Insights and Research Officer
Founded in 2010 by His Majesty King Charles III, then The Prince of Wales, The Royal Countryside Fund’s vision is of a thriving countryside – a living landscape of working family farms and prosperous rural life, built on connections and relationships – which in turn shapes rural places, creating vibrant, sustainable communities. The Royal Countryside Fund was established in recognition of the unprecedented pace of social, economic and environmental change contributing to the countryside’s steady decline, with rural incomes falling, a loss of local services and amenities, rising costs for farmers, increasing isolation and mental health issues. We are working to accelerate our scale and reach, so far we’ve supported over 5,300 farming families and invested more than £12.7million in over 550 rural community led projects addressing business, environmental, and social issues. Whether it’s through farming support or rural projects were all about bringing people together and making changes that last.

This includes improving data structures and reporting systems, working with colleagues across the charity to build their confidence in developing baseline information, supporting monitoring and with the Communications & Learning Manager hold regular learning conversations to lead on the charity’s evidence-driven ambitions – ensuring the organisation and staff team not only understands what it is achieving but can demonstrate and communicate it with confidence.
