About the Role

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Service Manager at Lillie Road, Talgarth Road & Shepherds House.

The H&F Supported Accommodation Pathway consists of supported accommodation for 129 clients across seven sites, including 24-hour staffed complex needs hostels and semi-independent services.

The semi‑independent accommodation services in Hammersmith & Fulham provide safe, supportive housing for clients with low to medium support needs, across three separate sites, working with some of the most well‑known and vulnerable clients in the borough, using psychologically informed and trauma‑informed approaches to help people build stability, develop independence, and make meaningful progress in their lives.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to step up, gain experience across multiple sites, and play a key role in shaping positive outcomes for clients. You will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure that each service operates safely, smoothly and consistently, and that clients receive high‑quality, trauma‑informed support.

This is a rare opportunity to project manage a National Heritage Lottery funded development programme at a pivotal moment. You'll oversee specialist consultants across visitor experience, accessibility, commercial development and community stewardship; coordinate our project Steering Group and ensure the programme is rigorously evaluated and reported to our funder.

This role will transform our existing flagship Chef Educator programme into a bitesize eLearning course and create a new School Food Standards course,  making high-quality chef training accessible, practical and engaging for every school chef.

About you and the role

We are looking for a creative and systematic Training Development Lead to help us develop two eLearning training courses to support school chefs across the country engage with professional development. 

In this role, you will lead two key training projects. First, you will take the lead on a major digital transformation, evolving our existing flagship School Chef Educator programme, which is currently a 10-week hybrid model, into a streamlined, high-quality, eLearning training course. Working closely with the Chef Educator team, you will transform the course content into a bitesize, accessible online course that will be available nationally. You will work with school chefs to feed into the design, delivery, and pilot of the course, embedding feedback loops to ensure early improvements. You will work with our evaluation team to ensure the course meets our organisation’s goals, whilst embedding impact and evaluation metrics into the back end of the course design.

Second, you will lead the creation of a brand-new eLearning course focused on School Food Standards, ensuring every school chef has the tools to meet modern nutritional and quality benchmarks. The course will be made available to all school chefs nationwide and is therefore required to be accessible and easily digestible to all types of learners. This short course will provide the bedrock to understand the School Food Standards, to ensure compliance and improvements can be made nationwide throughout school kitchens. 

Training for school chefs is currently not mandatory, nor commonplace, a core mission of ours to change, therefore the online-only courses need to truly meet the requirements of trainees, with every minute of training being practical, engaging and delivering high-impact.

Key responsibilities:

Your primary objective is to create two eLearning training courses for school chefs; School Chef Educator & School Food Standards. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Audit the existing 10-week hybrid School Chef Educator programme and reimagining its delivery for a 100% digital environment.

• Design and develop the end-to-end eLearning course for the School Food Standards, ensuring it is accessible, interactive, and compliant with English regulations.

• Work with Programme Managers, Chef Trainers and the Chief Innovation Officer for content information and development of both courses.

• Lead content creation, from scripting video lessons, designing interactive quizzes and self reflective tasks, and creating downloadable resources, specifically tailored for a time poor audience.

• Develop learner journeys, ensuring it is intuitive for users who may have varying levels of literacy and digital literacy, and who may learn across desktop and mobile devices whilst on-site. 

• Work closely with our stakeholders, including school chefs, to ensure all content is grounded in the practical realities of school catering.

• Test and iterate on course modules based on pilot feedback to ensure high completion rates and genuine skill acquisition.

 Essential skills & experience:

• Experience in developing eLearning training courses from scratch, ideally within a Learning Management System (LMS) environment. 

• Experience of successfully converting face-to-face or hybrid training into fully digital formats that maintain high levels of learner engagement.

• You are able to translate technical or complex language into clear, understandable communications. 

• You have experience in developing videos for training courses.

• A strong understanding of how to optimise content for desktop and mobile viewing.

• The ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

• You have the ability to listen, understand and interpret user requirements 

• You are self-motivated, audience-focused and driven.

• You have an interest and belief in our mission, to improve kids' health through improving food and food education in schools.

Desirable skills & experience:

• Experience in school catering or the UK education sector

• Experience of the charity sector, and the ability to identify where training outcomes can amplify long-term impact

About the FCLP

upReach is recruiting for our unique Future Charity  Leaders Programme (FCLP). This is a great opportunity for anyone who is passionate about social mobility, and looking to gain exposure to various aspects of charity management whilst working with university students who are exploring their career options. We welcome applications from those in the corporate world who are looking for a career change as well as recent graduates wanting to kick-start their career in the third sector.

upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) combines delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.

As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP, you will deliver personalised, employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping to transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including:

• 1:1 undergraduate coaching

• Events organisation

• Application support

• Partnership management (with university partners or employer partners)

In addition to this, the programme offers the opportunity to develop skills in key areas of charity management by participating in 3 rounds of six-month 'rotations' across different functions. What will I be doing?

The FCLP is a fast-paced but rewarding role. Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with Associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18 months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with Associates, helping them to achieve their career goals 

• Developing and delivering professional development-focused support

• Individual and small group work with Associates 

• Assisting Associates with their applications to undergraduate positions and graduate jobs 

• Developing sector and/or employability skill knowledge while building resources to aid all Associates

We have 2 vacancies for Case Coordinators to join our No Second Night Out and Rough Sleeping Prevention Services:

• 1 x Rough Sleeping Prevention Service (Lambeth & Islington) - Fixed term contract until 31st March 2027
• 1 x NSNO West Hub (Pound Lane) - Permanent

Candidate will be considered for both roles.

Both teams provide a rapid response service, intervening to ensure no one needs to sleep rough. Clients in these services will have a range of support needs to include low to high levels of mental health and substance misuse, immigration support needs and other complex issues.

This role will best suit someone who can adapt to a fast paced environment while contributing to and drawing strength from a supportive team of experienced colleagues.

In the pivotal role of Case Coordinator, you will work flexibly to support clients where they need us the most.

What you'll be doing: 

• Work with the managers to maintain a high quality service and deliver an effective accommodation case management system.
• Provide line management, motivation and supervision to staff to ensure they can deliver thorough assessment planning with a recovery-focused approach with the aim of reaching rapid move on and positive outcomes for clients.
• Build strong relationships with partner agencies to continually improve options and ensure safe and suitable accommodation, as well as other short-term or provisions are available for clients.

About the Role

The Upper Room (TUR) works with individuals experiencing homelessness, poverty, social exclusion and involvement with the criminal justice system. Through UR4Meals, UR4Driving and UR4Jobs, we provide practical support, dignity and opportunity to some of the most disadvantaged members of our community in West London.

TUR anticipates an annual income of approximately £725,000 in 2026/27, with around 57% generated through trusts and foundation grants. We have strong, established relationships with the majority of our funders, including a number of multi-year grants already in place.

We are seeking a Fundraising Officer to lead, shape and grow our income generation activity at a pivotal time for the organisation. This role is responsible for securing and sustaining the funding required to meet growing demand across our services.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead on trusts and foundations and community fundraising initiatives. You will play a key role in shaping strategy while also delivering high-quality funding applications and maintaining strong funder relationships.
