Are you a good communicator and curious about people? We’re looking for an Involvement Assistant Apprentice to join the Involvement team. 

As a member of the team you will support activities that enable us to gather evidence to better understand peoples’ experiences, across the full spectrum of lived experience of dementia. You’ll support key involvement activities influencing local and national work, helping us to make the case for change as well working on projects that have a direct impact on people’s daily lives.  

You’ll have the opportunity to take forward a project that will support the Alzheimer’s Society to reach and involve more people affected by dementia. 
 
The apprenticeship is for 18 months and in this role, you will complete a Business Administration Level 3 apprenticeship.

About you 
You will play a key co-ordination and support role within the Involvement Team. Working with colleagues, people living with dementia and their family, friends and carers in person and by telephone, email, via social media channels and over teams and zoom.

You’ll be supporting activities that enable people with lived and learnt experience to collaborate, sharing their knowledge, skills and opinions to help plan, shape and influence the work of Alzheimer’s Society. 
 
Patience, empathy and a willingness to learn are essential skills. Someone who is self-motivated and has great interpersonal skills. You’ll be technically literate /IT proficient and interested in learning how to use our Dementia Voice Database.

Key Responsibilities: 

- Support the planning, coordination and delivery of involvement activities that gather insight from people affected by dementia.
- Engage with people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers through telephone, email, online platforms (Teams/Zoom) and social media.
- Assist in organising meetings, forums and engagement sessions, ensuring they are accessible and inclusive.
- Maintain accurate records and support data entry, including learning to use and manage information within the Dementia Voice database.

- Coordinating and supporting involvement activities that gather insight from people affected by dementia.

About the role 

NCDA is seeking a motivated Policy and Advocacy Officer to support the delivery of a multi-year project focused on advancing national and regional implementation of global noncommunicable disease (NCD) commitments, and to coordinate PAA’s input into global accountability processes, and regional advocacy programs and global campaigns, with a particular focus on government relations and accountability. 

The Policy Advocacy and Accountability team (PAA) is looking for a Policy and Advocacy Officer to play a key role in delivering integrated planning across these programs, and key elements of these plans, as outlined: 

1. Tracking NCD Accountability processes and coordinating PAA’s policy development and engagement 

• Support PAA’s tracking and engagement with the WHO process for the extension of the NCD Global Monitoring Framework (GMF). 

• Assist in drafting materials, including consultation submissions, policy briefs, and advocacy tool content, to provide information to policymakers and partners. 

• Support global accountability policy development, coordinating network feedback, and liaising across the PAA unit for detailed advocacy content and inputs in specific impact areas. 

1. Regional advocacy and implementation support 

• Coordinate PAA priorities and input into the Advocacy Institute’s Regional Programme to help Regional Alliances hold governments accountable for UN High-Level Meeting (HLM) commitments. 

• Support Advocacy Institute (AI) regional alliance engagement in global advocacy campaigns with a specific focus on global accountability policy development and advocacy, the 3rd NCD Financing Dialogue (Manila, September 2026), and UHC accountability processes (e.g. UHC-ACT), and the build-up to the UN HLM on UHC. 

• Support regional strategy development, including the utilization of existing PAA content and the creation and delivery of advocacy and accountability tools for priority topics. 

• Coordinate policy inputs from PAA for Capacity Development-led activities, primarily the regional alliance convenings and NCDA’s Global Forum in 2028. 

• Coordinate PAA contributions to Advocacy Institute Alliances’ engagement with WHO Regional Committee Meetings (RCMs). 

1. Government Relations and Systems Coordination 

• Liaise with the Capacity Development (CD) team to improve systems and coordination for government contacts and intel sharing, particularly in countries with AI national and regional alliances. 

• Identify opportunities to showcase national and regional NCD policy successes on the global stage. 

• Support cross-unit improvements in planning and managing government relations between the PAA unit as well as capitals and regional intergovernmental bodies corresponding with AI grantees. 

• Maintain and update systems for tracking interactions with partners, policymakers, and other stakeholders. 

