About the Role 

We are looking for a Social Media and Engagement Officer with a genuine passion for conversation, connection, and community. This is not a broadcasting role — it’s about dialogue. You’ll be the voice of St John International across our social media channels, engaging with audiences in real time, responding thoughtfully to emerging conversations, and finding opportunities to amplify our work and our people. 

You’ll help us grow beyond our traditional audiences, reaching new spaces and communities, and positioning St John International as a global leader in first aid and humanitarian service. You’ll work closely with the Communications Team to bring our quarterly communications strategies to life and ensure every post, comment, and interaction reflects our shared purpose and values. 

The role reports to the Director of Communications and works closely with colleagues in the Fundraising Team and our network of international communicators across 44 St John Establishments. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Act as the first point of contact for St John International’s social media communities, responding to comments, messages, and discussions in a timely, engaging, and brand-aligned way. 

• Serve as a guardian of our brand voice — confident, compassionate, and inclusive — ensuring all communications reflect our global values. 

• Identify and nurture opportunities for meaningful engagement across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and emerging platforms. 

• Collaborate with the Communications Team to plan and execute content that supports quarterly communications strategies. 

• Monitor conversations about St John and related sectors, identifying trends, opportunities for thought leadership, and potential risks. 

• Support and elevate St John’s network of expert speakers, identifying new digital and offline platforms to showcase their expertise with broader audiences. 

• Work closely with colleagues across Establishments to gather stories, visuals, and insights that highlight our global impact. 

• Ensure all content and engagement reflect an understanding of cultural diversity, political sensitivity, and our international context. 

• Use social media analytics tools to monitor performance, report on engagement growth and sentiment, and provide insights to inform future strategy. 

• Occasionally attend events or workshops (in the UK or abroad) to capture stories and build relationships with partners. 

About You 

• You’re a natural communicator who thrives on genuine interaction and knows how to build rapport online. 

• You have a strong grasp of brand voice and can adapt tone and messaging to suit different audiences and contexts. 

• You’re curious and empathetic — able to navigate complex or conflicting information and find clarity in nuance. 

• You’re globally minded, culturally sensitive, and politically aware, with a good understanding of how narratives play differently across international regions. 

• You have demonstrable experience managing social media channels for an organisation, ideally with an international, humanitarian, or non-profit focus. 

• You’re proactive and creative, with an eye for storytelling and a commitment to continuous improvement. 

• You can confidently use analytics tools to measure and interpret social media performance. 

• Experience with tools such as Meta Business Suite, MailChimp, or similar is desirable. 

• Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite would be an advantage but is not essential. 

• As our platforms develop, we’d love for you to be confident in short-form video editing. This would include turning raw footage from our St John Establishments or events into usable content for Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn videos. On the job training for this can be provided if needed.

Principle Responsibilities  

The Acquisition & Retention Manager will be responsible for creating and delivering a multi-channel acquisition Retention strategy that fully supports the goals and objectives of the wider Charity strategy.The post holder will develop, manage and grow the existing acquisition program via a range of Digital and Face to Face campaigns utilising third party agencies for Private Site, Door to Door and, telemarketing activities, as well as management of our own onsite Face to Face acquisition team.

The postholder will have substantial experience of working within or managing a successful fundraising acquisition team, with excellent working knowledge of sector practises and channels to ensure best use of budget, ensure a competitive cost per acquisition (CPA), while increasing loyalty, engagement and lifetime value (LTV) among existing supporters.

The role and its impact

This is a part-time CEO role providing hands-on leadership so CCE can deliver projects well, support volunteers, and build strong partnerships. Working with the Board, you will help move projects from early-stage development through to installation and reporting.

• Build relationships with key local stakeholders and represent CCE externally when needed.

