The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive the very best care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres, to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.

The varied role sits within the Volunteer Board Fundraising team which leads income generation through regional and national volunteer boards, volunteer-led fundraising initiatives and delivery of special events through our high value event committees.

Job purpose

Do you have experience managing paid digital acquisition campaigns? Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a Senior Individual Giving Executive to join our acquisition team.
With a focus on paid digital, DRTV and telemarketing campaigns, this is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in fundraising, direct marketing or campaign management to work across a range of acquisition channels and help recruit new supporters to our Regular Giving and Lottery programmes.
Salary
The salary for this position is £38,692 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day delivery of regular giving and lottery campaigns to recruit new supporters.
- Develop campaign briefs and work with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver campaigns on time and to budget.

About the Team
This role sits within the Committed Giving Team, which is responsible for the acquisition and retention of regular giving supporters. The team work across 3 key areas; Acquisition (Paid Digital and offline channels), Direct Dialogue Acquisition (Face to Face channels) and Stewardship. The team work closely together with the shared aim of delivering exceptional supporter experience and raising the reliable income the hospital needs to help provide extraordinary care for seriously ill children and their families.

You will be part of a newly formed Technology team of developers, testers, and product specialists, working closely with brilliant colleagues to improve processes, manage donor data, and deliver innovative solutions.
This role suits someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can support end users with technical issues and requests while managing multiple initiatives with ease.
You will need an understanding of fundraising processes and donor management, experience with CRM systems like Dynamics 365, familiarity with campaign management and reporting tools such as Excel or Power BI, and ideally a background in application support or not-for-profit organisations.
You’ll enjoy the variety of moving between reactive support and proactive delivery, helping shape the future of our fundraising systems while working alongside a clever and supportive team.

About the role
As our Fundraiser, you will help us develop and deliver a practical fundraising plan to support the charity’s continued growth. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Fundraising, the Senior Programme Fundraising Manager will play a central role in strengthening programme fundraising capacity across country teams and the global fundraising function. With a particular focus on institutional fundraising, you'll provide technical leadership to support country directors and in-country fundraising colleagues to build high-quality donor engagement, develop and progress funding opportunities, and manage donor compliance across the full funding cycle. You'll line manage country-based fundraising roles (currently across Moldova, Kenya and Ukraine), helping to build strong pipelines, shape fundable propositions, coordinate high-quality proposal development, and ensure excellent stewardship, reporting and internal alignment across systems and sign-off processes.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in institutional and/or programme funding, with a demonstrable track record of developing compelling proposals and managing funder requirements and compliance. You'll be confident advising and influencing senior stakeholders, providing donor intelligence and engagement support (including with UNICEF offices, bilateral donors, UN agencies and EU actors), and translating complex programme work into clear, credible and fundable narratives.
