JOB PURPOSE
The Fundraising and Marketing Assistant will play a key role in implementing OTR’s fundraising and marketing strategies. We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.
This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
We have a part-time role available (22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. Pathway's Business Development Manager plays a key role in our small core team, working with staff across the organisation to develop our offers to NHS partners and building and managing relationships with external funders and partners from the statutory, charity and corporate sectors. Reporting to the Chief Executive the postholder plays a leading role in developing strategies to increase our impact, diversify our revenue streams and support the spread and replication of evidence-based models of care and service improvements, emerging from Pathway’s own work and our wide inclusion health networks.
The main tasks are:
1. Business Development & Lead Generation
Research and identify opportunities to spread Pathway's models of improved care, including new routes to NHS commissioners, budget holders, and innovative funding mechanisms. With senior support, identify target contacts and generate leads to develop and diversify Pathway's revenue streams and carry out planning to adapt to the external environment.
2. Grant Writing & Funding Applications
Lead and co-ordinate the development of high-quality grant applications and service business cases, working across Pathway's teams to gather evidence, articulate impact, and make compelling cases for support to NHS commissioners and Trusts, charitable foundations, and corporate partners.
3. Relationship Management
Build, manage and track relationships with NHS commissioners, system partners, clinical champions, corporate partners and funders through new and existing mechanisms. Represent Pathway externally, developing a deep understanding of commissioners' and funders’ needs, and propose ways Pathway can plan to meet them. Help staff, Fellows, and close partners to understand these needs and how Pathway may need to change in response.
4. Marketing & Communications
Work with the Communications Manager to develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials that increase Pathway's impact and externally generated income. Maintain a strong working knowledge of Pathway's care innovations and service models, and promote these in an NHS-appropriate style. Keep abreast of developments in the NHS to ensure Pathway's communications and marketing activities connect with current health service concerns.
About you - You need to have:
i. excellent oral and written communications skills including presentation skills

iii. experience of working within the health or health inclusion field preferably within NHS commissioning organisations or public health

Purpose:
The Enhanced Support & Grants Team Manager is instrumental in ensuring our clients who present with the most complex and vulnerable of situations receive specialised, tailored support to achieve financial stability and become debt-free. Your key focus is to lead and empower a team of specialist Debt Advisors who operate at the intersection of complex financial distress and significant personal vulnerability. Responsibilities
Effective personnel management of staff, to facilitate the delivery of a high-performing debt help service in collaboration with the church through:
Ensuring adequate staffing by managing holidays, sickness and other absence within your team and across the Hubs
Regular catch-ups which include feedback on quality and output indicators, client outcomes and customer service. Bringing encouragement, challenge and coaching on how to improve these and seeking to empower team members.
Delivering effective team communication, both written and verbal, to engage staff members in business as usual and aid smooth change management. Demonstrating active ownership of organisational awareness and wider strategy.
Workload management to facilitate an effective debt service by:
Collaborating with the Enhanced Support Leads, Enhanced Support In-Team Specialists, the Regional Team Managers and the Senior Hub Delivery Managers to ensure the workload is prioritised to meet agreed Service Level Agreements.
Participation in the wider Church and Client Support management team. This includes working with other Team Managers in your department, taking ownership of decisions pertinent to your area and covering responsibilities as needed when other managers are absent. Also included is attendance and participation on a directorate wide level and the willingness and ability to lead in that broader context where required.
Overseeing Specialised Client Support

Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing grant funders.
Budget oversight for grants obtained, with responsibility for coordinating quarterly reports for funders as required.
Management of Key Stakeholder Connection
Working alongside key stakeholders in the Agility and Mission & Movement directorates, to ensure the voice of those facing complex and vulnerable situations is integrated within all areas of the organisation.
Collaboration with Local CAP Workers; amplifying the consistent voice of Enhanced Support through training and information sharing.
