The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Head of Campaigns & Media to lead the development of a new team within our Policy & Influencing Directorate.

This exciting role has been created to develop a new campaigns function at the Mental Health Foundation, incorporating our existing media team and working closely with policy, research and lived experience colleagues across the UK, with the aim of driving support for policy change.

What does the role involve?

• Developing a campaigns strategy for MHF and deliver its execution.
• Manage the campaigns and media team, commission engaging content, oversee campaign budgets, and collaborate with stakeholders to create a better policy environment for good mental health.
• Contribute to the leadership of the Mental Health Foundation and its Policy and Influencing Directorate.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?​

• Experience of developing and implementing campaign strategies to support policy change in the charity sector.
• Comprehensive understanding of communication disciplines (e.g. digital marketing, media relations, content creation) and how they integrate to achieve campaign objectives.
• Understanding of mental health policy, prevention and public health.

About the role

If you have significant experience of delivering and guiding health and safety in a large organisation as well as providing advice and guidance on health and safety issues on both a strategic and operational level this could be the role for you. 

You will have first class leadership skills, with the ability to manage a disbursed staff team as well as the excellent interpersonal skills to support and influence colleagues, senior managers, volunteers and others.

The successful candidate will be able to build effective relationships, manage a diverse workload as well as being able to analyse and deal with complex or difficult situations, with skill and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage all safety, health and environmental issues within the MSSC, working closely with the Director of Young People, Volunteer & Business Support and other members of the senior management team, the area, offshore, training and other teams as appropriate.
• Manage a disbursed team of Safety Assurance Officers with the support of a Deputy Head of Safety, Health & Environment.
• Monitor changes to legislation and advise CEO and Trustees of their impact on the MSSC and any required actions and/or policy changes.
• Report and analyse safety data and identifying trends or issues.

Requirements

• Hold a formal qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH Certificate or higher).
• Up to date knowledge of H&S legislation, developments, practice and management.
•  Experience of risk management and compliance systems.
•  Significant experience of providing advice and guidance on H&S issues at a senior professional level; both operational and strategic.
•  Experience of managing and supporting a staff team.

The Intensive Support Refuge Manager (ISM) is responsible for the effective leadership and management of Pathway Project’s two Women’s Refuges in South Staffordshire, delivering high-quality, trauma-informed accommodation-based support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. 

She will provide driven operational and strategic leadership across both sites, ensuring safety, consistency of practice, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability and excellent outcomes for residents. She will be supported by a Head of Operations, Deputy Refuge Managers, Senior Support, Refuge staff and volunteers. 

She will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to support Pathway Project’s evolving strategy and commitment to excellence in service delivery.

Marauders Men's Health is a dynamic, South Wales-based charity dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and mental fitness of men through connection and support. We have established strong foundations, including secured funding from the Big Lottery Community Fund over three years, a full Board of Trustees, and a growing programme of 8 events each week, including Walk & Talks and Sports Hubs. JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

· Lead the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the charity in line with the Board’s vision.

· Develop, manage, and oversee the charity's resources and workstreams.

· Ensure governance, compliance, and policies/procedures remain in good shape.

· Support the Board with fundraising strategy and financial accountability, including financial forecasting and reporting to funders.

2. Programme Management & Delivery

· Directly manage the Programme & Projects Manager and the Regional Event Leaders, and assist in the recruitment process for the newly established Volunteering Co-ordinator and the Wellbeing Coach/Coordinator roles. 

· Drive the delivery and expansion of our core programmes, including the Physical Activities (Walk & Talks, Sports Hubs), Volunteer Engagement, Community Partnerships and the Personal Wellbeing Plans (PWP)18.

· Develop and implement the Marauders Pathway Programme to establish a culture of good citizenship and peer support.

3. People & Volunteer Management

· Provide leadership, support, and development for staff, managing issues such as payroll, sickness, and holidays.

· Oversee the Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop a comprehensive volunteer management process, including recruitment, training, and 'Reward & Recognition’.

· Help inspire 100 men to give back to the community through volunteering.

4. Partnerships & IT Development

· Maintain and forge new community partnerships (e.g. with voluntary organisations, NGO’s, other charities and social enterprises) to enhance volunteering, education, and wellbeing services.

· Spearhead the development of our IT Platform, focusing on a robust website and a Beneficiary Management System (CRM) for efficient reporting, data capture, and engagement.

· Oversee digital marketing and communications, including newsletters and social media content.

