We’re looking for a part-time Executive Assistant (20 hours per week) to support our Executive Leaders and help Samaritans continue to be there for people when it matters most.​

As an Executive Assistant, you’ll be highly organised and a great communicator. You’ll be responsible for providing highly efficient and effective support across all administrative and organisational activities. Working in a responsive team you will be one of the first points of contact for the Executive Leadership Team and will assist with administration and organisation of diaries for meetings and travel arrangements, preparing briefs and drafting a range of communications. You’ll attend key meetings in a supporting role and ensure efficiency and timely support to the Leadership team.​

​You’ll also assist with front-line reception administration services in the Ewell (Surrey) Office as required.

​

Contract terms:

£32,000 - £34,000 per annum, plus benefits (£18,285 - £19,428 pro-rata for 20 hours)

Permanent

Part-time, 20 hours per week

Predominately office Based in Ewell (Surrey), with occasional opportunity to work from home

Some occasional out of hours and weekend attendance at events/meetings.

​What you'll do:

• ​Manage the diaries of our Executive Leadership Team, prioritising demands where required
• Coordinate travel, accommodation and other logistical arrangements
• Prepare, check and administer paperwork for meetings, ensuring deadlines are communicated and met
• Provide coordination support to our Senior Leadership Team for key meetings and activities
• Draft correspondence for the Executive Directors and monitor responses
• Coordinate the preparation and dissemination of reports and documentation
• Liaise with key stakeholders on behalf of the Executive Leadership Team, building and maintaining positive relationships
• Provide reception cover when required

What you’ll bring:

• Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
• Knowledge of general office administrational functions
• Excellent organisation skills with proven ability to prioritise competing deadlines and demands
• Ability to produce clear documentation
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience of working with sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to maintain a professional approach, even when working under pressure
• Experience of working within the charity sector, and project support or project management is desirable.​

We are seeking to appoint 2 x Generalist Advisers to join our team and provide high quality generalist advice in community settings, supporting clients with practical, one-off advice, assisted information and signposting.  The post combines flexibility with frontline impact, including outreach.

You’ll have strong experience delivering generalist advice across multiple areas and managing a varied caseload. You’re confident providing holistic advice on welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment issues, and relationship breakdowns. You’ll be able to demonstrate excellent client‑facing skills, using sensitive listening and structured questioning to conduct effective interviews.

You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills enabling you to explain complex information clearly and negotiate effectively. You’ll be capable of researching, analysing and interpreting detailed information, and presenting it in an accessible way.

You’ll be able to maintain accurate case records and work consistently within organisational procedures and quality standards. You’ll understand the importance of equality and diversity in delivering fair and inclusive advice. You’ll be competent in using IT for case management, document production and research.

You’ll work well as part of a team, share learning, and contribute to service improvement. You’ll be committed to continuous professional development and expanding your knowledge across different advice areas.

You’ll be joining a friendly and high performing advice team who are supportive and inclusive and where development and training are built in.  You’ll be working to agreed targets and quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement in how we deliver outreach services.

A full driving licence, with access to a vehicle, is essential due to the large geographical area of our outreach services.

We're looking for a Fundraising and Communications Officer to create and distribute newsletters and emails and be the first port of call for new and existing donors. You will enjoy collating case studies and reports, learning about our impact in schools and ensuring that donors and funders have a positive and meaningful relationship with Classics for All. You’ll play a vital role in enabling our programmes to reach schools and students across the UK. About the Role

As Public Affairs and Campaigns Officer, you will lead on the development and delivery of impactful advocacy campaigns and public affairs activity, managing supporter journeys and mobilisation, as well as political engagement. It involves building strong relationships with parliamentarians, Samaritans branches and people with lived experience, while producing high‑quality campaign actions, briefings, events, and intelligence to influence change.

• Coordinate political engagement events.
• Provide secretariat support to relevant APPGs.

• Strong experience designing impactful advocacy campaigns.
• Solid understanding of public affairs and the Westminster environment.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship‑building skills.
• Highly organised, proactive and adaptable, with strong project and time‑management skills.
• (Desirable) Knowledge of suicide prevention and mental health policy, local and regional political structures, and experience within complex service‑delivery charities.​

As Communications Coordinator, you will play a central role in supporting the delivery of effective communications activity across this work. Team Leader - Carer Peer Support (Adult Mental Health)

£34,101 FTE, pro rata 28 hours per week, great benefits!

We are looking for someone to join our local, independent Carer-led charity, someone who has their own personal story of caring, able to use that lived experience as well as their professional skills and knowledge to help others. The postholder will collaborate extensively with our funding partner, South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, as well as other charity delivery partners to improve the identification of, and support for, unpaid family and friend Carers of adults with mental health needs. The work may also involve identifying children and young people in caring roles and brokering access to our Young Carers Support team.

As well as leading a small, part-time team of Carer Peer Support Workers, you will work alongside them, providing front-line, individual and group dedicated support (practical, social and clinical interventions). As well as coordinating services to assist Carers with their own wellbeing needs, you will enable Carers to provide well-informed care for their friends and family. You also will be our representative for the MH Trusts’ Triangle of Care Steering Group.
