The Route to a Million Campaign

This is an exciting time for First Give, as we seek to expand and diversify our fundraising streams into Corporate and HNWI. To support this, we are launching the Route to A Million campaign in March, aiming to raise an additional £1.5 million over the next 3 years on top of our forecast income. The campaign is supported by a newly recruited campaign board, and the new Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships will spearhead the work required to achieve this target.

Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships

We are seeking a dynamic, strategic and entrepreneurial Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to supercharge First Give’s next phase of income growth. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our mission, offering the opportunity to shape and deliver a multi‑year fundraising strategy that fuels real, measurable impact for young people and society as a whole. First Give is a small charity, with a growing fundraising team and big ambitions. Following a successful application to the Henry Smith Foundation we are seeking a passionate, committed and flexible Support Worker (35 hours per week) to join our team to support young people and families, primarily focusing on LGBTQ+ young people but working with the wider team to ensure all young people and families are supported.

The main aims of the post are to ensure:

• The charity delivers quality information, advice, guidance and advocacy services which improve outcomes for LGBTQ+ young people in Calderdale & Kirklees.
• LGBTQ+ young people who face additional access barriers are reached and given the opportunity to engage with the service, reducing their isolation and loneliness.

The above would be achieved through group work, youth groups, parent and family groups, 121 work, attending professional meetings such as Team Around The Family and Child In Need meetings, mediating between families and schools, networking, stand events such as Pride’s and Freshers events, offsite activities and family support sessions.

This is a service user and public facing role. The successful candidate will be expected to attend sessions, meetings and events across in Calderdale & Kirklees

The right candidate will have:

• JNC Level 3 Youth and Community Work qualification or a willingness to undertake training. We welcome applicants with equivalent qualifications and experience in relevant sectors inclusive of child care, teaching, social work, nursing etc (or due to complete 2026 - 2027).

• A minimum 12-months experience of working with children, young people aged 25 and under and/or families

Purpose of the Job: 

The Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) drives income growth by securing high-value, multi-year corporate partnerships. With new business separated from account management, and as The Felix Project moves through its merger with FareShare to form a larger national food redistribution network, the role requires a strategic, results-driven specialist who can build a robust pipeline, develop compelling propositions and convert interest into significant private-sector income. Working within the wider Income Generation Team, the post-holder collaborates across all fundraising streams to ensure opportunities are aligned and maximised. 

The role leads prospect research, pitch development, early-stage cultivation, income forecasting and CRM accuracy, and ensures a smooth transition of secured partners into account management. The role also works with senior leaders, including the CEO and Trustees, to unlock major opportunities linked to the merger and the organisation’s expanding national profile.
 

Additionally, the post-holder will build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, engaging with key internal stakeholders such as the CEO and Trustees to identify and cultivate funding opportunities. The role may require evening and weekend work to attend networking or corporate partner event and to support fundraising events. 

Duties & Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Statutory Fundraising Manager to lead and grow our statutory income at a pivotal time for Sense. Statutory fundraising is a key growth area, and this role will shape our approach to securing funding from government bodies, lottery funders and public sector partners.

You’ll bring:

• Proven success securing income from statutory and lottery funders, including six-figure grants (seven-figure desirable).
• Experience developing funding proposals aligned to organisational strategy, including monitoring and evaluation frameworks.

As Director of Income & External Affairs, you will be a key member of our Leadership Team, working closely with colleagues across the charity and with our Board. You will lead the growth of sustainable income, develop powerful and values-led partnerships, strengthen our public voice, and help shape a policy and advocacy agenda grounded in the experiences of people facing financial hardship. You will also play a vital role in building trust, credibility and influence across sectors to help shift the systems that keep people locked in financial insecurity.

We are looking for an exceptional and values-driven leader with a strong track record in relationship-based income generation, partnerships and influence. This experience may come from the charity sector or a commercial environment. We are looking for an experienced parks, heritage or cultural attraction professional to provide project management expertise on the prioritisation, planning, development, and delivery of a range of capital projects as part of the regeneration of Crystal Palace Park.

You will have a strong understanding of heritage sites, buildings and landscape, particularly in relation to design, construction and conservation, visitor experience, and accessibility.

New projects will likely include the refurbishment of historic venues such as the Concert Platform, Museum and future phases of the Subway restoration alongside exciting new capital developments aimed at enhancing the visitor experience.

Working closely with the Trust’s Senior Leadership Team, trustees and the London Borough of Bromley’s Regeneration Team, you will ensure that all capital investment is protected, delivered to a high standard and achieves value for money, as well as ensuring ongoing compliance and maintenance is integrated and managed effectively by the park management team.

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people. 

About the role

Young Roots is looking for a proactive, values-driven Head of Youth Work to shape our life-changing youth work services for young refugees and asylum seekers. This is a rare opportunity to take strategic ownership of a high-impact service, influence organisational direction as part of our Leadership Group, and work alongside inspiring young people and passionate colleagues.

You need significant experience leading a face-to-face service for people facing complex challenges (for example in youth services, homelessness, mental health or refugee support). You’ll bring strong safeguarding expertise, excellent people leadership and programme management skills, and a track record of developing high-quality, inclusive services.

In this role you will:

• Set a clear and ambitious vision for youth work at Young Roots
• Lead and support Youth Work Managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Champion youth participation and co-production
• Ensure services are safe, compliant, and impactful
• Build partnerships and help shape new projects and funding