About the Role

Job Summary for Evaluation and Evidence Specialist

This role forms a key part of a new Strategy & Insight Team at Bowel Cancer UK, which seeks to build core capabilities to enable us to be as effective as we can be for people affected by bowel cancer. The Evaluation and Evidence Specialist will be an internal leader driving a step-change in the way we understand and articulate our impact, as well as how we use evidence in our work. You will be responsible for delivering evaluations of high-priority activities, as well as supporting other teams to evaluate the impact of their area. You will drive a cultural shift in evidence-based decision making where the charity begins to move from reacting to evidence to proactively generating its own evidence. Overview of post: 

This is a 12-month paid internship starting in March 2026, supported by the Jack Petchey Internship 
Programme. The successful candidate must be available to take up the post by Monday 23rd
March 2026. This internship is designed to provide a structured learning and development 
opportunity for someone interested in building a career in the youth, charity, and/or community 
sector. The post-holder will gain specialist knowledge working with unpaid Carers and their 
families, as well as exposure to how the broader health, social care, and education sectors
operate.

The post-holder will support the delivery of activities and breaks for Young Carers (YCs) and 
Young Adult Carers (YACs), including social, educational, and wellbeing groups, groups which 
support YC and YAC personal development, create opportunities to build friendships and peer 
support networks as well as provide time out from caring roles. 

They will help raise awareness of Young Carers by attending e.g. outreach events and school 
assemblies alongside staff, will contribute to identifying new YCs, and undertake a specific 
project focused on engaging more YACs aged 18–25. This project will involve researching their 
needs and preferences and piloting activities to meet these.

Through Sutton Carers Centre’s support and the additional opportunities provided by the Jack 
Petchey Internship Programme, this internship offers a high-quality, developmental experience 
for someone starting out in the sector. It could be particularly rewarding for someone who has 
lived experience of caring and/or wants to develop specialist knowledge and skills in this area. 
Principal Tasks
Activity Delivery
• Support the planning, organisation, and delivery of creative, educational, therapeutic 
and/or social group activities, workshops, and trips for YCs and YACs. 
• Attend school assemblies and other outreach events with colleagues to raise awareness 
of Young Carers and help identify new referrals.
• Encourage YCs/YACs to participate in the planning and shaping of activities, including 
through forums and feedback.
• Contribute to creating safe, inclusive, and positive environments where YCs/YACs feel

Young Adult Carers Project
• Lead a time-limited project to engage YACs (18–25), engaging with currently identified 
YACs about their interests and barriers to participation.

from colleagues.
• Contribute ideas of how we can identify and support more YACs. 
• Share learning and recommendations with the wider team to inform future service 
delivery.
Learning and Development

• Shadow colleagues across Sutton Carers Centre to build knowledge of Carer support 
and wider health and social care systems.

• Build relationships with external partners, providing opportunities to network with other

ABOUT US

Not all young people have the same opportunities in life. Caudwell Youth exists to level the playing field for young people at risk. We support young people up to 25 years, who face real challenges in their lives. They may experience mental health challenges, be leaving care or be at risk of exploitation or offending.

We provide person centred support through volunteer-led mentoring for up to 18-months, alongside a targeted intervention programme called Shaping Futures for high-risk young people. Founded by the philanthropist John Caudwell in 2022, we now support young people across Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Slough, Buckinghamshire, and Luton.

Over our first 3 years as a charity, our work has consistently achieved exceptional outcomes for at-risk young people. 95% reduced offending behaviour, 64% reduced their exploitation risk, 83% reported improvements in their mental health and 45% had moved into education, employment or training. When a young person makes progress, families and communities benefit too. In fact, economic analysis shows that for every £1 invested in our programme, we save the public purse £6.05.

Unfortunately, demand for our service far outstrips supply, meaning we have often had to close our waiting lists. Whilst the risks and challenges young people face continue to grow. We currently support around 400 young people. The driving ambition behind our forthcoming strategy is to reach more.

To achieve this we are setting out to develop and expand our programmes. To become a national charity. We will do this working with at-risk young people, empowering them in everything we do. Our ambition to support more at-risk young people is shared with them.

The Role

Reporting to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, the Legal and Governance Business Partner will lead on the provision of support to the charity’s staff and volunteers on all legal and governance matters.

Purpose of the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure BDC Mind delivers high-quality mental health services, achieves organisational sustainability, and fosters a culture aligned to the charity’s values.

The Young Roots Casework Service aims to improve the life chances of young refugees and asylum seekers and to support them to reach their potential by accessing their rights and entitlements. 

This is an opportunity for an experienced manager to head up the organisation's Casework team. It will be a chance to provide advice and guidance, safeguarding oversight, line management and supervise other Caseworkers across the organisation. 

The role will support the oversight and delivery of our weekly Advice and Support Hub in both Brent and Croydon (Wednesday 5pm-8m and Thursday 4.30pm-8pm).The role will suit a dynamic, supportive, and enthusiastic manager with a deep understanding of the challenges young refugees and asylum seekers face in London.   

Hybrid working with minimum 40% in-person attendance at one of our London offices (2 days per week for full-time staff, pro rata for part-time), with occasional travel to our other offices. To be agreed with line manager - 1 x Evening per week at an activity on either a Wednesday or Thursday (day to be confirmed, so availability for either scenario is required). Occasional on call evening safeguarding cover may be required.
