Hope into Action is an inspiring story.  It starts with a couple, Ed and Rach Walker, who decide to use £30,000 of their own money to buy a house for people who were homeless in Peterborough in 2010.  And from this seed, an organisation has grown which 16 years later has 134 houses and has seen over £34 million invested in homes for people who were homeless.

Hope into Action is a story of how faith in God has been put into action and led to resources being shared, new relationships being formed and people’s lives being transformed.

Last year we housed over 500 people who had been homeless. Each of those individuals has a story to share of how Hope into Action has helped them. This is the story we want to share.

The Communications & Engagement Lead is responsible for implementing Hope into Action’s communications and engagement strategy. Working closely with the CEO, they will be responsible for telling the Hope into Action story and driving increased engagement with our vision for every church in the UK to be engaged in ending homelessness.

At least 50% of the role is harvesting stories from around our Network to create engaging content which expresses our vision and mission. We want someone who can be both responsive and strategic. To hear a story from our frontline workers and be able to share it on our website and social media later that day – whilst also working towards the longer term goal of more people in the UK being aware of our work and its impact.

The Events Assistant will support EFN to plan and deliver our annual programme of 50+ events.

Location: Working from home, ideally within 90 minutes of London by train. Regular travel to London will be required for in-person events, with occasional travel to other parts of the UK.

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Contract: Fixed Term Contract for one year, subject to a six-month probationary period.

Hours: 0.5 FTE/2.5 days a week (17.5 hours) to include Tuesdays and with a flexible working schedule to cover events as needed. For any extended hours worked through event or travel time, time off in lieu (TOIL) will be provided.

About the role

Events are at the heart of how EFN brings its community together, creating spaces for our funder and fundraiser networks to connect, learn and collaborate. The Events Assistant will support the Programme Team to plan and deliver our annual programme of 50+ events.

EFN’s Programme Team is made up of our Scotland Lead, Funder Network Lead, Environmental Groups Lead and Head of Developing Philanthropy. Each of these roles produces events targeted at different audiences, ranging from new philanthropists and wealth advisors to funders and fundraisers. 

About you

This is a varied and hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine enjoyment of bringing people together. You will be highly organised and confident in taking responsibility for the end-to-end logistics, coordination and delivery of events, ensuring they run smoothly and leave attendees feeling informed, connected and inspired.

• Demonstrable experience coordinating events, either online or in person, from planning through to delivery.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Drive team in Lancashire following the expansion of the service. We are looking for a Co-ordinator to provide the administration for our DAPP’s (Domestic Abuse Perpetrator Panels). We are looking for someone who believes in behaviour change work and who has an interest in working closely with the Police and our partners to take forward this critical role within the service. 

The Role

The Co-ordinator will receive and process referrals into Drive and will produce agenda’s and minutes for monthly multi-agency DAPP meetings. You will provide administrative support to the wider team and access the police systems to research information for the panel. You will support the Service Manager in providing data for reporting to Drive Central and the commissioners. 

About you

You will bring a solid foundation of IT, English and numeracy skills, supported by confidence using Microsoft applications and managing high-volume workloads. You can adapt to changing demands, communicate clearly in writing and in person, and work well as part of a team. Experience in areas such as domestic abuse, violence against women and girls, or offender management is helpful, as is familiarity with police or or offender-related systems. You understand risk, safeguarding, and the behaviours associated with domestic abuse, and you can apply this knowledge when handling information or supporting multi-agency work.

This role suits someone who can plan their workload, follow set procedures, and work with a variety of internal and external contacts. You will represent the service professionally, maintain confidentiality, and support the ongoing delivery of the Drive Project.

About the Role

The PR team is responsible for generating, sustaining and growing the charity’s income year after year by communicating the work, ministry and financial needs of Caring For Life to a wide range of audiences.

The Trust Fundraiser will focus primarily on securing funding from Trusts, Foundations and grant-making bodies, whilst also helping to nurture relationships with major donors and exploring opportunities for corporate support.

As part of the PR team, the successful candidate will also support wider PR activities during busy periods, including Open Days, Supporters’ Days, formal visits and practical tasks at peak times.

Organisational Structure

The PR team is line managed by the Executive Director, with additional support from the CEO regarding pastoral insight and communication with churches and other Christian groups.

