About the Role and the Service

The Localities Service provides holistic wellbeing support to anyone in Oxfordshire experiencing a mental health issue or poor mental wellbeing, empowering people in their own recovery.  They offer an initial Advice and Guidance session to help people identify their wellbeing support needs and signpost to a wide range of services available within Oxfordshire Mind and in the local community. They offer a broad range of peer support groups to our enhanced cohort and short courses and workshops to enable people to learn tools and strategies to improve their wellbeing.

The Deputy Manager – Localities will support the Oxfordshire Wellbeing Manager to ensure effective delivery of high-quality locality-based services for people experiencing mental health issues in Oxfordshire. Providing some direct support to service users through Advice and Guidance sessions, short courses, workshops and peer support groups as well as providing management support to the team.

Job Purpose

Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women who have been referred for support by prison staff, predominately the Mental Health In-Reach Teams and Primary Care Teams. 

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to women in contact with the criminal justice system – both in prison and in the community. 

2. Maintain case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording. 

3. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders such as statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine (FPM) is a charity and membership body for physicians who advance health through innovations in medicines, vaccines, medical devices, precision therapies, diagnostics, and digital health technologies. The role

The Education & Standards Administrator role is an opportunity for someone who thrives on a challenge, who is happiest when putting their excellent organisational and customer facing skills through their paces. Someone who is at their best working collaboratively with others. 

They will play a key role in supporting the delivery of FPM’s Certificate and Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine (DPM), training and standards, chiefly in two areas:

• Examinations – FPM sets the curricula for and runs a number of examinations. They include the Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine, successful completion of which is a defining moment in the career of any pharmaceutical physician, and a keystone of FPM membership. It affirms their knowledge and expertise in the specialty, and commitment to enhancing the health of society.
• Training – FPM offers a range of training sessions and webinars, including the flagship DPM Training Programme which supports learners preparing to take FPM examinations. Training is a cornerstone of FPM’s commitment to equipping pharmaceutical physicians with the specialist knowledge and capabilities to practise to the highest ethical and professional standards.

The postholder will support FPM’s Examinations and Standards Manager and Digital Training Manager in delivering a high quality customer experience.

We are looking for a bright, dynamic self-starter who is a team player, organised and has good communication skills. The ideal candidate will bring great energy, diligence and attention to detail, and will be keen to make a positive contribution in all aspects of the role. Specific tasks include: acting as the first line of response for queries; supporting the registration of examination and training candidates; handling meetings administration, including sending out Teams or Zoom links and meeting materials; and assisting with CRM testing and setup. An understanding of professional development in a professional environment would be an advantage but is not essential. Full training will be given.

This role is central to ensuring that the voices of people in the justice system shape the services that affect them. About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

This role covers Thames Valley and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.

In this role, you will:

Supporting Young People

• Act as the first point of contact for people experiencing homelessness and referral partners, providing advice and signposting

• Conduct needs and risk assessments with potential Nightstop guests

• Coordinate and manage the logistics of each placement with volunteer hosts

• Work proactively with guests and partner agencies to identify longer-term accommodation options

• Provide ongoing support to guests and volunteers, including participation in a 24-hour on-call rota

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and volunteers at all times

• Comply with data protection and information-sharing protocols

• Lead on safeguarding actions to protect people with an identified risk

Volunteer Recruitment, Promotion and Engagement

• Promote volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, and online platforms

• Recruit and onboard volunteer hosts in line with safer recruitment practices, including interviews, references, DBS checks, and travelling to complete home assessments in line with lone working procedures

• Assess and make recommendations on applicants’ suitability and contribute to decision-making processes

• Deliver training, supervision, forums, celebration events and ongoing support to volunteers

• Build strong relationships with hosts to support retention, motivation, and engagement

• Work collaboratively and effectively as part of the wider team with regular travel nationally for team meetings

• Actively participate in regular supervision, appraisals, caseload reviews and team meetings with your line manager and the wider team

• Work within the principles of Trauma Informed Practices, and apply this to your daily work young people, volunteers and also within the team

• Participate in an on-call rota, including evenings and weekends (additional on-call allowance is paid)

• Provide out-of-hours support when required
