We are recruiting a Peer Support Advocate to join our Healing Conversations (perinatal mental health) programme, supporting women affected by birth trauma, pregnancy loss, or baby loss.

As a Peer Support Advocate, you will provide compassionate, culturally responsive, trauma‑informed support through:

• Peer support groups (up to 12 sessions)
• Engagement with women in local communities and those living in Domestic abuse safe accommodation with our SafeRoots Partners
• Outreach across diverse communities
• Close collaboration with clinical partners, voluntary organisations, and with Sister Circle team

You will help women feel safe, listened too, and self-belief — using your lived experience and professional skills to foster healing and connection.

Volunteering Administrator FTC

The Volunteer Management team is responsible for embedding an organisational approach to volunteer engagement which enables volunteers to feel inspired, valued, supported, and connected to the charity, where they are a vital part of our community.

The Volunteering Administrator plays a significant part in contributing to the success of the team to deliver key parts of the volunteer journey (recruiting, induction, training, supporting, and retaining volunteers). The role is key to volunteer experience, maintaining good practice, developing a culture of positive engagement and raising the profile of volunteering internally and externally.

The role will be known internally as Volunteer Executive.

This is a 24-month FTC.

Key Responsibilities:

Administration, customer service and delivery

· Act as the first port of contact for internal and external enquiries, coordinating the shared volunteer email inbox.

· Acting as a key point of contact for the import, maintenance and integrity of volunteering data.

· Publish volunteer recruitment adverts on relevant external platforms.

· Coordinate the administration of volunteer recruitment and selection processes (including paperwork, referencing, ID badges etc) to ensure a fair and consistent approach is followed.

· Share key information, briefings, and timely reminders with volunteers ahead of their scheduled involvement.

· Send thank you messages to volunteers after they have contributed.

· Update Salesforce after volunteer activities to ensure accurate tracking of participation and engagement.

· Process volunteer expense claims in line with organisational procedures.

Collaboration and communication

· Collaborate with colleagues to ensure volunteer applications are responded to within agreed timescales.

· Work with colleagues to ensure accuracy, validity and reliability of volunteer data. Ensuring that it reflects volunteer contribution and delivers reliable insights.

· Take a proactive approach to understand external events and initiatives taking place across the charity, providing support on the requirements for successful volunteer involvement.

· Contribute to the production and distribution of resources for volunteer-involving events, including, but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, and training materials.

· Support the upkeep of volunteering information on internal communication channels, ensuring all relevant policies, reference materials and documents are made available and kept up to date.

· Post updates in our Facebook group, and other volunteer engagement forums, to help build our volunteer community and promote good practice.

· Gather volunteer case studies and testimonials and share them internally to support organisational learning and storytelling.

· Liaise with volunteers when they end their involvement, ensuring they feel supported and appreciated.

· Monitor feedback survey responses and escalate significant insights or concerns to relevant colleagues to support continuous improvement.

· Promote a positive culture that values and embeds the work of volunteers both internally and externally.

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

· Knowledge of IT packages such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

· Experience of working in a customer-service or people-facing environment.

· Experience of processing and/or handling personal (sensitive) data.

· Experience of working with databases.

· Some understanding of the principles and good practice of successful volunteer involvement including recruitment, selection, induction, training, support, recognition, and retention.

Ways of working:

As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Key Responsibilities:

 1. Training and Development

• Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
• Use adult learning principles to design and deliver creative, innovative, and bespoke training solutions aligned with local demand, strategic priorities, and funding requirements.
• Will deliver training through online learning systems, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and e-learning platforms.
• Develop and apply robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all training activities. Collect feedback, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements where required.
• Deliver both internal and external training sessions across TLC subject areas.
• Coordinate and facilitate job specific inductions for new starters, ensuring all staff receive ongoing professional development in line with the TLC training plan.
• Apply coaching and training expertise to support internal staff development and wellbeing.
• Work alongside Learning and Development Lead and Practice Teams to manage the online learning system, maintaining accurate and up to date records of mandatory and CPD training.

2. Income Generation

• Support the Learning and Development Lead to collaborate with TLC’s Development Team to identify and apply for funding opportunities to expand and enhance training services.
• Following successful funding applications, plan, deliver, and monitor training programs in line with funding agreements and outcomes.

