Job summary for Head of Health Information and Education

The Head of Health Information and Education is a key role at Bowel Cancer UK, leading the delivery of our health information and health professional education. We currently provide high quality support, but we know we need to do even more, reach more people and have an even greater impact.

The Head of Health Information and Education will, alongside our Clinical Lead, lead the development and delivery of our services in this area. This is a pivotal role with key areas of focus:

• Drive innovation in health information.
• Drive innovation in the content and delivery of health professional education.
• Expand our reach and accessibility to ensure no one faces bowel cancer alone.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
• Champion technology and digital solutions to enhance service delivery.

You’ll work closely with the Director and the Services Leadership team to set strategic direction and ensure our services are impactful, inclusive, and evidence based.

What you'll do:

Carrying out holistic assessments of new customers which incorporate relevant statutory referral information
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and external partners, creating a positive atmosphere
Conducting regular key work sessions that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
Key-working the most complex service-users with particular needs aligned with Drug and Alcohol dependency
Creating support plans for providing appropriate services based on on-going assessment and reflecting the services and resources available to enable customers to progress in their recovery
Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
Providing support and access to relevant services to enable customers to continue their recovery and empower customers to self-manage their medication regimes through individual re-enablement programmes and informed decision making
Undertaking support work in partnership with external stakeholders to compliment their interventions, leading on partnering with specialist stakeholders;
Upskilling staff team in particular area of expertise - Drug and Alcohol dependency.

What you'll bring:

Essential:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area (e.g. substance misuse, addiction, psychology, Health and Social Care,).
Experience building and developing strong professional partnerships with external providers.
A minimum of 2 years experience in complex needs services, community development, addiction counselling, drug and alcohol work or other related fields.
Good written and oral communication skills
Desirable:

2-3 years experience providing targeted recovery focussed support to individuals with needs around trauma, mental health, substance use and dual diagnosis.

Job Description

Join Catch22 as our Interim Payroll Specialist and play a central role in delivering a best-in-class payroll service for our people. You’ll lead a proactive, customer-focused payroll function, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately and on time, and supporting smooth onboarding. The Payroll Team is responsible for ensuring that salaries are paid correctly, on time and in compliance with HMRC rules. Based in Brasted (with hybrid working), you’ll oversee all aspects of payroll delivery, manage the iTrent system, and work closely with People, Finance, and the wider organisation. You’ll provide clear payroll advice, mentor people coordinators, and help shape and automate processes for an excellent user experience.

We’re looking for someone with initiative, strong payroll expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to improve efficiency and support our inclusive culture. As the Payroll Specialist you will be solely responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s payroll and pension schemes are run in the most efficient manner, ensuring accurate payments are made to staff on time, and ensuring that all tax law and other associated regulations are complied with. You will have the ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to work, be able and comfortable to work unsupervised and work across teams to solve problems and to be able to improve the efficiency of the existing processes. You will also need to manage various priorities and work within tight deadlines and provide an excellent customer focused service to every customer whether internal or external and ensure that issues are resolved on the first occasion wherever possible. You will develop close working relationships with colleagues in the People Services team as well as other key corporate and group functions to promote best practice to achieve accurate payroll processing.

Experience

We are looking for someone that has:

• A full membership (or equivalent) of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and a commitment to continuous learning
• Degree or relevant professional qualification
• Knowledge of MHR iTrent System
• Systems and digital solutions knowledge
• HMRC guidance and pension legislation knowledge
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, legislation and procedures.
• Proficiency in payroll software - iTrent / People First

Additional information

• Salary in the range of £49,000 to £53,000 per annum
• Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday - 9 am-5 pm.

• To support the coordination of ongoing partnership projects running with Southern Water and the Catchment Hosts/Catchment Partnership. 

What you’ll be doing: 

You’ll oversee and coordinate projects that improve water quality, water resource resilience and nature recovery in the catchment, making the link between water company activity and environmental improvement; notably the WINEP programme. You’ll combine environmental expertise and knowledge of the water sector with project management skills to ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects that have a positive impact on the environment, Southern Water outcomes, Catchment Partnership outcomes and local communities.

