What You'll Do
You will play a vital role in expanding Rape Crisis South London’s prevention, awareness-raising, and income-generating activities within the Fundraising & Communications team. You will deliver trauma-informed training, workshops, and briefings – rooted in our decade’s long specialist experience — to challenge myths, break the silence around sexual violence, and embed supportive cultures across partner organisations. You will build sustainable partnerships, especially with corporate businesses, not-for-profit agencies, schools, universities and youth settings, that both deepen our impact and help grow our income through funded training and prevention programmes. In doing so, you’ll ensure prevention and awareness remains central to our mission, while enabling our organisation to scale services and income in a way that upholds the highest training standards.

A little bit about you
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience working with young people aged 14-25 and a track record of building trusted relationships with them. You will understand the issues facing care and social work experienced young people, along with the policy landscape shaping children’s social care. You will have practical experience running engagement and facilitation activities, and ideally some familiarity with co-production and youth-led approaches. Background in the social care or youth sector is important, along with solid safeguarding knowledge, and any experience reporting to funders would be a plus.
We have a fast-moving culture within the team and organisation, so we’re looking for someone who is who is well organised, details-focused and can use their initiative to do what works. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to build relationships with people and be willing to learn. We are looking for a passionate and people-focused Community Organising Officer to help communities create lasting positive change for nature, climate and local wellbeing.
What you'll be doing:
This exciting role sits within our Wilder Streets, Wilder Lives programme, which works alongside communities facing barriers to accessing nature and environmental opportunities. Using a community organising approach, you will help local people identify priorities, build connections, develop leadership skills and take action to improve their neighbourhoods for both people and wildlife.
Working closely with residents, community groups, local authorities and project partners, you will support the co-design and delivery of a wide range of initiatives, including community greening projects, volunteering opportunities, sustainable living workshops, environmental training, BioBlitzes and community events.
At the heart of this role is relationship building. You will spend time listening to communities, understanding local needs and strengths, and helping people turn ideas into meaningful action. Through your work, you will empower individuals and groups to become confident leaders and champions for nature in their own neighbourhoods.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your own skills through specialist training in Community Organising and Climate Literacy, alongside learning from experienced partners and colleagues.

Role Description

The Head of Employer Partnerships role is to make sure we achieve our partner growth, resubscription and revenue targets. RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice.
