The Trusts and Foundations (T&F) Officer is an integral part of the Philanthropy team, managing relationships with high value supporters. They are responsible for a portfolio of approximately 40-50 Trusts and Foundations donors, primarily giving between £25k-£100k, but also with the potential to include those giving below and above that level, to support with team capacity and best stewardship. The Trusts and Foundations (T&F) Officer will build strong and strategic relationships with donors, ensuring continued support of MSF.

They are also responsible for seeking and securing new funding from prospective trusts and foundations at the £25k-£100k level. Their overall focus is on delivering stable, new and increased income for MSF's work, and feeding into the  Philanthropy team strategy around the retention and acquisition of new trust donors.

The Role

Active Together is a multimodal prehabilitation and rehabilitation service that has been developed by world leading academics and practitioners at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) at Sheffield Hallam University and funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Reporting to the Services Manager, The Service Administrator will support the operational and patient-facing functions of the Active Together service. This role involves managing NHS referrals, patient bookings, service appointments, and team administration, ensuring seamless coordination of facilities and resources.

The role involves close collaboration with the Yorkshire Cancer Research Active Together Service team and the Hull University Teaching Hospitals (HUTH) clinical staff delivering the Hull service. You will support the Service Manager in delivering the day-to-day operational management of the service premises. Additionally, you will support the administration involved in onboarding new Yorkshire Cancer Research staff, ensuring a smooth transition into the service. 
 

Specifically, you will:

Patient Flow & Service Coordination

• Process patient referrals and book initial assessments, supporting patient onboarding into the Active Together service.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments, including cancellations, waiting lists, and transport arrangements.
• Assist patients with completing necessary questionnaires.
• Maintain accurate service records including any Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system data and oversee efficient discharge processes.
• Support Service Manager in the management of monitoring and quality assurance data and processes.
• Communicate with service users and stakeholders to provide information about Active Together.
• Support service users in navigating the program and signpost them to relevant health and wellbeing resources.

Administrative & Operational Support

• Support the development, implementation and improvement of service administrative systems and processes.
• Support team administration, including diary management, email monitoring, postal management and staff induction support.
• Oversee stock control for office and service consumables and manage third-party cleaning and maintenance contracts.
• Facilitate room bookings for service appointments, team meetings, and events.
• Undertake minute-taking for team meetings.
• Maintain a welcoming and professional environment, ensuring high standards of customer service.
• Manage service facilities ensuring cleanliness, presentation, and functionality.
• Report and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with Yorkshire Cancer Research policies.

Financial & Procurement Management

• Process purchase orders, invoices, and expenses as required.
• Maintain optimal stock levels for patient literature and welcome packs, service equipment, office, and centre supplies.

Other duties

• Support service data collection and evaluation initiatives.
• Provide cover during staff absences and assist in general administrative duties.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory training, governance procedures, and service improvement initiatives.
• Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal and manage the rota for First Aid and Fire Marshal cover

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent qualifications /experience) to include English Language at grade 4/C or above.
• To have NVQ 3 Business Admin or Customer Services or equivalent experience
• To have demonstrable short courses or equivalent experience in report writing, data collation and analysis of results
• To have experience in administrative role(s) within healthcare or service-based environments
• To have experience of Lorenzo/Patient Administration Systems, databases and information systems
• To have experience of implementing and developing operational and administrative processes and procedures.
• To have experience of working in a role where organisational skills are essential and there is a requirement to work autonomously and as part of various teams across an organisation.
• To have experience of utilising excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the Participation Manager, you will help shape and develop programmes using collaborative approaches with community groups, schools and youth organisations. This will include building partnerships that support sustained engagement with underserved audiences and encourage young people and families to explore ongoing opportunities within Wakehurst.

Experience of developing new participation initiatives, and embedding inclusive practice within programmes, as well as knowledge of evaluation and safeguarding, would be beneficial.

On our structured Traineeship scheme, you’ll gain first-hand experience and on-the-job training in what we do. You’ll be expected to work full time on a rota basis. About the team

Our Property and Facilities team is responsible for ensuring Shelter’s estate is fit for purpose and fully compliant for its staff, volunteers and clients. We provide a full range of professional services, including acquisitions, disposals, rent and lease negotiations, rating, estates management, building surveying, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, health & safety and facilities management. We also support all office and shop relocations, refurbishments and planned maintenance projects, while our portfolio comprises one freehold head office property in London, 24 leasehold offices and around 90 leasehold shops across England and Scotland.

About the role

You will be responsible for all property related matters across Scotland and England for our diverse portfolio. That will involve making regular site visits, with occasional overnight stays. As well as ensuring all lease events are managed and actioned and properties are safe, maintained and fully compliant, we’ll also rely on you to assist with the development and implementation of robust policies, processes and systems to help manage the estate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You’ll need a degree level qualification in a surveying/property related discipline and full RICS membership. You’ll also need a good understanding of the planning process and building regulations approval system. Self-motivated, capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team, and with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, providing solutions, giving sound property advice and negotiating effectively with a variety of key stakeholders comes naturally to you. About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Registered Practitioner Psychologist with a background in clinical psychology to join our team in Croydon. The service offers a psychologically informed environment across four sites, providing low to high support forensic mental health services to our residents with forensic mental health needs, complex conditions, and dual diagnosis.

In this role, you will drive the delivery of evidence based psychological assessments and interventions aimed at the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents into the communities. This is a creative, evolving, and impactful role which works closely with our Group Psychological Lead and wider teams to provide support to staff and at times residents to support in providing a streamlined and psychologically informed service.

Key Responsibilities Include: 

• Provide advice, guidance, and support to the team with supporting our residents to overcome personal challenges and create a supportive environment
• Advise and streamline best practices, and enhance the overall skills and expertise of the team to deliver high quality care and support
• Provide clinical supervision to the team
• Provide highly specialised psychological assessments for our residents with mental health and complex needs

About You

We're looking for someone who is a self-starter, able to proactively encourage, take leadership and ownership for creating a psychologically informed environment.
