track record of raising six-figure+ philanthropic income from grant-making trusts and foundations, corporate foundations and/or individual donors, including experience with high-net-worth individuals
• Proven ability to lead and deliver the full fundraising cycle, from prospecting and cultivation through to solicitation, stewardship and renewal
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning and delivery skills, with the ability to generate ideas, translate them into practical account plans, and execute them effectively

Artsreach is Dorset’s touring arts charity, presenting a programme of professional theatre, dance, music and participatory activity in rural communities of the county. The Marketing & Communications Officer will play a key role in raising the profile of Artsreach. By immersing yourself in our communities, our programme and the stories behind our work, you will create compelling content and build narratives that effectively communicate who we are and the impact we make to audiences, artists, funders and partners.

You will lead the planning and delivery of audience‑focused marketing and communications activity that increases awareness and strengthens engagement. This includes developing clear communications strategies, producing compelling digital and print content, and managing press, social media and other digital platforms.

A key part of the role is storytelling: gathering data, case studies and evidence of impact from across our programmes, and shaping these into accessible, persuasive communications that speak to the needs of our audience, volunteers, supporters and funders. Working within a small team can at times be highly pressurised, so we require someone who can adapt quickly and contribute positively to a supportive and collaborative working culture. This role will suit an individual with strong experience in cultural marketing, who can bring fresh ideas, confidence with digital tools, and a commitment to widening access to the arts across rural communities.

Refugee Action Kingston (RAK) is seeking an experienced and compassionate ESOL Coordinator to support our Community Hub Project. You will coordinate ESOL volunteers and resources, manage referrals and assessments to place users in classes, and administer registrations using RAK systems. Working closely with the Community Hub Manager, you will help deliver a blended ESOL programme that supports community integration, confidence and language development for refugees and people seeking asylum.

Key responsibilities 

• Coordinate ESOL referrals, assessments, attendance and class allocations. 

• Welcome service users and communicate class information and reminders. 

• Induct, support and coordinate ESOL volunteers. 

• Support lesson planning and learner engagement in ESOL and wider community opportunities. 

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation. 

• Ensure Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and safeguarding policies are followed.

Essential 

• Recognised ESOL/EFL qualification or equivalent. 

• Experience working with refugees, people seeking asylum or vulnerable adults.

The Regional Fundraiser is responsible for delivering sustainable net income through a variety of income streams across a hospice catchment area in line with fundraising strategy.

The post holder delivers locally tailored activity, building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, community groups, businesses and volunteers to grow income and engagement.
Working closely with the Regional Fundraising Team Manager and colleagues, the role contributes to planning, delivery and mitigation across key income streams.

As an ambassador, representing the charity within the local community, promoting collaboration across hospice, retail and fundraising teams.
The role ensures excellent supporter stewardship, accurate data management and compliant fundraising practice.

Through excellent supporter care, compliant practice and flexible cross-team collaboration, the Regional Fundraiser drives net income and supports the long-term sustainability and reputation of Sue Ryder.

About you:
• Experience of using a fundraising CRM to manage activity.
• Ability to contribute to a collaborative team culture
• An excellent networker, capable of developing relationships with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.

Essential Criteria
• Experience of successfully delivering activity in line with fundraising strategy.
• Experience of delivering net income, ideally across a variety of income streams including corporate, in memory, events (third-party and staff led) high value (£5k+), community groups and volunteer-led activity.
• Experience of forming, nurturing and maintaining relationships within local communities including individuals, groups and associations to deliver growth in income

About the role

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Finance Officer to join our small and welcoming team. What you’ll be doing

Finance & grants support

• Looking after day‑to‑day bookkeeping using Xero, including accurate coding of transactions

• Reconciling bank accounts and Barclaycard statements each month

• Setting up and maintaining supplier and donor records, including bank details

• Supporting colleagues with ApprovalMax, Coretime and timesheet processing

• Reviewing staff and volunteer expenses to make sure they follow our policies

• Preparing supplier payment runs for review

• Helping set up project codes, tracking categories and staff rates

• Supporting grants administration, including budget monitoring and donor reporting

• Pulling together financial information and evidence for audits and funder reports

• Working closely with the Finance Manager on reporting, reconciliations and planning

General & team support

• Being part of the Finance & Operations team, helping colleagues with systems and IT queries

• Working with our external IT support when needed

• Contributing ideas to improve how we work across finance, HR, IT and office processes

• Getting involved in team events and wider organisational activities

• Pitching in with other admin tasks as needed — we’re a small team and support each other

About you

You’re approachable, well‑organised and comfortable working with numbers and systems. You enjoy helping others, take pride in doing things accurately, and are happy juggling a range of tasks. You will be confident, with the ability to seek out and solve problems on your own initiative, whilst working within a supportive framework.

You’ll need:

• An AAT Level 2 qualification or equivalent hands‑on finance experience

• At least one year’s experience in a finance or accounting role

• Experience using accounting software such as Xero or Sage

• Good Excel and general IT skills

Through community development we work in close collaboration with our Parkinson’s communities to bring change on the issues that matter most to people affected by Parkinson’s - whether directly or with their friends, family and carers.

• Provide first point of contact for new people affected by Parkinson’s wanting to engage with our community facing work in Hull and East Riding

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings for our community development work across Hull and East Riding

• Support the development of new activities with our community in Hull and East Riding, by establishing contact with other organisations and individuals in the area

• Promote and market activities in local areas to ensure our community are aware of all the offers available to support them

• Engage directly and attend meetings of groups, branches, cafes, physical activity programmes in Hull and East Riding to ensure they are delivered effectively and we meet the needs of those people delivering and attending them
