About the role

The Bevan Foundation has an exciting opportunity within its high impact policy and research team. This is a unique opportunity to make a contribution to our programme of work and to develop ideas to solve poverty. The post holder will also deputise for the CEO providing an opportunity to contribute to the development of the organisation’s strategic direction.

About you

You will have expertise in Welsh policy and politics, as well as an excellent research and analytical skills, superb communications skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions.

Key terms

This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for an anticipated period of 12 months.

The current post holder works four days a week. The Foundation may consider appointing someone for a full working week and this is something that could be discussed at interview.

The full time equivalent salary for this post is £51,519 – £57,980. The expectation is that the candidate would normally be appointed at the bottom of the scale.

We work in a hybrid way, with staff expected be office-based for two to three days a week and to attend monthly in-person team meetings. The Foundation’s offices are in Merthyr Tydfil. We are also open to discussing remote working within Wales for the right candidate.

Winchester Action on the Climate Crisis (WinACC), established in 2007,  is a local charity with a big ambition. We want to see a world where nature and people thrive in harmony together. Working closely with the Executive Director you will translate our strategy into effective operational delivery.

The COO will maintain WinACC’s finance and operating systems, and core organisational infrastructure, ensuring WinACC is financially robust, compliant, and able to scale its impact. This is a new post, and presents an opportunity for someone to come in and make a real difference in an exciting new chapter in the development of WinACC. The role requires sound judgement, and a proactive, hands-on approach, with a willingness to engage in both strategic planning and day-to-day operational matters. Given the nature of the organisation and the size of the team, the successful candidate will also need excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a small team. They will be expected to build strong working relationships, communicate clearly and sensitively, and contribute positively to a supportive and conscientious working environment.

Your role 

Join Global’s Make Some Noise as our Partnerships Manager and be at the forefront of driving fundraising income through securing and account managing high value corporate and charity partnerships.

This is a predominantly new business role (around 70%), focused on identifying opportunities, developing compelling partnership propositions and securing significant income through both commercial and charity partnerships. About RASASC: RASASC Guildford Limited is a registered charity supporting people of all genders, from the age of 13, from across Surrey, who have experienced the trauma of sexual harm, whether recently or in the past.

War on Want is a radical charity working in solidarity with grassroots movements and organisations around the world to fight the root causes of poverty, inequality and injustice. We campaign against corporate power, economic exploitation and systems of oppression that drive poverty and human rights violations.

We are seeking a consultant with significant experience in partnership-building, programme design and development and resource mobilisation to support the growth of our international partnerships and movement-building work.

Working with War on Want staff and our existing partners, the Consultant will identify opportunities for collaboration with labour, feminist and social movement organisations in the Global South (primarily South Asia and Africa). They will develop partnership-centred programme concepts and position these to  fundraise with relevant philanthropic donors and identify  funding opportunities.

The Consultant will be part of the International Partnership Programmes Team, working closely with our Senior Fundraising Officer and, where relevant, Senior Campaign Officers. • Manage straightforward projects from start to finish through all RIBA stages.

Location: Hybrid working - Part London office-based (E14) and part home working. The post holder will work a minimum of one day a week in the office.

Who we are looking for 

Breakthrough T1D is the UK’s leading type 1 diabetes charity, dedicated to funding research, advocating for change, and supporting the T1D community. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Finance to help us ensure the finance function is fit for purpose so that we can deliver our ambitious 10-year strategy.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & IT, this is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the day–to–day management of the finance function, responsible for monthly financial reporting including quarterly reforecasts and co ordinating the annual budget as well as partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation.You will also lead on the annual accounts and external audit. 

Managing a team of 3 (2.2 FTE), you will ensure the organisation continues to deliver robust financial control, insightful charity reporting and effective support to operational teams.  

Experience required 

You’ll be/have: 

• CCAB qualified financial professional (or finalist) 
• Experience working for a charity in a senior finance role with fundraised income of £1m or more 
• Strong business partnering skills and experience working closely with senior operational leaders. 
• Strong financial reporting, controls and systems confidence 
• Ability to work both strategically and hands–on 
• Familiar with the charity SORP 
• Strong people management and leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams 
• Excellent accounting, analytical, and communication skills allied with a pragmatic and solution focused approach.