Background Information

Caring For Life has an established and respected Trust fundraising programme, with longstanding relationships built over many years. Alongside carefully stewarding these relationships, the charity continually researches and develops new funding opportunities.

At the end of the financial year 2026, income from Trusts totalled circa £265,000

Main Duties

• Undertake induction and training relevant to the role.
• Maintain and develop the existing Trusts database.
• Ensure reports and funding applications are submitted accurately and on time.
• Keep clear records of applications, correspondence, grants received and acknowledgements sent.
• Research new Trusts and funding opportunities using online systems, publications and resources such as Invisible Grantmakers.
• Work with project leaders and senior managers to identify fundable projects and budget requirements.
• Attend budget meetings and assist staff in understanding funding allocations.
• Prepare compelling funding proposals, reports and covering letters.
• Liaise with the Design and Media team regarding photography and supporting materials.
• Maintain records and communication with major donors as requested by the Executive Committee.
• Support and grow corporate donor relationships.
• Conduct all duties in a professional and Christ-like manner that honours the Lord Jesus Christ and protects the reputation of Caring For Life.
• Undertake relevant in-house and external training as required.

Please note that while this role has a primary focus within fundraising and PR, all appointments at Caring For Life are to the wider ministry of the Trust. Staff may occasionally be required to support other areas of work according to the needs of the ministry and the welfare of beneficiaries.

The Programme Officer will play an integral role in the Impact team within the broader Directorate of Impact and External Affairs. This is a pivotal time for Fight for Sight as we begin to implement our Impact Framework enabling us to communicate the impact of our extensive portfolio of current and past funded research projects to our internal and external audiences.

Sheffield Community Bike Project is a not-for-profit community cycle repair workshop that aims to improve access to cycling through three main activities:

• Free (donations appreciated) access to tools and workshop space for DIY cycle repairs, with support from our volunteer team. This includes some sessions for specific groups.

• Offering affordable new and used parts, and refurbished second-hand bikes for sale.

• Focussed cycle maintenance training sessions to upskill our community.

The CEO will lead Sheffield Community Bike Project to successfully carry out its charitable aims, working closely with the Board of Trustees, Bike Project Manager and volunteers. This will include providing strategic leadership, building the organisation's long-term sustainability, securing the funding that enables our work, and supervision of any other paid staff. Having taken on workshop premises in September 2024, we are now working to increase the number of sessions that we run, streamline our volunteer and participant experience, and expand the breadth of provision that we offer. As Senior Supporter Retention Officer (Appeals and Islamic Giving), you will lead the development of supporter-led, multi-channel fundraising campaigns. You'll design bespoke supporter journeys for key audiences, including Islamic givers and mid-value supporters. As our Chief Operating Officer, you will join our Senior Management Team and take clear ownership of Envision's finance, compliance, HR governance, and operational efficiency. This is a newly defined role – created to give the function the senior leadership it needs and to free the CEO to focus on external leadership, fundraising, and strategy. 

You will join an SMT of four, working alongside the Director of Programmes and Impact and the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, led by the CEO. It is a collegiate team that operates with a high degree of mutual trust and collective ownership – and we are looking for someone who is as comfortable in a strategic conversation about Envision's future as they are reviewing a set of management accounts. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Play an active role in SMT – contributing operational and financial insight to organisational planning, strategy development, and decision-making alongside the CEO and senior leadership team. 

• Lead finance oversight and board reporting: overseeing monthly and quarterly management accounts, leading the annual budget-setting process, owning the audit cycle, and preparing papers for the Finance, Audit and Risk Governance (FARG) Committee. 

• Own HR policy and governance: maintaining Envision's HR framework, handling complex employee relations matters, and overseeing the full employee lifecycle with execution led by the Business Admin and Finance Officer. 

• Line manage the Finance Manager and Business Admin and Finance Officer, providing clear direction and developing a high-performing team. 

• Lead operational improvement: conducting a review of processes and systems, building a live improvement register, and implementing agreed changes through to completion – not just to proposal. 

• Explore and pilot AI and automation tools for high-friction tasks. Genuine curiosity and willingness to experiment matters more than technical expertise. 

• Hold compliance and risk governance oversight – GDPR, Health and Safety, regulatory filings – ensuring a clear calendar of requirements is owned and met. 