3. Quality Assurance

• Support the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, and the Learning and Development Lead, in maintaining high quality standards and compliance with accreditation frameworks.
• Contribute to achieving and maintaining accredited quality awards through ongoing monitoring, review, and implementation of quality action plans.
• Work with the Operations Team to collect and analyse customer feedback and reviews, using insights to support continuous improvement, funding applications, and marketing initiatives.
• Support the Learning and Development Lead in ensuring all policies, procedures, and training materials are in place to support staff, volunteers, and placements, including induction and ongoing learning.

4. Partnership and Community Engagement

• Represent TLC at partnership meetings and events to promote training and development services.
• Support the Marketing and Communications Team in promoting services, sharing information, and engaging the local community through social media and other communication channels.
• Actively contribute to raising the profile of TLC through collaboration, partnership working, and effective promotion of training opportunities.

General

Partake in evening and weekend work as required. Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

Context

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.

Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.

This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.

Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.

Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.

Each Navigator will support around 40 kinship carers over the delivery year, holding a caseload of approximately 20 families at any one time.

You will be part of a wider delivery team including the Programmes Manager, Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager, research colleagues and other Kinship teams, working together to ensure the programme is delivered ethically, consistently and to a high standard

About the role:

The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.

Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.

This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.

The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.

You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing emotional and practical support to kinship carers.
• Advocating for kinship carers in meetings with professionals where appropriate.

• Establishing and facilitating a monthly support group for kinship carers in your area.

• Mapping local services and building relationships with organisations that can provide specialist support, training or activities for kinship families.

• Liaising with schools, local authorities and other professionals to coordinate support.

• Supporting kinship carers with challenges relating to the child(ren) in their kinship care.

• Signposting to relevant services, support organisations and Kinship training opportunities.

• Coordinating celebration and family events (including in Kinship Care Week).

• Supporting applications for grants for essential items or family breaks.

• Collaborate with the programme delivery team, researchers and evaluation partners, contributing insights and learning from practice to support programme improvement and evidence generation.
• Work closely with colleagues across Kinship, including Advice, Peer Support, Training, Communications and the Kinship Connected core team, to ensure joined-up support for kinship carers.
• Recognise, report, record, respond and refer safeguarding risks via our safeguarding process with the support for the safeguarding team.
• Follow and understand the organisational safeguarding policies.

• Maintain accurate, timely records of all activity, assessments, support plans, contacts and outcomes on Kinship’s CRM system (Salesforce) in line with organisational policy and programme protocols.

• Complete kinship carer needs assessments, SMART goal setting, reviews and outcome recording in accordance with the Kinship Navigator model and trial requirements.

• Follow all operational and data collection requirements of the pilot feasibility RCT, ensuring activity and outcomes are recorded consistently to support independent evaluation.

• Fully contribute to monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and learning processes, including collecting feedback and case studies that demonstrate impact.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience delivering direct support to vulnerable families or carers, including completing needs assessments and developing support plans.

• Experience providing structured one-to-one support, casework or family support over a defined period.

• Experience working directly in community settings or alongside local authority or partner organisations.

• Experience facilitating peer or support groups in community or online settings.

• Experience working with statutory, voluntary and community services, including liaising with professionals around the family.

• Experience recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

• Understanding of the challenges facing kinship carers and the children they care for, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.

• Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches when working with families.

• Awareness of how children’s social care, education, health or welfare systems affect families.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with kinship carers and professionals.

• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise work effectively and maintain clear professional boundaries.

• Excellent ability to maintain accurate case records and data using a CRM or case management system (e.g. Salesforce).

• Strong organisational and IT skills, including the ability to use digital systems for case management, communication and reporting.

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative delivery team.

The Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised individual to join our team as Administration Manager. As Manager of a small team of administration assistants, you will play a crucial role in coordinating administrative support across our Perth and Aberdeen offices, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation by providing support across several of the charity’s functions including fundraising, finance, marketing and operations.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar office or administration management role, ideally within the charity sector. They will be proactive in building positive relationships across the charity and will be confident managing projects, budgets and external suppliers. They will have experience of using CRM systems in a fundraising context, be solutions-focused and have a strong commitment to our mission.

This role will be based from our headquarters at Perth Airport, and occasional travel to our Aberdeen base will be required. SCAA supports flexible and hybrid working arrangements—our current approach typically includes two office days per week for those working on a hybrid basis. The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am—5pm.

