Purpose of Job
To deliver a high-quality service to and facilitate opportunities for individuals with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their families/carers through Shine membership.To empower and enable members living with the conditions to lead healthy and happy lives through greater independence, better condition management and by creating links to the Shine community across England.
SHINE has over 15,000 members with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus. This post will bring a real focus to the Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk area and will be an exciting opportunity to engage with members and develop and deliver the services we offer.
We work with members of all ages from our Little Stars aged between 0 – 12, young people are members of our FIRE project and we have established adult support. Working alongside our multi skilled, established team, you will be supporting members across all age groups and building on the great foundations already in place.
The role is home based but you will be required to attend clinic at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge on the first Friday of every month. You may also be required to cover other clinics, events in London and meet members one to one where necessary within your allocated area of Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk and occasionally across wider areas and nationally including meetings at our head office in Peterborough.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, The Premises Officer will be responsible for the security of the building and the safety of staff and learners, when on duty. The post is to cover evening shifts at the school, 5-10pm during the term dates and various additional hours to cover annual leave out of term dates, including the weekends.
The team at PSAD are passionate about connecting the community through culture, art and design, making it affordable and accessible for all. Today, managed by Enable and firmly rooted in the community, the school offers art and design courses, including specialised courses like the Art and Design Diploma, a Family Learning programme where parent and child can learn and work together, and courses for young people.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
- Set up studios as required, directed by the Operations Manager or the Curriculum Manager.
- As directed, maintains the security of the School and the safety applying the closed down procedure at the end of each day , students and staff have safe access, unexpected visitors and contractors show identification and sign a visitor book; reports all incidents e.g. security breaches, threatening behaviour, theft to the Operations Manager or the most senior officer on duty.
- Ensure all of the facilities, studios and teaching spaces are prepared ready for each class throughout the School's opening hours e.g. putting away equipment, cables, turning off heaters, clearing studios of rubbish, emptying bins, any cleaning as required during operational hours.
- Assumes full responsibility for the building and the safety of students in the absence of more senior staff, contacting the Key Holder (Operations Manager/Head of School) in the case of an emergency.
- Assists the Operations Manager with minor repairs as required.
- Assists with the delivery, unpacking and storing of stock and stores.
- Operate the school Art Shop and sell a range of art materials to students at designated hours, and refreshments to students in the evenings and at weekends, if required.
- Handles cash accurately, including use of cash tills and credit card payments, maintaining security of cash and stock at all times.
- Assist and contribute to key school events including operational tasks related to them such as setting up exhibitions, and technical support for tutors in using IT facilities for teaching and learning equipment.
- General administrative and operational duties including taking payments from students for fees and materials, using the school MIS system to enrols students, ensuring that all details are inputted correctly to ensure accurate record keeping and check course information on the school website and make necessary updates.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, as directed by the Head of School.

Corporate Fundraiser

We will prioritise financial literacy in education and aim to increase funding for financial education programmes. Our goal is to ensure all children can make informed financial decisions as they grow up.

We are looking for a relationship-driven Corporate Fundraiser to manage and grow our corporate partnerships and support our mission to improve financial education for children and young people across the UK.
This role will focus primarily on account management of existing corporate partners, most of whom are based in London and work within the financial services sector. Corporate partners support the charity through donations, participation in a collaborative supporter group, and employee volunteering.
A key part of the role will be coordinating our corporate volunteering programme, particularly school-based volunteering sessions where corporate employees deliver financial education workshops. You will manage the end-to-end process, working closely with corporate partners, schools and internal colleagues to ensure high-quality delivery.
You will also support new business development, helping to identify and secure new corporate partnerships, and will use Salesforce to manage relationships, pipelines and reporting.
Key responsibilities

The Opportunity
We are excited to be recruiting for a Principal Director to lead commercial growth within our Evaluation practice. This is a new role within the practice. Reporting to our Group Directors and / or a Managing Director of IEE (subject to future appointment), the Director will work as part of a practice leadership team that will oversee all aspects of the evaluation team’s work, with a focus on leading business development. Our partnerships encompass education organisations such as charities, edtech organisations and government, and schools and multi-academy Trusts. Across all our partnerships, we aim to design and deliver high-quality research and evaluation projects that help our partners make better decisions for children using good evidence.
You will provide strategic leadership, represent the organisation both internally and externally, and be responsible for driving the commercial performance of the practice. This role will sit alongside a Principal Director focused on the delivery of our partnerships, and our Director of Research.
The role will focus on partnerships and business development, ensuring that ImpactEd Evaluation is positioned well as first port of call for schools and social purpose organisations. You will lead a number of sales and marketing campaigns, develop key propositions for our partners, scan and respond to relevant tenders and work closely with a team of evaluation experts to ensure we are able to continue to bring accessible expertise to our work and partners.
The role would be ideal for a candidate with deep understanding of the education sector, a track record in business development, and the ambition to shape the direction of a growing social enterprise.