1. Support the planning and delivery of key events in the run-up to the Global Week for Action Campaign (GW4A). 

• Support planning, development, and delivery of a strong campaign during the GW4A. 

• Work closely with the Comms and GW4A team on campaign deliverables in the lead up to the GW4A, to be held mid-September (date TBC) on the theme of Leadership and policy implementation. 

• Support the transition of campaign focus from HLM4 toward UHC HLM-related calls in 2027.

Experience and skills:

• University degree in public policy, international affairs, or health-related subject with a minimum of 2 years of relevant job or internship experience. 

• Experience supporting advocacy campaigns for non-profit organizations. 

• Knowledge of global health and the WHO. 

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. 

• Excellent writing and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to draft reports, briefs, and presentations.

ROLDA (Romanian League in Defence of Animals) is an international animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats and other vulnerable animals in Romania and beyond.  OVERALL OBJECTIVES

· Develop, deliver and implement a service for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse living in refuge accommodation.

· To work in partnership with mothers/carers to identify children and young people’s support needs and to ensure those needs are met.

· To work with respect and response to the cultural needs of children and families of ethnic minority backgrounds.

· Provide direct support to a caseload of children and young people experiencing or affected by domestic abuse, working with them to assess risk and support them with safety planning and recovery from abuse.

· Work closely with other PDAP C&YP workers to develop resources/ activities and therapeutic interventions for children and young people who have experienced DA. 

· Develop and implement clear pathways for this service with mothers/carers and our partners, schools and social care services and with our existing service users ensuring accessible routes to support for those that need it.

· Work with children and young people to support them to shape the service to best meet their needs.

· Provide one to one and group work practical and emotional support to children and young people who have/are experiencing domestic abuse ensuring all support is delivered safely.

· To advocate for children and young people with any other agencies who may be involved in their care such as schools, CSC, health etc.

· To complete verbal feedback and written reports to social care when required

· To implement and maintain standards of excellence throughout service delivery ensuring all client records are recorded in line with PDAP policies and procedures.

Experience of charity finance and working with fundraising teams would be an advantage.

About the team

 Shelter’s Finance Team sits within the Strategy Enablement Directorate, which also includes HR Operations, Technology and Data, and Governance, Planning and Property. The Finance Team consists of 32 people led by the Assistant Director of Finance.

This role sits within the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team. FP&A produces financial reports and analysis, provides expert advice, and enables collaboration to support effective decision making throughout the charity.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, reporting to the Financial Transaction Team Officers and working alongside other assistants and trainees. Focusing specifically on Treasury and AR activities, you'll gain broad experience across cash management, income processing, and receivables. From recording and processing financial transactions to supporting month-end and year-end processes, you'll monitor daily communications and role-model brilliant partnership and customer service, support reconciliations and audits, and work in an agile way across multiple projects and workstreams.

Every person living with dementia has a story. A lifetime of memories, relationships, routines and hopes for the future. A diagnosis does not change that story, but it does change the path ahead.

As a Dementia Navigator with Alzheimer’s Society, you will walk alongside people at one of the most vulnerable points in their lives. You will listen carefully. You will help them make sense of what is happening. You will support them to plan, adapt and stay connected to the things that matter most.
 
Working in close partnership with the NHS across Bristol, you will be part of a multi disciplinary team committed to helping people live well after diagnosis. This is not simply a signposting role. It is about building trusted relationships over time, understanding each person’s unique journey and ensuring they feel informed, confident and in control.

You will manage your own caseload of people newly diagnosed with dementia, alongside those who need ongoing support as their needs change. This role builds on work that we have been doing for decades to support and empower LGBT people who have experienced sexual abuse or violence. Your work will enable LGBT people to feel supported, heard and empowered in the face of sexual abuse and violence, and pave the way to a safer future for our community.
 
