Financial control responsibility for accurate, complete, Charity SORP compliant balances in the balance sheet. Review of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations, completeness and of income and expenditure lines and controls accounts. This includes ownership of fixed assets register, KPIs for debtor and creditors aged balances, correct processing of taxes (PAYE/NI and VAT) and banking administration.
Responsible for administering the Procurement Policy and Delegation of Authority. Manage and delegate the financial systems. This includes all aspects of systems management, continuous development and full utilisation of the enterprise resource planning (ERP) cloud-based software. Lead and support system-led financial and procedural controls to elevate current practices to meet best practices in accounting and reporting as per IFRS102 and Charity SORP regulatory standards. The role includes change management and process embedding, upskilling end-users and improving user experience.
Business partner across internal and external stakeholders to ensure reporting requirements are met. Achieve high level of assurance and integrity in reports including interrogation and correction as required. Support variance analysis and commentaries on all levels of reporting.
Support finance colleagues in delivery of overall Finance objectives when required i.e. absence cover and deputise for the Head of Finance.

The Role
Our media function at Hospice UK is critical to our mission to promote and protect hospice care for all.The Media and PR Manager leads our media strategy, helping to tell our story with ambition and impact – shaping conversations, building national influence and raising the profile of hospice care across the UK.
This post holder will have a sharp eye for a story, be a bold and instinctive media strategist and amplify the voices of people who need to be heard to change minds influence political decision makers and put Hospice UK at the forefront of the debate.
The Team
You will work within the Communications team that sits within the wider External Affairs Directorate. We are around 20 in total, including 4 colleagues based in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The Communications team includes colleagues working across content, social and digital, as well as partnership marketing and member communications.
You will work closely with a smaller team of 3 colleagues, our Senior Social Media Officer, Content and Brand Manager and your line manager – our Senior Communications and Communications Manager. Together you will be involved in the big issues in hospice care, making sure Hospice UK is vocal, visible and leading the debate.
There is a strong collaborative and supportive culture across the External Affairs Department with lots of opportunity to exchange ideas, plan together and benefit from each other’s skills and expertise.
Working closely with our 200+ hospice members, we have a strong track record of securing strong media coverage and winning campaigns on their behalf, most notably over the two years by securing increased investment in hospices by governments in Westminster, Cardiff and Edinburgh.
But our work is not done. Hospices are under significant pressure and need both better government investment and continued public support. Our focus now is ensuring that hospices can meet ever increasing demand for their services, with well-funded and well-staffed hospices across the UK.
About You
You're a talented and ambitious media professional with a strong instinct for a story and a passion for creating impact. Whether spotting opportunities in a fast-moving news cycle, building trusted relationships with journalists, or developing proactive media campaigns, you know how to secure attention for the issues that matter.
You'll bring significant experience in media, PR or communications, ideally within the charity, health, care or public sector, and have a proven track record of delivering media strategies that drive measurable results. You'll be equally comfortable pitching a compelling human-interest story, translating complex policy issues into engaging content, or providing calm, confident counsel to senior leaders during high-profile or sensitive situations.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, strategic and highly collaborative. You'll have excellent writing skills, strong media contacts (or the ability to build them quickly), and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Grants Manager to join Suffolk Wildlife Trust's Fundraising & Philanthropy Team at a pivotal time for nature recovery across Suffolk.
Our ambition is for 30% of Suffolk to be connected and well-managed for nature by 2030, helping wildlife recover and thrive while inspiring more people to take action for nature.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy, you will lead and develop Suffolk Wildlife Trust's grant fundraising programme, securing vital income from charitable trusts, foundations and other grant-making organisations to support our strategic priorities and core costs. You will lead on building and maintaining strong relationships with funders, developing a diverse funding pipeline and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications, stewardship and reporting.
The role will involve identifying and researching funding opportunities, working collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust to develop funding proposals, manage grant reporting and monitoring and ensuring excellent stewardship of existing funders. What we're looking for
- We're interested in hearing from candidates who have:

- Experience of working in a lived experience-led organisation, or one with a significant peer or lived experience workforce
- A proven track record of building line manager capability, coaching managers through live situations rather than doing the work for them

Your role
As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Operations Manager, you will focus on the following areas:
- Leading the development and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and frameworks that support a nationwide face-to-face fundraising programme.
- Managing operational reporting, performance dashboards and management information to provide actionable insight for planning, forecasting and decision-making.
- Driving operational governance, compliance, safety and risk management across the Face-to-Face Fundraising function.
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects, pilots and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting the operational delivery of donor recruitment, workforce planning, people processes and programme logistics to maximise fundraising performance and supporter experience.
Home Based, however the successful candidate will be expected to maintain a regular presence at the RNLI Support Centre in Poole, with visits required at least once per month.

As Events Manager overseeing Event Planning & Delivery, you’ll take the lead on a varied portfolio of fundraising events across the UK and continental Europe, with a particular focus on cycling. This is a role where you’ll own the detail from the outset, shaping event plans, managing logistics, coordinating suppliers and partners, overseeing budgets and making sure everything is in place for a successful delivery. You’ll lead on our owned events as well as working with external event organisers, with responsibility for everything from course design, venues and travel through to road closures, health and safety and commemorative elements. We're hiring a Complex Needs Recovery Worker to join our team based in Penrose Focus. In this role, you will support residents who have a history of forensic mental health issues with co morbidity, often alongside co-occurring substance misuse disorders. The residents range from high risk to low support and our aim is to provide tailored support to help them reintegrate into the community.
As a Complex Needs Recovery Worker, you will identify individual resident needs, and provide person centred, tailored support to residents to help them overcome their personal challenges and achieve their goals. - Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
- Provide person-centered support to residents, helping them rebuild their lives and transition back into the community.
- Support residents to build skills and confidence and signpost residents to external organisations and services that can aid their recovery, such as drug rehabilitation programs, psychological therapy and social services.
- Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
- Build good relationships with residents, offering emotional support and fostering a safe, non judgmental environment.
- Confidently report issues to the police when necessary and work closely with probation officers to ensure residents meet their legal and rehabilitation requirements.
- Create an empowering and enabling environment where individuals are supported to make informed decisions and take control of their own lives.
- Support residents in accessing primary healthcare services, including arranging GP appointments and liaising with mental health professionals.
About You
We're looking for a genuine passion for supporting people who may have complex needs which includes forensic mental health. You will be a self motivated individual who is able to be proactive in managing your own time during busy or quiet periods to ensure productivity. Experience in mental health or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, and will have alignment with our SIG values. You will be keen to support our residents to achieve their individual goals and support them to be the best versions of themselves.
- Previous professional or lived experience supporting people with forensic mental health and complex needs, ideally in mental health and residential setting
- Experience working with people with complex backgrounds, including ex-offenders, mental health, substance misuse, or challenging behaviour and an understanding of housing and social needs