Context
Q:alliance provides support, information, and representation for LGBTQ+ young people in Bedford, drawing on our wider experience delivering established services across Milton Keynes for the last 50 years.
We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and organisations locally, and it is our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community in Bedford is visible, well represented, and supported.
Scope
This is a newly created role within our Bedford services, delivering Q:alliance’s established youth support model developed in Milton Keynes and shaping pathways and support that respond to local need in Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire.
You will manage a one-to-one caseload of support for LGBTQ+ young people, while building relationships with schools and developing a collaborative schools’ network informed by young people’s insights. You will also develop and deliver LGBTQ+ inclusion training for teachers, education staff, and youth workers. This work will contribute to safe, affirming environments that strengthen resilience, wellbeing, and mental health.
You will work closely with the Youth Services Manager and youth teams across our service areas, building on existing Q:alliance provision in Bedford, where a dedicated youth team already leads on LGBTQ+ youth group delivery.
The role includes outreach across Bedfordshire’s urban and rural communities, supporting young people who may experience increased isolation due to limited access to LGBTQ+-affirming spaces.
You will work collaboratively with the Youth Services Manager to agree outreach and engagement targets, contributing to effective monitoring and reporting systems to ensure robust evidence of impact.
What you’ll bring to the team
This role is a key opportunity for Q:alliance to grow our work in Bedford, build local relationships, and better understand and respond to the needs of LGBTQ+ young people across the area. You will play a central role in shaping a new service, reaching young people who may not yet be connected to support, and helping both staff and the board of trustees develop a strong, place-based understanding of LGBTQ+ youth experiences in Bedford.
You will act as a first point of contact for schools, colleges, and youth settings in Bedford, building trusted relationships and establishing a collaborative network of school and college leads. You will share insights gathered through this work with the wider Q:alliance team, helping to strengthen our responses to local need and inform the development and sustainability of services, including future funding.
You will help ensure continuity of support between schools, our support spaces and Q:alliance’s wider youth service provision.
Main Responsibilities
· Networking – Support teachers, education staff and youth workers to access resources, implement inclusive learning environments and provide support for LGBTQ+ young people in their settings. Develop a network of school representatives to provide peer-support on shifting needs, priorities, and situations in a local and national context.
· Data capture and intelligence - Support Q;alliance’s commitment to sustaining a contemporary data and monitoring mechanism, guaranteeing we can deliver thorough evaluations of our services and competent feedback to our funders and stakeholders on the efficacy of our work. Analyse local intelligence directly from LGBTQ+ youth communities and use this to co-produce plans with young people to ensure our youth services are engaging and meeting needs.
· Support, information and empowerment – develop and implement resources for 1:1 education and resilience work with LGBTQ+ young people, provide support and advocacy for young people, ensuring effective signposting to relevant services and collaboration with parents, guardians, teachers and education staff where appropriate.
· Innovation – work with the Youth Services Manager, school representatives and young people to innovate a schools accreditation system that will acknowledge and cultivate schools’ competence to provide safe spaces and support for LGBTQ+ young people.
· Stakeholder and community engagement – Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.
· Education – Plan, develop and deliver positive and engaging classroom workshops and school assemblies to a wide range of young people, ensuring key messages are inclusive of diverse perspectives, including those from black and minoritized communities.
· Training - Develop and deliver training for teachers, education staff and youth workers with the aim of improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth communities and the capacity of those with the power to assist in this endeavour.

