The Refuge & Accommodation Services Senior Caseworker supports the Refuge & Accommodation Services Manager in the operational delivery of LBWP's refuge and dispersed accommodation services.

The postholder provides first-line line management, supervision and practice leadership to Refuge & Accommodation Caseworkers and Child Specialists, ensuring women and children receive high-quality, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support.

Alongside managing a team of Caseworkers, the postholder may hold a reduced caseload of women with more complex support needs, oversee day-to-day operational issues, monitor the quality of casework and safeguarding practice, and support the Manager to ensure accommodation services are safe, effective and meet organisational and contractual standards. The post is based in Haringey with an expectation to work across Newham when it is required.  This is a 0.5 role wiht a possibilty to  be full time subject to funding.

The Senior Caseworker deputises for the Refuge & Accommodation Services Manager in their absence where appropriate.

Part time: 35 hours a week pro rata, This  requiring three days a week and is likely to extend  to full time subject to funding.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Line Management

• Line manage a team of Refuge & Accommodation Caseworkers and Child Specialists, providing regular supervision, case management oversight, performance reviews, wellbeing support and development in line with LBWP policies.

Main Responsibilities
 

Strategic Leadership and Function Management
 

·   Lead the Trust’s data and digital function, aligning work with organisational priorities, the NBN Atlas strategy, and the wider Operating Plan.

·   Provide strategic advice to the CEO and senior colleagues on delivery priorities, service development, digital risk, technical resilience, and future investment needs.

·   Translate complex technical, delivery, and service development issues into clear options, trade-offs, and recommendations for the CEO, Executive Team, Board, and relevant committees.

Partnerships, Income Development and External Engagement
 

·   Build and manage relationships with key partners, data providers, heritage and conservation organisations, public bodies, consultancies, funders, and prospective service users.

·   Knowledge of biodiversity data infrastructure, environmental data, heritage data, or closely related fields would be beneficial, but is not essential if the candidate can learn quickly and lead credibly.

Job Title: Primary Futures Project Manager (Maternity Cover)

Reports to: Head of School Programmes

Location: The role is open to hybrid or fully remote working but the candidate would be expected to be able to occasionally travel to schools within the funded project areas (including Westminster, Chester and Lancashire) and attend occasional meetings at the charity’s offices located at Quantum House, 22 – 24 Red Lion Court, Fleet Street, EC4A 3AB.

Purpose: Are you an experienced project manager with knowledge of the primary education sector who can confidently lead an exciting funded project for 12 months, helping children broaden their horizons and discover their futures? This is a fantastic opportunity to take on the role of Primary Futures Project Manager for Education and Employers charity supporting the delivery of our internationally recognised career-related learning programme in primary schools. The programme is called Inspiring the Future and is known as Primary Futures in primary schools.

Through our programmes, our charity brings inspiring volunteers from the world of work into schools, helping children learn in a fun way about a wide range of future jobs and career pathways, broadening their horizons and raising their aspirations and attainment. School activity sits at the heart of our charity’s mission which is to: ‘ensure that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, has the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers to hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work’.

This important role will manage and lead the day-to-day delivery of a key primary school focused project for the charity, funded by the Westminster Foundation. The role

Saferworld is seeking an experienced Programme Development Manager to join our Funding & Programme Development Team. The Programme Development Manager will support a portfolio of Saferworld’s teams in co-designing and mobilising funding for peace, security and justice programmes alongside Saferworld’s partners. Working closely with Regional Directors, Country Managers, and programme and grant management colleagues, the post-holder will lead on: coordinating and facilitating programme co-design processes (including taking the lead in facilitating co-design, processes, drafting high quality concept notes and proposals, theories of change, logical models, risk matrixes and budgets); developing and supporting the implementation of long-term country funding strategies; and supporting new donor engagement and sustaining relationships with current donors. The post-holder will be responsible for managing funding portfolios across institutional and non-institutional donors in our programmes.

The post-holder will have a successful track record in developing programmes and leading new business development efforts with institutional donors such as Global Affairs Canada (GAC), the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the European Union (EU), UN agencies and European Governments such as Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
