Join our team at the MPS Society, one of the leading rare genetic disease charities in the UK aiming to transform the lives of individuals and their families affected by MPS, Fabry and other related lysosomal diseases. This is a rare opportunity to join our Support & Communities teams who provide direct support, practical guidance and other patient focused activities to over 1500 members and their families, UK-wide.
Our Support Team raise awareness both within the MPS community and external agencies, offering information, advice, support, and advocacy in a range of areas including clinical management, health and social care, housing, education, transition, independent living, palliative care, and bereavement.
Ideal candidate
As a Senior Support Officer, you will primarily be responsible for raising awareness and providing a high-quality support and advocacy service to our members and their families. You will be a relationship builder who cares about the community we serve and ensures that the individual (or family) remains at the centre of support. You will have experience in multi-agency working and an in-depth understanding of the needs of those with disabilities, their families and carers. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of health and social care, education and relevant assessment processes are essential.
As deputy safeguarding lead officer for both shildren and vulnerable adults you will take the lead in the absence of the safeguarding leads and be confident sharing your knowledge with new recruits through mentoring.
You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to uphold best practice, challenge poor policy and inappropriate decisions. Excellent IT skills and the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timescales are essential. You will be self-motivated and highly organised, juggling many strands of work.
As part of a small, dedicated team, you will have a positive attitude and a willingness to work collaboratively with your colleagues and external parties to raise awareness, advocate for our membership, as well as supporting the delivery and development of services for the MPS Society community.
Whilst a relevant qualification within health & social care, education or a related field is desirable, other knowledge and work experiences may be equally as valuable in this role. Prior knowledge of MPS and related conditions is not required however a special interest in neurology and working with individuals with neurological disabilities is advantageous. In-depth support and training to develop expertise in MPS and related conditions, and the needs of those affected by these progressive, life-limiting conditions will be provided.

This is a full-time role (35 hrs per week) however part time hours, with a minimum of 28 hrs per week may be agreed for the right candidate. Salary will be pro-rata for part-time.

This is an essential car user post. The applicant must hold a current UK driver’s licence, with no more than 6 points, have access to a car and be able and willing to drive UK wide as required.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in our Amersham office each week. As part of the role, UK wide travel is necessary. This may on occasion include early morning and/or evening working and sometimes overnight stays. You may also occasionally be required to attend evening or weekend conferences and events. We are looking for our next Finance Manager / Senior Financial Controller, someone who shares our compassion for animal welfare and wants to play a central role in stewarding Mayhew’s financial resources for the greatest impact.
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will work closely with senior colleagues across Mayhew—including members of the Senior Management Team—to support strong financial direction, responsible stewardship, and effective, mission‑driven decision‑making across the charity.
This is a highly visible and hands‑on leadership role. You will lead Mayhew’s day‑to‑day finance function, ensuring strong financial controls, good practice financial management, and timely, accessible financial reporting for colleagues, trustees and partners. In this role, you will:

Purpose of the role
This is a specialist role focused on securing and stewarding funding from trusts and foundations and developing a pipeline of major donors and high net worth supporters, underpinned by exceptional proposal writing and strong relationship management.

Key responsibilities
1) Trusts and foundations fundraising
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of UK trust and foundation prospects that advance NCTJ’s charitable priorities (including diversity, community reporting, and training for a fast-changing media industry).
- Develop and maintain a grants calendar and tracking system, including deadlines, funder preferences, decision timelines, and reporting requirements.

4) Systems, reporting and evaluation
- Maintain excellent data quality and discipline in HubSpot CRM, including prospect stage, relationship owner, next actions, submissions, reporting deadlines and contact history.
- Produce clear pipeline and performance reports for the HoBD/chief executive (eg, submissions, conversion rates, forecast, learning and next steps).

5) Collaborative working

We’re looking for a creative, data‑savvy, and supporter‑focused Individual Giving Manager to play a key role in developing and growing our individual giving programme. This is a fantastic opportunity to build inspiring donor journeys, craft compelling campaigns, and help shape how we engage our wonderful community of supporters.
As part of our friendly and growing Fundraising & Communications team, you’ll be contributing to meaningful, high‑impact work every day. Your ideas will be valued, your voice heard, and your creativity encouraged as we prepare to launch our new five‑year strategy in 2026.
Key responsibilities include:
- Strategy & Programme Development
- Develop and deliver an annual Individual Giving strategy aligned with Cherry Trees’ organisational and fundraising goals.
- Plan and manage a programme of multi‑channel campaigns (email, mail, social, digital ads, direct mail) to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors. Grow regular giving income using targeted campaigns and personalised communications.
- Donor Stewardship & Engagement
- Oversee donor journeys that inspire, thank, and update supporters, ensuring excellent supporter experience at all touchpoints.
- Develop segmented, insight-driven communications that speak to donor motivations. Manage in‑memory, ensuring sensitive and supportive engagement.
- Campaign Delivery
- Lead on seasonal and one-off appeals, including the Christmas Big Give Challenge and seasonal campaigns.
- Write compelling fundraising copy for emails, newsletters, social media, and print. - Work with colleagues in Communications, Services, and Finance to gather stories, monitor outcomes, and ensure consistent messaging.
- Data, Reporting & Insight
- Use CRM data to segment audiences, track ROI, and analyse donor behaviour.
- Produce regular performance reports, forecasting, and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure GDPR compliance and best practice in data handling.
- Budget & Income Management
- Manage and monitor the Individual Giving budget, setting clear KPI targets.
- Deliver strong year‑on‑year growth and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Manage relationships with suppliers such as mail houses, designers, and digital agencies.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the wider Fundraising team to support integrated campaigns and events.
- Contribute to the development of supporter journeys across all income streams. - Represent Individual Giving at internal meetings and when engaging with external stakeholders.
You’ll be confident using CRM data and analysis to inform strategy, and working alongside our communications team, you’ll enjoy creating compelling fundraising content from email journeys to campaign appeals, that motivates supporters to give.
You will excel in creating engaging supporter journeys and developing compelling fundraising propositions. Be strong in budget management, campaign evaluation skills, and familiarity with CRM systems are essential.
