The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is responsible for researching prospects, developing applications and managing deadlines to maintain and develop a strong portfolio of small and medium trust and foundation supporters, securing sustainable income for all aspects of The Brain Tumour Charity’s work in line with fundraising priorities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and ambitious team.
You will manage and maintain a pipeline of compelling and well-written applications and reports being submitted to small and medium trusts and foundations, ensuring excellent cultivation and stewardship of these relationships. We're looking for a friendly, proactive Advice Caseworker (Outreach Specialist) to join our high performing Advice Service.
This is a unique role combining student advice and outreach. You'll provide one-to-one advice to students on academic matters, while also developing and delivering engaging outreach activities that help students understand the support available to them.

What you would be doing

Main purposes of the post
To support the delivery of the community-led violence reduction programme in Salford, working with young people, communities and VCSE partners in Little Hulton.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit worked with 10GM, other VCSE providers and local communities to co-design our approach to a community-led violence reduction programme. The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.
Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week.

Great support has a substantial impact on small environmental charities and the people they benefit. In this role you will be delivering an established, enjoyable, professional development programme for city farms, community gardens and care farms. You'll focus on training, networking and showcase events. The role involves getting out and about, but most of the work is office work. This role does not include any practical gardening or farming activities.
Hours: Three days a week (22.5 hours). Ideally to include Tuesdays.

Role Overview:
To support the delivery of a popular, enjoyable programme of training, networking and events designed with and for city farms and community gardens. The London Development Officer is part of a London team of two, working closely with the London Development Manager, and staff of city farms and community gardens, including the trustees of the London Association of City Farms and Community Gardens. The London team works with the wider team of Social Farms & Gardens based in the UKs countries and regions.
The London programme is well-established and well-regarded.
Annual outputs include:
· Training days designed and delivered by SF&G members
· Networking tours of community growing spaces
· Showcase events including the London Harvest Festival

About the team
The Trusts and Foundations team forms part of High Value Partnerships within Shelter’s Income Generation Directorate.
The team currently consists of eight fundraisers and one Grants Manager, working together to secure funding and develop lasting relationships with trusts and foundations.
Income Generation raises around £40 million each year to support Shelter’s work. You will work closely with colleagues across Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partnerships, Major Donors, Special Events and Legacies, as well as colleagues in Shelter’s services, campaigns and finance teams.
