Role Description
Working closely with colleagues and project partners, the Volunteer Manager will lead the recruitment, training, development and management of volunteers across the Cathedral and Abbey site as part of the Abbey of St Edmund Reborn project, funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This innovative £1 million partnership between Birmingham City Council, Greater Change and Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) aims to improve outcomes for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or experiencing multiple disadvantage through personalised financial support.
You'll work closely with partners across housing, homelessness, health, criminal justice and the voluntary sector to ensure the fund is delivering real impact. Location: We are a UK-based business with an office in the Old Street area of London, accessible via a number of public transport links. Colleagues typically spend 40% - 60% of their working hours in the office, and the remainder from home. However, the exact requirements for this role can be discussed at interview. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of CAN, combining office management, communications, event coordination and facilities support. You'll be the welcoming face of the organisation and play a key role in supporting our team to deliver impact across communities.
We're flexible on the number of hours and can consider both part-time and full-time applications. However, the successful candidate must be able to work from our Poole office at least three days per week Tuesday to Thursday inclusive.
