Chief Income Officer
Location: Oxford and Home Based
Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time hours (35 per week)
Oxfam GB is looking for an exceptional fundraising leader to become its new Chief Income Officer, leading income generation across one of the UK’s best-known charities and helping shape the next stage of its growth.
Oxfam works alongside communities, partners and activists around the world to tackle the inequality and injustice that drive poverty. Its work spans humanitarian response, long-term development and campaigning for systemic change, with people across the UK playing their part through fundraising, campaigning, volunteering, retail and other forms of support.
Reporting to the Chief Executive and joining Oxfam GB’s Strategic Leadership Team, you will have enterprise-wide responsibility for income generation, with a broad remit spanning fundraising, supporter engagement and retail. You will lead a major area of Oxfam’s work through a period of change, building on strong foundations, identifying new opportunities for growth and increasing the resources available to deliver its mission.
This is a role with exceptional reach. Oxfam’s retail operation has a presence on high streets across the country and is supported by more than 20,000 volunteers, while its wider income activity reaches millions of supporters and donors. You will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team, setting clear direction, strengthening leadership capability and creating the conditions for people to perform and develop.
You will bring a strong income generation perspective to the wider organisational strategy, working closely with the CEO, Strategic Leadership Team, Trustees and colleagues across the organisation. You will need to see where Oxfam’s strengths and opportunities lie, make clear choices about investment and resources and turn potential into sustainable growth.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Fundraising Director or senior income generation leader from a large, complex organisation, with experience as a member of a Senior Leadership Team. You will have a strong track record of income growth, strategic leadership and leading diverse teams through change. You will combine deep fundraising expertise with sound judgement, collaborative leadership and a genuine commitment to Oxfam’s purpose, values and feminist leadership principles.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of income generation at Oxfam GB and help increase the resources, reach and impact of an organisation working for a fairer and more sustainable world.