Facilities Manager (Hard Services)

As the Facilities Manager, you will ensure the University’s buildings and working environment remain compliant, functional, efficient, and safe at all times from a hard services FM perspective. You will focus mainly on the Horizons site however you will also deputise for and support the Head of Facilities, in the wider work of the team.
You will champion sustainability, concentrating on elements relating to carbon management, energy, and water management. You will uphold building compliance and energy-related requirements, for example L8, ESOS and SECR, and provide advice and guidance to others as necessary. In addition, you will have full responsibility for contract management of FM service providers and proactively manage PPM at all University properties.
You must have extensive knowledge and experience of hard FM services and be a confident and experienced engineer. Other essentials include familiarity with a BMS, experience of ISO140001, BREEAM, and contractor management.
Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Ensure all building statutory testing takes place and act as the responsible person and duty holder across multiple systems, including but not limited to L8, Fgas, PAT testing, low voltage electrical systems and lifting equipment (LOLER)
- Proactively manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) at all University properties, including fire alarm and emergency lighting
- Assume full responsibility for contract management of FM service providers including utilities, air conditioning, the Building Management System, fire prevention, lift servicing, drainage and plumbing, and water hygiene testing (L8)
- Ensure that internal systems, procedures, and processes relevant to the role, support the delivery of the University’s sustainability aspirations
Our main requirements:
- Technical FM qualifications or extensive knowledge of Hard FM services with supporting experience
- IOSH Managing Safely

We are excited to be seeking a talented and motivated individual to join Southampton Hospitals Charity as our Grants Manager.
This role will provide the right candidate with a rare opportunity to implement, embed and oversee the delivery of the Charity’s £2.5 million dedicated grant programmes from pre to post award.
Covering four programmes (Patient Care, Research & Development, Clinical Innovation and Staff Education & Improvement), the post holder will be responsible for managing circa £2.5M of expenditure each year, ensuring they deliver impact for patients, staff and donors.
This is a unique opportunity to work within the hospital environment where the projects we fund are delivered, supporting clinical staff to access funding to directly improve patient care. You will be vital in cultivating these in-hospital relationships.

Main responsibilities
Grant Management & Compliance
- Oversee the delivery of the charity’s dedicated grant programmes from pre to post award: Patient Care, Research & Development, Clinical Innovation and Staff Education & Improvement. The post holder will be responsible for circa £2.5M expenditure per annum ensuring they deliver impact for patients, staff and donors (grant values typically range from £2K to <£0.5M).
- Oversee the management of the charity's current grant portfolio; ensuring grants are delivered on time and in accordance with internal processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial obligations (inc. payments, reconciliations and audits) and regulatory obligations (inc. data management, grant award contracts, procurement).
- Ensure grant making processes reflects and champion current best practice.
- Develop and implement a Grants Advisory Committee.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with key stakeholders within University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust (UHS), including senior health professionals, executive team members, partners and beneficiaries.
- Work to embed the grants programmes within the hospital environment and work with UHS staff to support them in access funding through working within the hospital and regular visits to clinical areas.
- Act as primary liaison for the Charity’s grant making responsibilities, ensuring alignment with charitable objectives and 2024-2027 strategic mission
- Provide support to Director of Operations and Resources and the Senior Leadership Team, fostering a collaborative approach to grant programme delivery in tandem with fundraising, communication and art programme goals.
- Represent the organisation at meetings, attending hospital site visits, events and other external facing activities as required.
- Implement hybrid applicant and grantee support functions (e.g. webinars, Q&A events, promotional events, annual learning events).
Strategic Planning & Funding Prioritisation
- Lead the development of the Charity’s grant-making function, working with internal and external stakeholders in identifying key funding priorities that align with the Charity’s mission and future goals.
- Develop strategies for allocating resources effectively and the ongoing review of grant programmes (aiming for continual improvement).
- Develop strategies for working in partnership with UHS for joint decision making, the effective management of capital awards and high value grant requests.
- Identify new grant opportunities and potential partnerships to diversify funding streams.
- Maximise grant impact by contributing to the business planning process.
Evaluation, Reporting & Impact
- Oversee processes for effective grant monitoring, reporting and analysis of grants portfolio.
- Develop and implement an evaluation framework for the charity’s grants programme, ensuring this is embedded and linked to organisation wide reporting mechanisms and measurable outcomes are achieved.