Our Second Home (OSH) is the UK’s youth movement for people with refugee backgrounds. We support young people to build community, become leaders, and flourish into adulthood in the place they call home.

Each year, hundreds of young people from dozens of countries and living in London & Bristol take part in our residential programmes, leadership training and youth hubs. Our residentials are often the first step – immersive, relationship-rich spaces where young people connect, reflect and begin to see themselves as leaders. From there, many move into leadership training and take on volunteer roles within the movement.

Our work is youth-led and rooted in lived experience. We are now implementing our 2025–2028 strategy, focused on strengthening quality, embedding learning and ensuring our growth is sustainable and safe.

The Head of Programmes is a senior leadership role, reporting to the CEO and managing two senior colleagues. You will hold responsibility for the quality, coherence and safeguarding of all programme activity.

Programme Leadership & Strategy in Practice

• Lead implementation of OSH’s 2025–2028 programme strategy.

The purpose of the Development Manager is to build and maintain a portfolio of high value donors and prospects through proactive networking, identifying cultivation opportunities and thoughtful stewardship. With a focus range of £100,000 and above, the position will develop long-term, strategic partnerships with existing and potential high value supporters, where relationships and their impact will be measured from both a financial and non-financial perspective. 

The postholder must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high degree of lateral thinking within a small but hard-working team.

Main activities:

1) To raise funds in the form of high value gifts (focusing on £100,000 and above) through a variety of methods, including regular face-to-face meetings, attending conferences and participating in other activities by implementing a comprehensive programme to identify, research, cultivate and solicit high value donors who have the potential for significant, multi-year giving.

In this context, the postholder will be required to spend a considerable amount of the working week out of the office travelling and meeting in person with potential donors and their representatives.   

2) To manage and develop meaningful donor relationships, including with existing donors, by utilising a wide range of methods, including stewardship events and networking amongst existing donors and their contacts.

3) To actively participate in the implementation of the current high value fundraising strategy, leading change and adjusting plans based on experience and realistic assessments in order to meet pre-agreed targets. This includes supporting the ongoing development of all aspects of the strategy, such as the case for support, prospect research, donor recognition opportunities and individual donor development plans for high value donors and prospects.

4) To contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the team, taking a lead role in the annual planning and reporting process for high value donors, providing regular progress reports against income targets and ensuring high standards of accountability. This also includes ensuring written and electronic records of donors are maintained, in compliance with data protection legislation.

5) To represent, and act as an ambassador, for EMERGENCY UK at external events, promoting its work and values where and when possible.

Person specification:

• Senior level experience working with foundations, corporates, high and ultra-high net worth individuals, leading them from identification to giving annual and multi-year gifts at the high five and six-figure level
• Experience of working independently to identify and cultivate prospects and influencers who have the ability to make personal introductions to high and ultra-high net worth individuals
• Experience in implementing high value giving strategies and annual plans for high and ultra-high net worth individuals, including reporting on targets and KPIs

Purpose of the role:

The Energy Advice Coordinator will provide essential advice to people affected by spinal cord injury who are struggling with, or at risk of fuel poverty, helping them to improve their situation while recognising and responding to the unique challenges that spinal cord injury can bring. They will manage a caseload offering practical solutions, whilst developing referral pathways to connect them with relevant services to improve their energy efficiency and reduce their fuel costs.

The role will also lead the development of knowledge and skills across Back Ups’ staff and volunteer teams, developing easy to use resources and an understanding of when and how to escalate cases for more in-depth advice. They will work closely with sector charities and advice organisations to ensure a high quality of seamless support while creating a lasting legacy for people affected by spinal cord injury.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To provide impartial advice to householders on the telephone, at events or online group events.
• Make use of internal and external referral systems to ensure clients’ needs are met;
•  Respond to enquiries from the public, local authority staff, private and voluntary sectors or installers and, where appropriate, redirecting them to members of staff or other agencies;

Context

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a pioneering programme that could reshape how kinship families are supported across England.

Kinship is undertaking a pilot Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected, a Kinship Navigator programme designed to provide intensive, specialist support to kinship carers and help them navigate complex systems.

This is a multi-partner programme involving funders, independent evaluators, participating local authorities, internal delivery teams and kinship carers with lived experience.

