Job description

Programme Trainer – Greater Manchester

Money Ready is dedicated to creating a financially fluent population, and our trainers are the ones who bring that to life in the room. We’re looking for a confident and engaging Programme Trainer to join our North team, delivering financial education to young people, adults and professionals across Greater Manchester and the wider North Hub.

You’ll work predominantly with young adults and adults, including care-leavers, young mums and refugees, with the chance to deliver to children too. You’ll represent Money Ready’s programme quality in a wide range of settings, adapting your delivery to meet the needs of the people in front of you and helping learners work towards accreditation.

Our trainers come from all sorts of backgrounds, including former teachers and youth workers, and you don’t need to be a financial education expert on day one. We’ll train you on everything you need to know. What matters most is a genuine commitment to the welfare of the people you’re working with, and the confidence to adapt on your feet.

What the role involves:

Delivering Money Ready’s programmes across a variety of settings, supporting learners towards accreditation and adapting your style to diverse groups. Building relationships with delivery partners across your patch and spotting new opportunities to grow our work, with an initial focus on courses for vulnerable young adults. Contributing to programme development, sharing insight from delivery to help shape our content as we move towards a co-creation approach. Acting as an ambassador for Money Ready with funders, local authorities and the wider education community. Working closely with colleagues across the country and investing in your own development through our internal training offer.

Key details:

  • Hybrid working, ideally based in or able to travel regularly to the Greater Manchester area, with some delivery across the wider North Hub and a particular focus on the North East
  • Part time, 22.5 hours per week
  • Fixed-term contract, 18 months, with a possibility of extension subject to funding
  • Salary of £30,250 FTE per annum
  • All delivery-related travel is covered
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products; experience with a CRM system (we use Salesforce) is helpful, or a willingness to learn
  • Achieved, or willing to work towards, a Level 3 AET or equivalent
  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and a criminal record check (PVG)

Key dates:

  • Online Q&A with Hayley Coyne: Monday 28 September, 3.30pm. Register here
  • Application deadline: midnight on Thursday 8 October 2026
  • Round 1 interviews: week commencing 19 October (online)
  • Round 2 interviews: 3 and 4 November (in person, Manchester, venue TBC)