Working hours and location
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.
The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.
Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. About Friends of Ibba Girls School (FIGS)
Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), is a registered UK Charity (114620) set up in 2011, at the request of local community leaders to help build and develop a girls’ boarding school in South Sudan. Ibba Girls Boarding School now educates over 320 primary and secondary school girls from across Western Equatoria State and employs around 40 staff.
The school provides high-quality education in a context where most girls leave school before completing primary education and very few reach secondary level. FIGS is a relatively small UK-based charity with a strong national reputation and a substantial impact, demonstrating what high-quality girls’ education can achieve in South Sudan. FIGS works closely with Windle Trust International, which provides technical, financial and organisational support to the school in South Sudan.
FIGS raises approximately £500,000 each year to meet the running and development costs of IGBS and FIGS. Fundraising and effective communications are therefore central to our mission. We are a small team and are looking for someone who will thrive in a varied role, is proactive, organised, and capable of handling multiple demands, with a readiness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
The Role
This role involves supporting both fundraising and communications activities, alongside essential administrative functions. The Fundraising and Communications Officer will play a key role in implementing FIGS’ fundraising and communications plans, supporting donor engagement, campaigns, events, and day-to-day operational administration. You will be working closely with our Head of Fundraising and Communications, ensuring that FIGS has the resources to continue to support the education and boarding of over 320 marginalised girls in South Sudan.
The role is home-based but requires the ability and willingness to travel to fundraising and supporter events across the UK, including occasional evenings and weekends.
FIGS is a trustee-led charity, with an active and engaged Board that plays a hands-on role in governance, strategy, fundraising and ambassadorial work. Trustees bring a wide range of experience, including diplomacy, international development, education, finance and communications, and work closely with staff to ensure the charity is well-run, accountable and effective.
While Trustees retain strategic oversight and are closely involved in key decisions, FIGS also has a small paid staff team responsible for day-to-day operations, fundraising delivery and communications. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with regular interaction between Trustees and staff, and a shared commitment to the success of Ibba Girls Boarding School.
The staff team currently consists of:

Head of Fundraising and Communications, responsible for overall fundraising strategy, communications, donor relationships and line management

Fundraising and Communications Officer (this role), supporting the delivery of fundraising and communications activity, donor engagement and essential administrative functions
Staff work remotely within the UK and collaborate closely online, with regular team meetings and clear priorities. In South Sudan, Windle Trust International acts as FIGS’ managing agent, providing professional management and operational oversight of Ibba Girls Boarding School.
This role sits at the heart of FIGS’ fundraising and communications work. You will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications, interact regularly with Trustees (particularly around campaigns, events and reporting), and help ensure that systems, supporter engagement and communications run smoothly and professionally.
The role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working in a small, mission-driven organisation, is comfortable with a degree of trustee involvement, and values collaboration, clarity and shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Communications

Support fundraising plan delivery: Assist in achieving income targets and KPIs, including helping to draft grant applications and end-of-project reports.

Campaign and appeal support: Assist with planning and delivery of fundraising campaigns and appeals (digital and postal).

Donor communications: Draft and support newsletters, blogs, appeals, event invitations, and other donor communications

Relationship-building: Support engagement with individual donors, community groups, churches, schools, and other supporters

Events support: Assist with organisation, promotion, and delivery of webinars and in-person fundraising/supporter events.

Online presence: Help maintain and develop FIGS website, email marketing, social media content, and video content.

Donor stewardship: Ensure supporters are thanked promptly and follow-up actions are completed in line with policy.

Ambassadorship: Represent FIGS positively in communications and at events.
Administration and Fundraising Support

Database and record maintenance: Update CRM and administrative records.

Administrative support for campaigns and events: Help coordinate fundraising activities and materials.

Communications materials coordination: Maintain photo/video archive, collateral, and documentation.

Administrative support for smooth running: Ad hoc tasks as agreed with Head of Fundraising and Communications.

Trustee and volunteer support: Practical arrangements for events and supporter engagement.

Support Head of Fundraising and Communications with monthly fundraising and communications reports

Gift Aid and basic financial support (future): Assist with processing if needed.

Team meetings: Prepare for and attend weekly online meetings.

Person Specification
Essential

Experience in fundraising, communications, charity administration or a closely related role.

Experience of fundraising from Trusts and Foundations, digital fundraising, email fundraising, or demonstrable transferable skills.

Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and engagingly for different audiences.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with strong attention to detail.

Confidence in using databases/CRMs, email marketing platforms and standard office software.

Understanding of, or willingness to learn, GDPR and good practice in supporter data management.

Ability to work independently from home and manage competing priorities.

UK-based, with the ability and willingness to travel to events across the UK.

Commitment to FIGS’ values and to the importance of girls’ education.