Essential Experience, Knowledge and Competencies 

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), or demonstrable equivalent finance expertise. 

• Proven experience in a senior operational leadership role with finance oversight responsibility. 

• Experience of audit management and board-level financial reporting. 

• Track record of leading and developing small teams. 

• Working knowledge of GDPR and charity compliance obligations. 

• Demonstrable ability to operate at a strategic and governance level 

• Experience leading operational process or systems improvement, from diagnosis through to implementation. 

• Active interest in AI and automation tools, with a practical approach to exploring and applying them. 

• Commitment to Envision's vision, mission and values and ability to work well in, and contribute to, our organisational culture.

The role: Family Support Worker (Bereavement)

As a Family Support Worker at Addiction Family Support, you will be responsible for delivering a range of services to provide crucial emotional and practical assistance to individuals bereaved (and affected) by the loss of a loved one due to addiction. Through both individual and group support, you will offer a compassionate and understanding presence, helping people navigate grief and loss in a safe and supportive environment.

Our service delivery takes place via several methods, including taking calls on our telephone Helpline, responding to emails through our email service and delivering remote 5-Step Method informed intervention to individuals and groups via an online platform.

Working patterns are flexible and you may be expected to work on a rota basis, and we would hope to be able to offer more hours per week in time when funding allows it.

You will need to be confident in your ability to provide support via a variety of remote and digital platforms, being able to respond to immediate requests for support. You will be an active and involved member of our team and contribute to all aspects of our work to help us achieve our strategic goals and work towards achieving our vision.

Responsibilities:

• Offer empathetic and non-judgmental structured emotional and practical support to those affected by the bereavement of a loved one due to addiction (via a Helpline and 5-Step Method informed one to one and group support).
• Provide or signpost information, literature, and resources to help individuals and groups manage grief and cope with their situations.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate bereavement support group meetings, creating a safe space for participants to share their experiences and provide mutual support.
• Follow guidelines and safeguarding practices - ensuring safeguarding concerns are addressed promptly and signpost individuals to additional services where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR and the charity’s policies.

Our client is looking for a Pensions & Expenses Finance Support Officer to join its busy finance team.

In this role, you’ll work as part of the wider finance team to manage the financial processing for our pension scheme, and you’ll look after all aspects of the expenses claim process for staff and external claimants. The role will involve use of our finance software packages Business Central and Continia, and our expenses platform Webexpenses. You will liaise with our union affiliates to ensure their timely membership returns, and work with management accounts colleagues to prepare prepayment and accruals journals and make sure expenses are coded to the right budget.

You’ll be based in our client's Finance team and work closely with colleagues across all functions of the team.

What experience, skills, knowledge and understanding do you need? 

• You will be AAT qualified, or have the experience to demonstrate the ability to achieve the qualification
• You’ll have excellent attention to detail and have experience of checking expense claims or other financial records to ensure accuracy

• You’ll be confident with IT systems, both those you are familiar with and those that are new

About the role

As Senior Supporter Retention Officer (Loyalty and Regular Giving), you will lead the development of supporter-led, multi-channel fundraising campaigns. You’ll design bespoke supporter journeys that build loyalty and develop regular giving campaigns, including upgrade, conversion and reactivation. You’ll play a pivotal role in strengthening relationships with both long-standing and new supporters of MAP, helping to grow sustainable income from existing audiences to fund vital medical aid.

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

Hours: 30 hours per week. As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota. Operating hours of the service 8am- 6pm Monday- Friday with the expectation to work on some days 8- 4pm or 10- 6pm to cover duty shifts.

We are recruiting for a Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) who will be working closely with survivors of domestic, and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support, guidance and advice to survivors across all risk levels and their children.

In this role the Duty IGVA is a part of a busy team. The Duty IGVA will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre by other professionals. The Duty IGVA also will be responsible for processing any self-referrals of individuals contacting the service and wishing to access support. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for responding to daily enquiries from partnership agencies, public and impacted individuals over the phone and email.

In some circumstances the Duty IGVA will be contacting survivors directly to assess their level of risk and needs to ensure eligibility. The Duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs assessments. The Duty IGVA will ensure an effective handover of the case to the relevant team for ongoing support.

The Duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The Duty IGVA will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety. The jobalso  involves working in a fast-paced environment.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.