Kinship Navigators are at the heart of delivery. You will work directly with kinship carers in the community and in their homes, providing intensive 1-to-1 support and facilitating local support groups, while working closely with local authority partners and other services.

Because the programme forms part of a pilot RCT, maintaining high-quality case records and accurate data collection is critical. Your work will contribute directly to the evidence base about what works for kinship families.

Each Navigator will support around 40 kinship carers over the delivery year, holding a caseload of approximately 20 families at any one time.

You will be part of a wider delivery team including the Programmes Manager, Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager, research colleagues and other Kinship teams, working together to ensure the programme is delivered ethically, consistently and to a high standard

About the role:

The Kinship Navigator provides intensive, time-limited support to kinship carers through the Kinship Connected programme, a structured six-month intervention designed to help kinship families stabilise placements and access the support they need.

Working directly with kinship carers, you will build trusting relationships while completing structured assessments, goal setting and reviews to help families strengthen support networks and navigate services such as children’s social care, education, health and community support.

This is a community-facing role, working directly with kinship carers in homes, community spaces and through co-location with local authority teams and partner organisations.

The role requires a combination of high-quality relational practice and disciplined case recording. As part of the pilot RCT, accurate documentation of activity, progress and outcomes is essential to ensure the programme can be evaluated and improved.

You will work closely with the Programmes Manager, delivery team, researchers and local authority partners to ensure the programme is delivered consistently, ethically and to a high standard, with a strong commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion in supporting kinship families from all backgrounds.

• Maintain accurate, timely records of all activity, assessments, support plans, contacts and outcomes on Kinship’s CRM system (Salesforce) in line with organisational policy and programme protocols.

• Complete kinship carer needs assessments, SMART goal setting, reviews and outcome recording in accordance with the Kinship Navigator model and trial requirements.

• Follow all operational and data collection requirements of the pilot feasibility RCT, ensuring activity and outcomes are recorded consistently to support independent evaluation.

• Fully contribute to monitoring, reporting, quality assurance and learning processes, including collecting feedback and case studies that demonstrate impact.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience delivering direct support to vulnerable families or carers, including completing needs assessments and developing support plans.

• Experience providing structured one-to-one support, casework or family support over a defined period.

• Experience working directly in community settings or alongside local authority or partner organisations.

• Experience facilitating peer or support groups in community or online settings.

• Experience working with statutory, voluntary and community services, including liaising with professionals around the family.

• Experience recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

• Understanding of the challenges facing kinship carers and the children they care for, or the ability to develop this knowledge quickly.

• Understanding of trauma-informed and strengths-based approaches when working with families.

• Awareness of how children’s social care, education, health or welfare systems affect families.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with kinship carers and professionals.

• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise work effectively and maintain clear professional boundaries.

• Excellent ability to maintain accurate case records and data using a CRM or case management system (e.g. Salesforce).

• Strong organisational and IT skills, including the ability to use digital systems for case management, communication and reporting.

• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative delivery team.

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day operations of our London office, supporting approximately 90 colleagues while ensuring an excellent experience for visitors. This pivotal role is responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant, efficient, and productive workplace environment.

As this is a brand-new position at ISHA, we are looking for someone who can quickly get up to speed, assess our current facilities management approach, and develop a robust forward looking strategy that reflects best practice for an organisation of our size. The successful candidate will lead on building safety compliance, workplace adjustments, maintenance, contractor management, sustainability initiatives, and continuous improvement of our office standards.

You will also play a key role in designing and delivering an office improvement programme aimed at modernising and refreshing our workspace—creating a welcoming, energising, and professional environment for colleagues, residents, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the office premises, ensuring all systems (HVAC, lighting, plumbing, etc.) operate effectively.
• Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules as well as reactive repairs.
• Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective service delivery.
• Collate, analyse, and present monthly reports, including key performance indicator (KPI) information.
• Ensure adherence to ISHA’s health and safety policies and procedures, acting as a key member of ISHA’s Health & Safety Forum.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in facilities management, ideally within a similar organisational setting.
• Qualified with a relevant facilities management certification.
• Confident in managing contractors, service contracts, and supplier relationships.
• Able to prioritise a varied workload and respond calmly and efficiently to urgent issues.
• Skilled in building strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
