About Axiom Maths
Axiom Maths is a maths education charity on a mission to help every child with the heart and head for maths realise the potential of their power - especially those whose potential is too often held back by disadvantage. Every year 30,000 children who were top performers at the end of primary school don’t go on to get top GCSE grades in maths. You will typically lead a minimum of 3 maths circles per week, where available. You will be working with our regional School Partnerships team who will support with the schools you are working in and keep you connected with what is happening across the region. Your schools will have a designated contact who will offer insights and guidance to help your maths circles thrive. There are no mandatory set hours, but the role is best suited to candidates available between 3:00pm-5pm on at least 3 weekdays. You can indicate any regular unavailability in your application.
Applications: Please note, your application must include the video submission to be considered.
The duties of this role include
Prepare for each session: Watch the introductory video, work through the problems yourself, read the guidance notes and think about how you'll draw the maths out of your pupils.
Lead the Axiom Maths curriculum: Lead sessions that spark curiosity, stretch thinking, and challenge and inspire.
Build a community of mathematicians: Help pupils see themselves as mathematicians and feel part of a larger network of like-minded peers supporting each other
Develop in-school connections: Work closely with in-school staff to tailor your maths circle to their school context and to meet pupil needs
Reporting and feedback:
• Report weekly on pupils' attendance and share feedback on curriculum resources so we can keep improving them together
• Report to schools how your pupils are progressing as mathematicians
• Complete mentor surveys to help shape the programme

About Us
Head and neck cancer is one of the fastest-rising cancers in the UK, now affecting around 14,000 people every year — the 5th most common cancer among men, 7th overall, and the fastest growing among young people. Too often, symptoms are missed or misunderstood, and more than half of cases are diagnosed at a late stage. That means compromised survival rates, more invasive treatment, and a recovery that can mean a new way of eating, speaking and living.
Oracle Head & Neck Cancer UK exists to change that story. We work to prevent cancers where possible, drive earlier detection, and make sure people have clear information, support and guidance through and after treatment — so nobody has to cope in silence or confusion. We also fund groundbreaking research and collaborate across the sector to maximise our impact for patients.
As the only national charity dedicated to head and neck cancers, we're moving in an exciting new direction — and we have a unique opportunity to build an organisation that delivers maximum impact for patients and their families, while staying true to our roots.
The Role
We're looking for a Trusts, Foundations and Corporate Fundraiser to join our small, ambitious team. We are looking for someone adaptable and hands-on, willing to engage fully with the breadth of activity a small charity requires. We are committed to pushing boundaries on behalf of our patient community, and we value candidates who demonstrate innovative thinking and the confidence to act on opportunities as they arise.
We offer a competitive salary and remote working, as well as a generous annual leave allowance and professional development and mentorship opportunities.