You’ll coordinate project planning and support delivery between Southern Water and the Test & Itchen Catchment Partnership (TICP), to ensure Southern Water projects are co-developed with wider stakeholders (where applicable). We’re looking for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our ambitious Public Fundraising team, this is an new role within our Individual Giving Team. 

You’ll have experience inspiring fundraising groups, delivering mass in-aid of fundraising products, and motivating volunteers and individuals to fundraise on our behalf. You’ll build strong internal and external relationships, use audience insight and sector trends to develop in-aid of fundraising initiatives and deliver an impactful suite of community-led products. In delivering the Community Fundraising programme, you’ll bring expertise in digital marketing, strategic thinking, and mass audience engagement. You’ll share our ambition to drive growth through fundraising products and activations, working closely with colleagues across the charity to maximise donor lifetime value. 

You’ll be someone who can effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to champion the role Public Fundraising plays. You’ll enjoy monitoring donor trends, being data-led, and testing and learning across all Community Fundraising income streams. 

This role involves travel and overnight stays when required. 

What it's like to work here

You’ll be working in a newly formed team with the Head of Individual Giving. You’ll be building a new income stream from the ground up, drawing on learnings from existing streams and identifying opportunities to grow and develop the programme to meet our exciting fundraising goals. 

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and you’ll be expected to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you work at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40–60% of your working week. This will be discussed further at interview. 

What you'll be doing

This role presents an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inspiring donors, fundraising groups, and volunteers. You’ll play a key role in developing this new income stream with internal partners, organisation wide. 

You’ll manage all areas of Community Fundraising, including supporter groups, in-aid of fundraising, and in-memory giving. You’ll identify levers to inspire donors, raise more money for critical conservation work, and create exceptional donor experiences. You’ll think across the lifetime of a donor’s relationship with us and collaborate with other teams to engage donors where they are. 

Who we're looking for

• Experience developing mass fundraising strategies and growing six-figure-plus community fundraising income streams, including mass in-aid of asks, in-memory giving, and supporter groups.

• Strong project management experience, including using data, sector trends, and audience insight to develop marketing campaigns, compelling fundraising propositions, stewardship journeys, and lifetime value plans, with a view to connecting with diverse communities.

• Experience building strong relationships with external agencies and internal stakeholders (including supporter groups, volunteers, properties, and in-memory supporters) while ensuring an audience-first approach and championing Community Fundraising.

• Knowledge of six-figure-plus Community Fundraising product life cycles and experience delivering mass-scale fundraising budgets, including monitoring CPA, ROI, KPIs, and retention rates.

• Experience developing and implementing lifetime value journeys integrated with wider charity communications, including knowledge of donor motivations and segmentation, storytelling, and effectively communicating the charity’s mission and impact.

WWT is the charity for wetlands.

This is a critical role in the recently restructured Operations Directorate at WWT. As Assistant Director, you will be directly responsible for the performance of our 7 Wetland Discovery sites. About You

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Active Journeys Team as our new Project Officer.

As the Project Officer you will work closely with three existing Project Officers in the project area, and one officer working remotely, to engage with selected schools. You will also work closely alongside colleague for Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole (BCP) Council, who fund the project.  You will support these schools to inspire, encourage and enable more pupils and their families to walk, wheel, cycle and scoot to school. 

You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities across BCP, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, wheeling, cycling and scooting) to school. This will be achieved through planning and delivering practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also support the successful delivery of BCP Council’s School Streets programme, both for new and existing schemes.

You will work closely with relevant teams at BCP Council and other key stakeholders to achieve the biggest impact through collaborative working.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people from all backgrounds, especially children and young people, where no day is the same and who is passionate about helping others benefit from pedal powered journeys.

We ask that you have experience in the following areas:

• Experience of working with children and young people.
• Understanding of active travel and issues facing communities that experience inequalities.
• Awareness of national standards of community engagement.
• Knowledge and understanding of behaviour change theories and tools including the COM-B model
• Knowledge of safeguarding principles and best practice.
• Experience of managing small clearly defined projects or experience of delivering work packages as part of a project.
• Experience with communicating with different audiences and adapting your approach.
• Proven problem-solving skills (analytical and proactive).