Job Purpose:

The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator is an integral part of the Philanthropy team, responsible for managing a large portfolio of Trust and Foundation (T&F) supporters. The Trusts and Foundations Coordinator provides excellent relationship management, creating first-class donor journeys for their portfolio based on donors’ individual motivations and interests. They will ensure stewardship plans are in place for their top tier of T&F donors, and that they meet any specific proposal/reporting requirements for the donors they manage. 

The primary aspect of the role is the management of a portfolio of T&Fs, ensuring their continued support of MSF, with a focus on delivering stable and increased income for MSF’s work. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in relationship management, marketing or sales (preference for fundraising experience) 
• Excellent and engaging written communication skills and ability to adapt style to suit a wide range of supporters
• Ability to collate and adapt MSF operational and programmatic information into donor friendly language, relevant for donor proposals and reports

Contract: Part-time. Permanent after 6 months’ probation, or freelance

Hours: 15 hours per week plus 4 floating hours on demand

Salary: £27,000 Full Time Equivalent if employed. If freelance, daily rates can be discussed.

Annual leave and benefits: 

• 5.6 weeks per year FTE (pro rata based on weekly hours)
• Flexible working pattern (as long as predominantly during business hours)
• Pension scheme with matched contributions if employed. 4% employer / 4% employee

What you will be working on:

• You will lead the planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns and initiatives across all online channels, including the website, SEO/SEM/AI Overviews, social media, supporter stewardship and marketing e-mails, to enhance charity visibility and drive supporter retention and acquisition
• You will manage website content and performance, oversee paid media campaigns, and analyse digital metrics to inform strategy and optimise ROI. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Director, you’ll ensure all digital activities align with our charity goals and fundraising strategy
• You will manage content creation and social media calendars, deliver targeted email campaigns, and monitor the online reputation of our charity to maintain a strong and positive presence. You will ensure our digital presence drives supporter and income growth by identifying the right audiences, driving engagement and qualifying interest in readiness to move up our supporter funnel
• A focus on data and insights using our CRM is instrumental to the supporter journeys and fundraising funnel and will in addition to the more creative aspects of the role where this insight translates into appealing content and campaigns targeted towards the right audience, be an important part of your day-to-day work
• You will also be responsible for regular reporting and analysis which will guide continuous improvement, while your awareness of emerging trends will help keep Rafiki Thabo current in digital marketing
• Ultimately you will play a key role in our digital marketing and communication activities, creating awareness that converts supporters up the fundraising funnel and be integral to our future growth and success

This job is for you if you…

• Are a marketing all-rounder with strong digital marketing experience
• Are experienced in developing, managing, delivering and optimising digital marketing campaigns across social media, search, website and e-mail marketing to drive brand awareness, lead generation, supporter engagement
• You have enough experience to hit the ground running and take the lead in your role
• You have strong knowledge and experience of SEO/SEM, AI, Google and Meta Ads, and analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Tag Manager
• You are proficient in using CRM systems in conjunction with automated marketing tools for support stewardship journeys and building CRM dashboards to track KPIs and engagement
• You have a positive mindset and a ‘can do’ attitude, with a flexible, conscientious, self-motivated and proactive approach to working independently while also being a team-player
• You have excellent communication skills, and a creative yet data-driven and supporter focused approach
• You have strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, campaigns and deadlines effectively. Ability to prioritise conflicting demands and tight deadlines under pressure
• And most importantly… you want your work to make a difference to the disadvantaged children and young people Rafiki Thabo support in Kenya, Uganda and Lesotho

The CEO will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the continued success and sustainability of Clwyd Special Riding Centre. This is a wide-ranging role combining strategic leadership with hands-on people management.

The postholder will oversee the daily running of the Centre while also working closely with Trustees to deliver long-term development plans. The role demands strong financial and organisational management, excellent people skills, and the ability to balance compassion with pragmatism.

The CEO will act as a key ambassador for the Centre, building relationships with supporters, stakeholders, and the wider community to secure funding and grow the charity’s impact.  The CEO will create the strategic plans for the next 5 years and work with the Trustees, Stakeholders and Staff to implement the plan.