You will be joining our advocacy and support team, supporting LGBT survivors across London. You will work directly with LGBT victims/survivors, offering them a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and offering assistance in getting what they need from services. Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of sexual abuse or violence, including issues such as attending a sexual assault referral centre (SARC), support with the criminal and civil justice process, providing support at court during trial, safety, and access to other services to enable survivors to cope and recover. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care.
 
You will work with mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented in order to make change for our community at a local and national level. You will also work closely with key partner organisations by attending meetings and have the opportunity to take part in external work to ensure a joined-up approach among services working with LGBT people facing abuse and violence.

Reporting to: Community & Challenge Events Manager

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, normal office hours are 9:00 to 5:00, 37.5 hours per week.  Flexibility is available around start and finish times.

Location: Hybrid working – Minimum 40% of working time to be spent in the office based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Includes occasional local, regional and national travel.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious fundraiser with a track-record in income generation. This role forms an integral part of the Community & Challenge team, a small team that works with supporters including individuals, local businesses, schools, our beneficiaries, and community groups.

Job purpose

• To develop community fundraising activity and campaigns to support Willow’s strategic income goals.
• To work across Community and Challenge Events to deliver agreed financial and non-financial targets.
• To proactively develop relationships within the community including companies, schools, groups and organisations to raise income and awareness.
• Develop innovative fundraising initiatives with the Senior Community Fundraiser informed by sector insights and trends.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of Community, Challenge, and wider Fundraising Team targets.

Main duties/responsibilities

• To support and deliver the Community Fundraising strategy within agreed budgets to achieve financial and non-financial targets.
• To raise awareness of our work and to inspire support through the following activities:
• To steward our network of fundraising supporters to maintain engagement and build loyalty, by providing a highly personalised approach to supporting Willow’s fundraisers ensuring our supporters receive a positive experience throughout their fundraising activity, including sending thank you communications and ongoing stewardship. 25%
• To develop proactive relationships with various organisations within the community setting, including, schools, societies, community groups and companies. 25%
• To deliver presentations to a variety of community audiences. 5%
• To organise and deliver a calendar of fundraising activity that creates opportunities for supporters to help Willow. Ensure participation and income targets are achieved.  10%
• To develop the charity’s social media fundraising activity in collaboration with the wider team.10%
• Collaborate closely with the Communications Team, to help plan and develop multi-channel campaigns including on and offline activity that inspire and engage people. 5%
• To work with the Communications Team to produce campaign materials, share interesting stories and fundraising updates. Prepare content for newsletters, website, and social media. 5%
• To develop a team of volunteers to support fundraising activity. This could include delivering talks, attending events, and promoting Willow at community events. 10%
• To foster relationships with Willow’s network of charity shops and explore collaborative opportunities to mutually support each other's initiatives. 5%
• To ensure accurate recording of supporter information and reporting on activity through:
• Updating the charity’s database, Raisers Edge (RE) recording all donor contact and fundraising activity.
• Using RE as a tool to aid fundraising using data insight and reporting
• To prepare end of campaign reports to improve results for future campaigns and capture learnings.
• To prepare regular income reports and updates as required.
• To keep up- to- date and comply with the rules as set by the Fundraising Regulator, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other relevant legislation and codes of practice and good practice.
• To keep up to date with changes and trends in the UK fundraising environment
• To undertake any other tasks required

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in Community Fundraising.
• Proven record of accomplishment in delivering and meeting targets
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
• Well organised with attention to detail
• Ability to inspire and influence others to support Willow
• Ability to develop, motivate and manage individuals and groups of individuals
• Ability to manage several projects and tasks simultaneously and skilled at prioritising
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Effective negotiating and influencing skills
• Strong numeracy skills
• Decisive problem solver with the ability to adapt easily to change
• Innovative outlook and a willingness to suggest new ideas.

Desirable

• Experience of producing fundraising reports for activity and outcomes
• Experience in delivering fundraising campaigns and initiatives
• Fundraising database experience – preferably Raiser’s Edge
• Experience of working in the charity / fundraising sector.

Other

• Regular travel across the county (occasional national travel) will be required. Willing to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
• Full driving license and access to a car
