Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Community Gardening Coordinator to lead and develop their Growing Together project and support the ongoing coordination of their green spaces and outdoor community hub,
This exciting and varied role combines practical gardening and community development. You will use their green spaces as a tool to bring people together to improve wellbeing and create opportunities for people to connect with nature, their neighbours and the local community.
Working closely with our clients Investment Team and the Neighbourhood Network project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, you will coordinate a small team of freelance gardeners, nature-based practitioners, volunteers and community participants to ensure their outdoor spaces thrive and remain welcoming, inclusive environments for everyone.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who believes in the power of community, enjoys working outdoors, and understands how gardening and nature can create meaningful opportunities for engagement and personal growth.
About you
You’ll already have experience developing and leading community-based gardening projects. This will include planning, coordinating gardeners, volunteers and community groups whilst monitoring the project alongside managing budgets and reporting outcomes.
With a good understanding of Health and Safety and Asset-Based Community Development principles, you will be confident in delivering workshops and sessions within a small team, particularly in an outdoor environment.
You’ll also be comfortable coordinating freelancers, volunteers, and community groups, and be good at encouraging and motivating people outdoors.
You will be an ambassador for our cleints and their values, continually seeking ways to improve their services and maximise the positive impact of their community spaces.
The role will require occasional weekend and evening work, to run or support community events. Whilst the role is primarily based in Weston-super-Mare, you must have access to your own transport and be able to drive within the area in which our client operates.

The Role
The Director of Conferencing is a new role, created to lead the strategic development and delivery of Clare’s conferencing business, which provides a vital income stream to enable the College to sustain its core educational mission. In addition to this the post holder would be eligible for meals on duty. This is a permanent role at 36.25 hours per week. The role will require working outside office hours for some events.

As a Maintenance Operative, your primary work based will be Hove with regular travel and work required across Brighton and Hove to any of our YMCA DLG sites, with demand varying throughout the year. A full UK driving licence is therefore essential, and a vehicle will be provided.

Our Maintenance team works across multiple properties to ensure our residents have safe, good‑quality homes. We work closely with service staff to identify and complete repairs, carry out ad hoc cleaning and decoration, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare empty homes for new residents.
This role will operate across Brighton & Hove, centred around 2 sites in Hove which provide 24‑hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25. Locally we also manage several larger shared houses (typically 4–8 residents) through our Transitional Housing teams, supporting young people on their journey to independence. In total, the team helps maintain safe homes for approximately 100 residents across the city.
As a Maintenance Operative covering sites across Brighton & Hove, you will take on a hands‑on role combining practical maintenance tasks with caretaking responsibilities. You will help create and maintain safe, welcoming, and psychologically informed accommodation for the people we support. This is a practical role; undertaking void works, working on and assessing the day‑to‑day compliance of our sites. You will be working closely with housing staff throughout the services.
